WARNING
The temperature grade for this tireis established for a tire that isproperly inflated and not overloaded.Excessive speed, underinflation, orexcessive loading, either separately orin combination, can cause heat buildupand possible tire failure.
The temperature grades are A (thehighest), B and C, representing the tire’sresistance to the generation of heat andits ability to dissipate heat when testedunder controlled conditions on aspecified indoor laboratory test wheel.Sustained high temperature can causethe material of the tire to degenerate
and reduce tire life, and excessivetemperature can lead to sudden tirefailure. The grade C corresponds to alevel of performance which all
passenger car tires must meet under theFederal Motor Vehicle Safety StandardNo. 139. Grades B and A representhigher levels of performance on thelaboratory test wheel than the minimumrequired by law.
Glossary of Tire Terminology
•Tire label: A label showing theoriginal equipment tire sizes,recommended inflation pressure andthe maximum weight the vehicle cancarry.
•Tire Identification Number: Anumber on the sidewall of each tireproviding information about the tirebrand and manufacturing plant, tiresize and date of manufacture. Alsoreferred to as DOT code.
•Inflation pressure: A measure of theamount of air in a tire.
•Standard load: A class of P-metric orMetric tires designed to carry amaximum load at set pressure. Forexample: For P-metric tires 35 psi(2.4 bar) and for Metric tires 36 psi(2.5 bar). Increasing the inflationpressure beyond this pressure willnot increase the tire’s load carryingcapability.
•Extra load: A class of P-metric orMetric tires designed to carry aheavier maximum load at 42 psi(2.9 bar). Increasing the inflationpressure beyond this pressure willnot increase the tire’s load carryingcapability.
•kPa: Kilopascal, a metric unit of airpressure.
•PSI: Pounds per square inch, astandard unit of air pressure.
•Cold tire pressure: The tire pressurewhen the vehicle has been stationaryand out of direct sunlight for an houror more and prior to the vehiclebeing driven for 1.0 mi (1.6 km).

•Treadwear The treadwear grade isa comparative rating based on thewear rate of the tire when testedunder controlled conditions on aspecified government test course.For example, a tire graded 150 wouldwear one and one-half times as wellon the government course as a tiregraded 100.
•Traction: The traction grades, fromhighest to lowest are AA, A, B, andC. The grades represent the tire'sability to stop on wet pavement asmeasured under controlledconditions on specified governmenttest surfaces of asphalt and concrete.A tire marked C may have poortraction performance.
•Temperature: The temperaturegrades are A (the highest), B and C,representing the tire's resistance tothe generation of heat and its abilityto dissipate heat when tested undercontrolled conditions on a specifiedindoor laboratory test wheel.
M. Maximum Inflation Pressure:Indicates the tire manufacturers'maximum permissible pressure or thepressure at which the maximum loadcan be carried by the tire. This pressureis normally higher than the vehiclemanufacturer's recommended coldinflation pressure which can be foundon the Safety Compliance CertificationLabel (affixed to either the door hingepillar, door-latch post, or the door edgethat meets the door-latch post, next tothe driver's seating position), or TireLabel which is located on the B-Pillar orthe edge of the driver’s door. The coldinflation pressure should never be setlower than the recommended pressureon the vehicle label.
The tire suppliers may have additional
markings, notes or warnings such asstandard load or radial tubeless.

A. LT: Indicates a tire, designated by theTire and Rim Association, that isintended for service on light trucks.

functioning properly. Always check the TPMSmalfunction telltale after replacing one ormore tires or wheels on your vehicle toensure that the replacement or alternate tiresand wheels allow the TPMS to continue tofunction properly.

Changing Tires With a Tire PressureMonitoring System
Note:Each road tire is equipped with a tirepressure sensor located inside the wheeland tire assembly cavity. The pressuresensor is attached to the valve stem. Thepressure sensor is covered by the tire andis not visible unless the tire is removed. Takecare when changing the tire to avoiddamaging the sensor.
You should always have your tires servicedby an authorized dealer.
Check the tire pressure periodically (at leastmonthly) using an accurate tire gauge. SeeWhen Inflating Your Tires in this chapter.
Understanding Your Tire PressureMonitoring System
The tire pressure monitoring systemmeasures pressure in your road tires andsends the tire pressure readings to yourvehicle. You can view the tire pressurereadings through the information display.See General Information (page 111). The lowtire pressure warning light will turn on if thetire pressure is significantly low. Make sure tires are at the proper pressure. See Inflating your tiresin this chapter. After inflating your tires to the manufacturer’srecommended pressure as shown on the Tire Label (located onthe edge of driver’s door or the B-Pillar), the vehicle must be drivenfor at least two minutes over 20 mph (32 km/h) before the lightturns off.

When Inflating Your Tires
WARNING
Do not use the tire pressure displayedin the information display as a tirepressure gauge. Failure to follow thisinstruction could result in personal injury ordeath.
When putting air into your tires (such as at agas station or in your garage), the tirepressure monitoring system may not respondimmediately to the air added to your tires.
It may take up to two minutes of driving over20 mph (32 km/h) for the light to turn off afteryou have filled your tires to therecommended inflation pressure.
How Temperature Affects Your TirePressure
The tire pressure monitoring system monitorstire pressure in each pneumatic tire. Whiledriving in a normal manner, a typicalpassenger tire inflation pressure mayincrease about 2–4 psi (14–28 kPa) from acold start situation. If the vehicle is stationary
overnight with the outside temperaturesignificantly lower than the daytimetemperature, the tire pressure may decreaseabout 3 psi (21 kPa) for a drop of 30°F (17°C)in ambient temperature. This lower pressurevalue may be detected by the tire pressuremonitoring system as being significantlylower than the recommended inflationpressure and activate the system warninglight for low tire pressure. If the low tirepressure warning light is on, visually checkeach tire to verify that no tire is flat. If one ormore tires are flat, repair as necessary.Check the air pressure in the road tires. Ifany tire is under-inflated, carefully drive thevehicle to the nearest location where air canbe added to the tires. Inflate all the tires tothe recommended inflation pressure.

Do not use tire sealants as they maydamage the tire pressure monitoringsystem.

If the tire pressure monitor sensorbecomes damaged it may not function.
Note:The tire pressure monitoring systemindicator light will illuminate when the sparetire is in use. To restore the full function ofthe monitoring system, all road wheelsequipped with tire pressure monitoringsensors must be mounted on the vehicle.
If you get a flat tire while driving, do not applythe brake heavily. Instead, graduallydecrease your speed. Hold the steeringwheel firmly and slowly move to a safe placeon the side of the road.
Have a flat serviced by an authorized dealerin order to prevent damage to the tirepressure monitoring system sensors. SeeTire Pressure Monitoring System (page 359).Replace the spare tire with a road tire assoon as possible. During repairing orreplacing of the flat tire, have an authorizeddealer inspect the tire pressure monitoringsystem sensor for damage.

Do not expose discs to direct sunlight or heatsources for extended periods.
MP3 and WMA Track and FolderStructure
Audio systems capable of recognizing andplaying MP3 and WMA individual tracks andfolder structures work as follows:
•There are two different modes for MP3and WMA disc playback: MP3 and WMAtrack mode (system default) and MP3 andWMA folder mode.
•MP3 and WMA track mode ignores anyfolder structure on the MP3 and WMAdisc. The player numbers each MP3 andWMA track on the disc (noted by the MP3or WMA file extension) from T001 to amaximum of T255. The maximum numberof playable MP3 and WMA files may beless depending on the structure of theCD and exact model of radio present.
•MP3 and WMA folder mode representsa folder structure consisting of one levelof folders. The CD player numbers allMP3 and WMA tracks on the disc (notedby the MP3 or WMA file extension) andall folders containing MP3 and WMA files,from F001 (folder) T001 (track) to F253T255.
•Creating discs with only one level offolders helps with navigation through thedisc files.
If you are burning your own MP3 and WMAdiscs, it is important to understand how thesystem reads the structures you create. Whilevarious files may be present (files withextensions other than MP3 and WMA), onlyfiles with the MP3 and WMA extension areplayed; other files are ignored by the system.This enables you to use the same MP3 andWMA disc for a variety of tasks on your workcomputer, home computer and yourin-vehicle system.
In track mode, the system displays and playsthe structure as if it were only one level deep(all MP3 and WMA files play, regardless ofbeing in a specific folder). In folder mode,the system only plays the MP3 and WMA filesin the current folder.

We will use reasonable endeavours toprovide the SUNA Traffic Channel 24 hoursa day, 365 days a year. The SUNA TrafficChannel may occasionally be unavailable fortechnical reasons or for plannedmaintenance. We will try to performmaintenance at times when congestion islight. We reserve the right to withdraw SUNAProducts and/or Services at any time.
Also, we cannot assure the uninterruptedreception of the SUNA Traffic ChannelRDS-TMC signal at any particular location.
6. Limitation of Liability
Neither Intelematics (nor its suppliers or themanufacturer of your device (the“Suppliers”)) shall be liable to you or to anythird party for any damages either direct,indirect, incidental, consequential orotherwise arising out of the use of or inabilityto use SUNA Products and/or Services evenif Intelematics or a Supplier has been advisedof the possibility of such damages. You alsoacknowledge that the neither Intelematicsnor any Supplier guarantees nor make anywarranties that relate to the availability,accuracy or completeness of SUNA Products
