F ILLER SySTEM
Your vehicle has a ‘no cap’ fuel system
which allows you to simply press open the
fuel filler door, insert the nozzle and start
fueling. Wait five seconds from the time the
refueling nozzle is shut-off until the nozzle
is pulled back out of the fill pipe to allow
residual fuel in the nozzle to drain into the
tank. The Easy Fuel™ system is self-sealing
and therefore protected against dust, dirt,
water, snow and ice. If you need to fill your
fuel tank with a portable fuel container, use
the fuel funnel which is attached to the rear
of the spare tire compartment. Slowly insert
the funnel into the Easy Fuel™ system and
fill the tank with fuel from the container.
When done, clean the funnel or properly
dispose of it. Extra funnels can be purchased
from your authorized dealer. Do not use
aftermarket funnels as they will not work
with the Easy Fuel™ system and may
cause damage.

labeled as “Regular” in high altitude areas
that are sold with octane ratings less than
87. Do not use E85 fuels because your
vehicle was not designed to run on fuels
with more than 10% ethanol.

collision speed. Note: Driving aids do not
replace the need to watch where the vehicle

system will not brake without the driver
depressing the brake pedal. Refer to your

Active Park Assist (i\b equi\f\fed)
The active park assist system can detect an
available parking space and automatically
steer the vehicle into that space (hands-
free). The system instructs the driver with
visual and/or audible instructions with
regard to braking, accelerating and shifting
gears in order to safely park the vehicle. To
initiate active park assist, press the AUTO P
button
AU TOP on the center console. To stop the
parking procedure, grab the steering wheel
or press the control again. For complete
information, please refer to Active Park
Assist in the Driving chapter of your Owner’s
Guide. Note: Park assist does not replace the
need to watch where the vehicle is moving.
Refer to your Owner’s Guide for safety
information, more detail and limitations. Blind
	S\fot Mirrors (i\b equi\f\fed)
Blind spot mirrors have an integrated convex
mirror spotter in the upper corner on the
outside mirrors. These mirrors help increase
visibility alongside the vehicle thereby
helping you see a vehicle which may be in
your blind spot. As the vehicle approaches,
its image will transition from the main
mirror to the blind spot mirror. Refer to your
Owner’s Guide for more information.
Ambient Lighting
Illuminates footwells, storage bins and
cupholders with a choice of several colors.
The ambient lighting control is located
on the instrument panel to the left of the
steering wheel. To activate, press the top
of the control repeatedly to cycle through
the color options and turn the feature
off. Press the bottom of the control to
change intensity.
EcoBoost™ Engine (i\b equi\f\fed)
If your vehicle has an EcoBoost engine, you
may, under certain circumstances, notice a
different engine sound. This is normal for
your direct injection, turbocharged engine
and may occur if your vehicle is idling while
parked next to a wall, if you are standing
outside the running vehicle, or in certain
idle situations. This sound comes from
the direct injector system which is used to
improve your vehicle’s fuel economy and
engine performance.
