Maintenance and care

■Replacing the following bulbs
If any of the lights listed below has burnt out, have it replaced by any autho-
rized Lexus dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified and equipped profes-
sional.
●Headlights
●Front position lights and daytime running lights
●Front turn signal lights (LED type)
●Front fog lights (if equipped)
●Side turn signal lights
●Stop/tail lights
●Stop lights
●Tail lights
●Rear fog light
●High mounted stoplight
●License plate lights
■LED lights
The lights other than the front turn signal lights (bulb type), rear turn signal lights and back-up lights each consist of a number of LE Ds. If any of the LEDs burn out, take your vehicle to any authorized Lexus dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified and
equipped professional to have the light replaced.
■Condensation build-up on the inside of the lens
Temporary condensation build-up on the inside of the headlight lens does not indicate a
malfunction. Contact any authorized Lexus dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified and equipped professional for more info rmation in the following situations:
●Large drops of water have built up on the inside of the lens.
●Water has built up inside the headlight.

8-1. Essential information
Press the switch.
All the turn signals will flash. To turn them off, press the switch onceagain.
■Emergency flashers
If the emergency flashers are used for a long time while the hybrid system is not operat-
ing (while the “READY” indicator is not illuminated), the 12-volt battery may discharge.
Emergency flashers
The emergency flashers are used to wa rn other drivers when the vehicle has
to be stopped in the road due to a breakdown, etc.

■Turn signal lever ( P. 229)
*1: After flashing the turn signal lights when turning left or right while this function is off
and the turn signal lever is moved to the fi rst position in the direction of the flashing
light, the turn signal lights can be selected to be flashing or off.
*2: The turn signal lights keep flashing if the turn signal lever is moved to the first position
in the direction of flashing light.
*3: The turn signal lights will be off if the turn signal lever is moved to the first position in
the direction of flashing light.

■Vehicle customization
●When the speed-detecting automatic door lock and shift-linked automatic door lock are both on, the door lock operates as follows.
• When shifting the shift lever to any position other than P, both side the doors will be
locked. • If the vehicle is started with both side doors locked, the speed-detecting automaticdoor lock will not operate.
• If the vehicle is started with any door unlocked, the speed-detecting automatic door lock will operate.
●When the smart entry & start system is off, the entry unlock function cannot be custom-ized.
●When the doors remain closed after unlocking the doors and the timer activated auto-
matic door lock function activates, signals will be generated in accordance with the operational signal (Emergency flashers) function setting.
●Some settings can be changed using a switch or the audio system screen. If a setting is
changed using a switch, the changed setting will not be reflected on the audio system screen until the power switch is turned off and then to ON mode.
■When customizing using the Remote Touch or Lexus Display Audio controller
Stop the vehicle in a safe place, apply the parking brake, and shift the shift lever to P. Also, to prevent 12-volt battery discharge, leave the hybrid system operating while customiz-ing the features.
WARNING
■During customization
As the hybrid system needs to be operating during customization, ensure that the vehi- cle is parked in a place with adequate ventilation. In a closed area such as a garage,exhaust gases including harmful carbon monoxide (CO) may collect and enter the
vehicle. This may lead to death or a serious health hazard.
NOTICE
■During customization
To prevent 12-volt battery discharge, ensure that the hybrid system is operating while customizing features.
