All doors, fuel-filler flap, and liftgate
will automatically unlock if they are
locked using the power door locks
with any door or the liftgate open.
The vehicle lock-out prevention
feature does not operate while the
ignition is switched off.
When all doors, fuel-filler flap, and
liftgate are locked using the power
door lock with any door or the
liftgate open, the closed doors,
fuel-filler flap, and liftgate are
locked. After that, when all doors
and the liftgate are closed, all doors
and the liftgate are locked. However,
if the key is inside the vehicle, all
doors, fuel-filler flap, and liftgate are
automatically unlocked.
(With the advanced keyless
function)
The beep sound is heard for about
10 seconds to notify the driver that
the key has been left in the vehicle.
(Without the advanced keyless
function)
The horn sound is heard twice to
notify the driver that the key has
been left in the vehicle.
x(Door unlock (control) system with
collision detection)
This system automatically unlocks the
doors, fuel-filler flap, and liftgate in
the event the vehicle is involved in an
accident to allow passengers to get
out of the vehicle immediately and
prevent being trapped inside. While
the ignition is switched ON and in
the event the vehicle receives an
impact strong enough to inflate the
air bags, all the doors,
fuel-filler
flap,
and liftgate are automatically
unlocked after about 6 seconds have
elapsed from the time of the
accident.
The doors, fuel-filler flap, and liftgate
may not unlock depending on how
an impact is applied, the force of the
impact, and other conditions of the
accident.
If door-related systems or the battery
is malfunctioning , the doors and
the , fuel-filler flap, and liftgate may
not unlock depending on your
vehicle type.
▼Unlocking with Auxiliary Key
Only the driver's door can be unlocked
using the auxiliary key.
Refer to Keys on page 3-2.
Insert the auxiliary key while the
driver's door handle is pulled and turn
the key to the unlock side. Turn the
auxiliary key back to its original
position before removing it.
NOTE
If you attempt to open the driver’s
door using an unauthorised auxiliary
key, the key cylinder will spin around
but the door will not unlock.
▼Double Locking System*
The double locking system is designed
to prevent someone who has broken
into your vehicle from opening the
door from the inside.
If you have any problems with the
double locking system, consult an
expert repairer (we recommend an
Authorised Mazda Repairer).

Fuel with a lower rating will negatively affect the emission control system
performance and could also cause engine knocking and serious engine damage.
CAUTION
¾USE ONLY UNLEADED FUEL.
Leaded fuel is harmful to the catalytic converter and oxygen sensors and will lead
to deterioration of the emission control system and or failures.
¾The use of E10 fuel with 10 % ethanol in Europe is safe for your vehicle. Damage
to your vehicle may occur when ethanol exceeds this recommendation.
¾Never add fuel system additives other than a Mazda genuine product, otherwise
the emission control system could be damaged. Consult an expert repairer (we
recommend an Authorised Mazda Repairer) for details.
NOTE
(Premium unleaded fuel (within E85))
To maintain good engine startability and performance, the following points must be
observed.
xRefuelling using the same-type fuel is recommended. xAdd 16 L (4.2 US gal, 3.5 Imp gal) or more of fuel when refuelling. xDrive the vehicle 10 km (6.2 mile) or more just after refuelling to allow the
vehicle's engine control system to learn the ethanol concentration accurately.
▼Deposit Cleaner
To get the best performance out of our
newest-technology SKYACTIV petrol
engines, cleaning of deposits adhering
to the fuel related system, such as fuel
injectors, may be required by using a
Mazda genuine deposit cleaner in the
specified countries. Refer to

3. Trip meter A display
4. Trip meter B display
Odometer
The odometer records the total
distance the vehicle has been driven.
Tr i p m e t e r
The driving distance for a specified
interval is indicated. Two types (TRIP A,
TRIP B) of interval distance and the
average fuel economy for each can be
measured.
For instance, trip meter A can record
the distance from the point of origin,
and trip meter B can record the
distance from where the fuel tank is
filled.
When trip meter A is selected, TRIP A
will be displayed. When trip meter B is
selected, TRIP B will be displayed.
The trip meter and average fuel
economy can be reset by pressing the
TRIP switch for 1.5 seconds or more
while in each mode.
NOTE
xOnly the trip meters record tenths of
kilometres (miles).
xThe trip record will be erased when:
xThe power supply is interrupted
(blown fuse or the battery is
disconnected).
xThe vehicle is driven over 9999.9
km (mile).
▼Engine Coolant Temperature
Gauge

temperature. The blue range of the
gauge indicates that the engine coolant
temperature is low, and the red range
of the gauge indicates that the engine
coolant temperature is high and
overheating.
