Wi-Fi Access Point issues

Position the vehicle close to the access point with the front of thevehicle facing the access point direction and remove obstacles ifpossible. Other Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microwave and cordless phones maycause interference.

If the vehicle is equipped with heated windshield, try positioning thevehicle so that the windshield is not facing the access point. There may be an obstruction betweenSYNC 3 and the access point.Poor signal seen by SYNC3 despite being near aaccess point.
Try to remove other obstructions that may impact signal quality suchas opening the garage door.

Make sure that song titles, artists, album, and playlists names do nothave any special characters like *, - or +.
The song or artist name may have somespecial characters that are not beingrecognized by SYNC 3.

Why Maintain Your Vehicle?
Carefully following the maintenanceschedule helps protect against major repairexpenses resulting from neglect orinadequate maintenance and may help toincrease the value of your vehicle when yousell or trade it. Keep all receipts forcompleted maintenance with your vehicle.
We have established regular maintenanceintervals for your vehicle based uponrigorous testing. It is important that you haveyour vehicle serviced at the proper times.These intervals serve two purposes; one isto maintain the reliability of your vehicle andthe second is to keep your cost of owningyour vehicle down.
It is your responsibility to have all scheduledmaintenance performed and to make surethat the materials used meet thespecifications identified in this owner'smanual. See Capacities and Specifications(page 343).
Failure to perform scheduled maintenanceinvalidates warranty coverage on partsaffected by the lack of maintenance.

Many dealerships have extended eveningand Saturday hours to make your servicevisit more convenient and they offer one stopshopping. They can perform any servicesthat are required on your vehicle, fromgeneral maintenance to collision repairs.

Scheduled Maintenance

Axle and PTU maintenance: The PowerTransfer Unit (PTU) and rear axle (AWD only)in your vehicle does not require any normalscheduled maintenance. The PTU lubricantwill be more likely to require a fluid changeif the vehicle has extended periods ofextreme or severe duty cycle driving.Changing or checking the PTU lubricant isnot necessary unless the unit has beensubmerged in water, shows sign of leakage.Contact your authorized dealer for service.
California fuel filter replacement: If youregister your vehicle in California, theCalifornia Air Resources Board hasdetermined that the failure to perform thismaintenance item does not nullify theemission warranty or limit recall liability
before the completion of your vehicle'suseful life. Ford Motor Company, however,urges you to have all recommendedmaintenance services performed at thespecified intervals and to record all vehicleservice.
Hot climate oil change intervals: Vehiclesoperating in the Middle East, North Africa,Sub-Saharan Africa or locations with similarclimates using an American PetroleumInstitute (API) Certified for Gasoline Engines(Certification mark) oil of SM or SN quality,the normal oil change interval is 5,000 mi(8,000 km).
If the available API SM or SN oils are notavailable, then the oil change interval is3,000 mi (4,800 km).
Engine air filter and cabin air filterreplacement: The life of the engine air filterand cabin air filter is dependent on exposureto dusty and dirty conditions. Vehiclesoperated in these conditions require frequentinspection and replacement of the engineair filter and cabin air filter.

Those softwareproducts of FORD MOTOR COMPANYorigin, as well as associated media,printed materials, and "online" orelectronic documentation ("SOFTWARE")are protected by international intellectualproperty laws and treaties. TheSOFTWARE is licensed, not sold. Allrights reserved.
•The SOFTWARE may interface withand/or communicate with, or may be laterupgraded to interface with and/orcommunicate with additional softwareand/or systems provided by FORDMOTOR COMPANY.

UPGRADES AND RECOVERY MEDIA: If theSOFTWARE is provided by FORD MOTORCOMPANY separate from the DEVICES onmedia such as a ROM chip, CD ROM disk(s)or via web download or other means, and islabeled "For Upgrade Purposes Only" or "ForRecovery Purposes Only" you may install one(1) copy of such SOFTWARE onto theDEVICES as a replacement copy for theexisting SOFTWARE, and use it inaccordance with this EULA, including anyadditional EULA terms accompanying theupgrade SOFTWARE.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS: Alltitle and intellectual property rights in and tothe SOFTWARE (including but not limited toany images, photographs, animations, video,audio, music, text and "applets" incorporatedinto the SOFTWARE), the accompanyingprinted materials, and any copies of theSOFTWARE, are owned by FORD MOTORCOMPANY, or its affiliates or suppliers. •Navigation Features: Any navigationfeatures included in the system areintended to provide turn by turninstructions to get you to a desireddestination. Please make certain allpersons using this system carefully readand follow instructions and safetyinformation fully.
•Distraction Hazard: Any navigationfeatures may require manual (non-verbal)setup. Attempting to perform such set-upor insert data while driving can distractyour attention and could cause anaccident or other serious injury. Stop thevehicle in a safe and legal manner beforeattempting these operations.
•Let Your Judgment Prevail: Anynavigation features are provided only asan aid. Make your driving decisionsbased on your observations of localconditions and existing traffic regulations.Any such feature is not a substitute foryour personal judgment. Any routesuggestions made by this system shouldnever replace any local traffic regulationsor your personal judgment or knowledgeof safe driving practices.
•Route Safety: Do not follow the routesuggestions if doing so would result inan unsafe or illegal maneuver, if youwould be placed in an unsafe situation,or if you would be directed into an areathat you consider unsafe. The driver isultimately responsible for the safeoperation of the vehicle and therefore,must evaluate whether it is safe to followthe suggested directions.
•Potential Map Inaccuracy: Maps usedby this system may be inaccuratebecause of changes in roads, trafficcontrols or driving conditions. Always usegood judgment and common sense whenfollowing the suggested routes.
•Emergency Services: Do not rely on anynavigation features included in thesystem to route you to emergencyservices. Ask local authorities or anemergency services operator for theselocations. Not all emergency servicessuch as police, fire stations, hospitals andclinics are likely to be contained in themap database for such navigationfeatures.
