A control is on the overhead console and onthe rear seat armrest bezel.
Press and release the control to open orclose the sun shade. To stop motion andreturn the sun shade to its previous position,press the control a second time.
The sun shade automatically retracts whenyou shift the transmission into reverse (R).
MOONROOF (If Equipped)
WARNING: Do not let children playwith the moonroof or leave them unattendedin the vehicle. They may seriously hurtthemselves.
WARNING: When closing themoonroof, you should verify that it is free ofobstructions and make sure that children andpets are not in the proximity of the roofopening.
The moonroof controls are located on theoverhead console and have a one-touchopen and close feature. To stop itsmovement during one-touch operation, pressthe control a second time.
Opening and Closing the Moonroof
Moonroof open. Press and releaseto open the moonroof.A
Moonroof vent. Press and releaseto vent the moonroof.B
Sunshade open. Press and releaseto open the sunshade. Thesunshade opens automatically withthe moonroof. You can also openthe sunshade with the moonroofclosed.

Bounce-Back
The moonroof automatically reverses somedistance if an obstacle is detected whileclosing.
To override this feature, press and hold themoonroof close control within two secondsafter the roof comes to a stop following abounce-back reversal.

Heated Seats
Press to switch the heated seats on and off.See Heated Seats (page 166).
Recirculated Air
Press to switch between outside air andrecirculated air. The air currently in thepassenger compartment recirculates. Thismay reduce the time needed to cool theinterior, when used with A/C, and reduceunwanted odors from entering your vehicle.
Note:Recirculated air may turn off, orprevent you from switching on, in all air flowmodes except MAX A/C to reduce the riskof fogging. Recirculation may also turn onand off in Panel or Panel/Floor air flowmodes during hot weather in order toimprove cooling efficiency.
AUTO
Press to switch on automatic operation.Adjust to select the desired temperature. Fanspeed, air distribution, air conditioningoperation, and outside or recirculated airadjust to heat or cool the vehicle to maintainthe desired temperature. You can also switchoff dual zone mode by pressing and holdingfor more than two seconds.
Automatic Fan Settings
The AUTO button illuminates for thefollowing fan settings:
•When three indicators are on, the fanadjusts to the highest speed to reach theselected temperature as quickly aspossible.
•When two indicators are on, the fanadjusts to a medium speed to reach theselected temperature with a reducedamount of cabin noise.
•When one indicator is on, the fan adjuststo the lowest speed to reach the selectedtemperature with the least amount ofcabin noise.
Note:The system starts at the previous fansetting when you switch on AUTO.
Ventilated Seats
Press to switch the ventilated seats on andoff. See Seats (page 153).
Fan Speed Control
Adjusts the volume of air circulated in thevehicle.
Heated Rear Window
Press to switch the heated rear window onand off. See Heated Windows and Mirrors(page 151).
Heated Steering Wheel (If Equipped)
Press to switch the heated steering wheelon and off. See Heated Steering Wheel(page 88).

HEATED WINDOWS AND MIRRORS
Note:Make sure the engine is runningbefore operating the heated windows.
Note:Depending on your remote startsettings, the heated windows, mirrors andwipers may remain on after remote startingthe vehicle.
Heated Rear Window
Press the button to clear theheated rear window of thin ice andfog. The heated rear window turnsoff after a short period of time. Press thebutton again to switch it off. It illuminateswhen you switch the system on.
Note: Do not use razor blades or othersharp objects to clean or remove decals fromthe inside of the heated rear window. Thevehicle warranty does not cover damagecaused to the heated rear window grid lines.
Heated Exterior Mirrors (If Equipped)
When you switch the heated rear windowon, the heated exterior mirrors turn on.
Note:Do not remove ice from the mirrorswith a scraper or adjust the mirror glasswhen it is frozen in place.
Note:Do not clean the mirror housing orglass with harsh abrasives, fuel or otherpetroleum-based cleaning products.

Windshield Wiper De-icer (If Equipped)
The windshield wiper de-icer turns on in lowtemperatures or when you manually switchthe heated rear window on.
CABIN AIR FILTER
Your vehicle is equipped with a cabin airfilter, which gives you and your passengersthe following benefits:
•It improves your driving comfort byreducing particle and odor concentration.
•It improves the interior compartmentcleanliness.
•It protects the climate controlcomponents from particle deposits.
You can locate the cabin air filter behind theglove box.
Note:Make sure you have a cabin air filterinstalled at all times. This prevents foreignobjects from entering the system. Runningthe system without a filter in place couldresult in degradation or damage to thesystem.
Replace the filter at regular intervals. SeeScheduled Maintenance (page 523).
For additional cabin air filter information, orto replace the filter, see a qualifiedtechnician.
REMOTE START
The system adjusts the interior temperaturedepending on your chosen settings duringremote start.
You cannot adjust the climate control settingduring remote start operation. When youswitch the ignition on, the climate controlsystem returns to the previous settings. Youcan now make adjustments.
Some features may remain on if they turn onduring remote start:
•Driver heated seat.
•Driver ventilated seat.
•Heated steering wheel.
•Heated mirrors.
•Heated rear window.
•Windshield wiper de-icer.
Note:If the passenger heated or ventilatedseats are on when you switch the vehicleoff, they default to the driver setting whenyou switch the vehicle on.
You can adjust the default remote startsettings using the information displaycontrols. See Information Displays (page115).
Automatic Settings
In hot weather, the system sets to 72°F(22°C). The ventilated seats set to high (ifavailable, and if you select AUTO in theinformation display).
In moderate weather, the system heats orcools (based on pre-selected settings). Therear defroster, heated mirrors and heated orventilated seats do not turn on.
In cold weather, the system sets to 72°F(22°C). The heated seats and heated steeringwheel set to high (if available, and if youselect AUTO in the information display). Therear defroster and heated mirrors turn on.

You can also adjust this feature through thetouchscreen.
Press the Menu Settings icon, thenVehicle. Choose Multi-ContourSeats.
When switched on, the system displaysdirections for you to adjust the lumbarsettings in your seat or to set the massagefunction.
To access and make adjustments to thelumbar setting:
1. Choose the desired seat to adjust.
2. Press the + or - to adjust the lumbarintensity.
To access and make adjustments to themassage setting:
1. Press the Menu Settings icon, thenVehicle. Choose Multi-Contour Seats.
2. Choose the desired seat to adjust.
3. Press OFF, Low or High.
MEMORY FUNCTION
WARNING: Before activating thememory seat, make sure that the areaimmediately surrounding the seat is clear ofobstructions and that all occupants are clearof moving parts.
WARNING: Do not use the memoryfunction when your vehicle is moving.
This feature automatically recalls the positionof the following:
•Driver seat.
•Power mirrors.
•Power steering column.
The memory control is on the driver door.Saving a Preset Position
1. Switch the ignition on.
2. Adjust the memory features to yourdesired position.
3.Press and hold the desired preset buttonuntil you hear a single tone.

Possible CauseSymptom
A parked vehicle has a high attachment. For example, a salt sprayer, snowplow or movingtruck bed.
The parking space length or position of parked objects changes after your vehicle passesthe space.
The temperature around your vehicle quickly changes. For example, driving from aheated garage into the cold, or after leaving a car wash.
REAR VIEW CAMERA
WARNING: The rear view camerasystem is a reverse aid supplement devicethat still requires the driver to use it inconjunction with the interior and exteriormirrors for maximum coverage.
WARNING: Objects that are close toeither corner of the bumper or under thebumper, might not be seen on the screendue to the limited coverage of the camerasystem.
WARNING: Reverse your vehicleslowly. Failure to follow this instruction couldresult in the loss of control of your vehicle,personal injury or death.
WARNING: Use caution when the rearcargo door is ajar. If the rear cargo door isajar, the camera will be out of position andthe video image may be incorrect. Allguidelines disappear when the rear cargodoor is ajar. Failure to follow this instructioncould result in personal injury.
WARNING: Use caution when turningcamera features on or off when thetransmission is not in park (P). Make sureyour vehicle is not moving.
The rear view camera system provides avideo image of the area behind your vehicle.
During operation, lines appear in the displaywhich represent your vehicle’s path andproximity to objects behind your vehicle.

Rear bumperF
Active guidelines are only shown with fixedguidelines. To use active guidelines, turnthe steering wheel to point the guidelinestoward an intended path. If you change thesteering wheel position while reversing, yourvehicle might deviate from the originalintended path.
The fixed and active guidelines fade in andout depending on the steering wheelposition. The active guidelines do notdisplay when the steering wheel position isstraight.
Always use caution while reversing. Objectsin the red zone are closest to your vehicleand objects in the green zone are fartheraway. Objects are getting closer to yourvehicle as they move from the green zoneto the yellow or red zones. Use the side viewmirrors and rear view mirror to get bettercoverage on both sides and rear of thevehicle.
Camera System Settings
You can access the rear view camera systemsettings through the display screen. SeeSettings (page 480).

The system uses red, yellow and greenhighlights that appear on top of the videoimage when any of the sensing systemsdetect an object.
Manual Zoom
WARNING: When manual zoom is on,the full area behind your vehicle may notshow. Be aware of your surroundings whenusing the manual zoom feature.
Note:Manual zoom is only available whenthe transmission is in reverse (R).
Note:When you enable manual zoom, onlythe centerline is shown.
Selectable settings for this feature are zoomin (+) and zoom out (-). Press the symbol inthe camera screen to change the view. Thedefault setting is zoom off.
This allows you to get a closer view of anobject behind your vehicle. The zoomedimage keeps the bumper in the image toprovide a reference. The zoom is only activewhile the transmission is in reverse (R).
Rear Camera Delay
Selectable settings for this feature are onand off.
The default setting for the rear camera delayis off.
When shifting the transmission out of reverse(R) and into any gear other than park (P), thecamera image remains in the display until:
•Your vehicle speed sufficiently increases.
•You shift your vehicle into park (P).
360 DEGREE CAMERA (If Equipped)
WARNING: The 360 degree camerasystem still requires the driver to use it inconjunction with looking out of the windows,and checking the interior and exterior mirrorsfor maximum coverage.
WARNING: You may not see objectsthat are close to either corner of the bumperor under the bumper due to the limitedcoverage of the camera system.
WARNING: Use caution when turningcamera features on or off when thetransmission is not in park (P). Make sureyour vehicle is not moving.
WARNING: At all times, you areresponsible for controlling your vehicle,supervising the system and intervening, ifrequired. Failure to take care may result inthe loss of control of your vehicle, seriouspersonal injury or death.
Note:Use caution using the 360 view whenany of the doors are ajar. If a door is ajar,the camera will be out of position and thevideo image may be incorrect.
The 360 degree camera system consists offront, side and rear cameras. The system:
•Allows you to see what is directly in frontor behind your vehicle.
•Provides cross traffic view in front andbehind your vehicle.
