■Needle (F SPORT models)
Select to change the needle color for the tachometer.
■Rev indicator (F SPORT models)
Select to set the rev indicator on/off.
When set to on, proceed to set the engine speed at which the rev indicator will
be displayed.
Selectable engine speed range: 2000 r/min to 6000 r/min
■Rev peak (F SPORT models)
Select to set the rev peak on/off.
■Speed indicator (F SPORT models)
Select to set the speed indicator on/off.
When set to on, proceed to set the vehicle speed at which the speed indicator
will be displayed.
Selectable speed range:
Type A*1: 30 mph to 100 mph (50 km/h to 160 km/h)*3
Type B*2: 50 km/h to 200 km/h (30 mph to 125 mph)*3
*1:For U.K.
*2:Except for U.K.
*3: Always observe the legal speed limit when driving on public roads.
■Initialization
Select to reset the meter display settings. ( P. 608)
■Suspension of the settings display
In the following situations, operation of th e settings display will be temporarily sus- pended.
●When a warning message appears on the multi-information display
●When the vehicle begins to move
■Tire pressure
●It may take a few minutes to display the tire inflation pressure after the engine switch is
turned to IGNITION ON mode. It may also take a few minutes to display the tire infla- tion pressure after inflation pressure has been adjusted.
●“---” may be displayed if the tire position information cannot be determined due to
unfavorable radio wave conditions.
●Tire inflation pressure changes with temperature. The displayed values may also be dif- ferent from the values measured using a tire pressure gauge.

■When the “-” paddle shift switch is operated with the shift lever in the D position
The shift range is downshifted to a range that enables engine braking force that is suit- able to driving conditions.
■Automatic deactivation of shift range selection in the D position
Shift range selection in the D position will be deactivated in the following situations:
●When the vehicle comes to a stop
●If the accelerator pedal is depressed for more than a certain period of time
●When the shift lever is shifted to a position other than D
■Downshifting restriction warning buzzer
To help ensure safety and driving performa nce, downshifting operation may sometimes
be restricted. In some circumstances, down shifting may not be possible even when the shift lever or paddle shift switch is operated. (A buzzer will sound twice.)
■Snow mode automatic deactivation
Snow mode is automatically deactivated if the power switch is turned off after driving in snow mode.
■When driving with cruise control or dynamic radar cruise control activated
Even when performing the following actions with the intent of enabling engine braking, engine braking will not activate because crui se control or dynamic radar cruise control will not be canceled.
●While driving in the D or S position, downshifting to 5 or 4. ( P. 253, 257)
●When switching the driving mode to sport mode while driving in D position. (P. 301)
■Shift lock system
The shift lock system is a system to prevent accidental operation of the shift lever in start- ing.
The shift lever can be shifted from P only when the power switch is in IGNITION ON
mode and the brake pedal is being depressed.

The indicator comes on when the ASC system is on.
When the dial is turned to the lowest volume, the ASC system will be turnedoff and the indicator will go off.

The driving mode select switch is in normal mode or sport mode. (P. 301)
■Temporary cancelation of the ASC system functions
The ASC system may be temporarily cancel ed depending on the driving conditions, such as when the tires slip due to sudden acceleration.
ASC (Active Sound Control)
: If equipped
The ASC system is an electronic soun d system that generates engine sound,
conveying the kinetic situations of the vehicle’s acceleration and deceleration
to the driver through the speakers inside the instrument panel.
The vehicle’s response to the driver’s acceleration behavior and shift opera-
tions are also conveyed in sound.
When sport mode is selected, the sound conveyed to the driver will be louder.

Vehicles without Adaptive Variable Suspension System
Normal mode
Provides an optimal balance of fuel ec onomy, quietness, and dynamic perfor-
mance. Suitable for city driving.
Press the switch to change the driving mode to normal mode when Eco drive mode or sport mode is selected.
Eco drive mode
Helps the driver accelerate in an eco-friendly manner and improve fuel econ-
omy through moderate throttle characteristics and by controlling the opera-
tion of the air conditioning system (heating/cooling).
When not in Eco drive mode, if the driving mode select switch is turned to the left, the Eco drive mode indicator will come on.
Sport mode
Controls the hybrid system to provide quick, powerful acceleration. This
mode also changes the steering feel, making it suitable for when agile driving
response is desired, such as when driving on roads with many curves.
When not in sport mode, if the driving mode select switch is turned to the right, the
“SPORT” indicator will comes on.

ously controlling the steering and suspen sion in addition to the hybrid sys-
tem. Suitable for sportier driving.
When in SPORT S mode, if th e driving mode select switch is turned to the right, the “SPORT S+” indicator will come on.

■Operation of the air conditioning system in Eco drive mode
Eco drive mode controls the heating/cooling operations and fan speed of the air condi- tioning system to enhance fuel efficiency ( P. 432). To improve air conditioning perfor- mance, adjust the fan speed or turn off Eco drive mode.
■Sport mode automatic deactivation
Sport mode is automatically deactivated if the power switch is turned off after driving in sport mode.

When trouble arises

Take out the towing eyelet. (P. 565)
Remove the eyelet cover using a flathead screwdriver.
To protect the bodywork, place a rag betw een the screwdriver and the vehicle body as shown in the illustration.
Insert the towing eyelet into the hole
and tighten partially by hand.
Tighten down the towing eyelet
securely using a wheel nut wrench
or hard metal bar.
Securely attach cables or chains to the towing eyelet.
Take care not to damage the vehicle body.
Enter the vehicle being towed and start the hybrid system.
If the hybrid system does not start, turn the power switch to ON mode.
Shift the shift lever to N and release the parking brake.

Master warning light
The master warning light also comes on or flashes in order to indicate that a message is currently being displayed on the multi-information display.
Multi-information display
If any of the warning message is shown again after the following actions have
been performed, contact any authorized Lexus dealer or repairer, or another
duly qualified and equipped professional.

Indicates that operation of large electricity consuming systems such as the air conditioning system are sus-
pended  Stop using unnecessary electric components to reduce electricity consumpt ion. Wait a while until
the electric power supply is restored.
Indicates that the EV drive mode is not available*The reason the EV drive mode is not available (the
vehicle is idling, hybrid battery [traction battery] charge is low, speed is higher than the EV drive modeoperating speed range, accelerator pedal is
depressed too much) may be displayed. A buzzer also sounds. Use the EV drive mode when it becomes available.
Indicates that the EV drive mode has been automatically
canceled*
The reason the EV drive mode is not available (the hybrid battery [traction batter y] charge is low, speed is
