Replacing the wiper blades
! Only fold the windscreen wipers away from
th ewi nd screen or rear window when thewipers
are vertical .Othe rwise, youco uld dam aget he
bo nnet.
Un der no circumst ances sh ould you open the
bo nnet when the wiper arm sare fol dedfo r-
wa rds. Othe rwise, you could dam ageth e bonnet. !
Do not fold thewi pe r arm sontoth ewi nd-
screen or rear window wit hout wiper blades.

speciali st workshop. Mercedes-Benz recom-
me nds that you use a Mercedes-Benz Servi ce
Ce ntre for this purpose .If yo u are charging the
bat teries yourself, observe the opera ting inst ruc-
ti ons for you rbatte ry charge r.
! Onlyus e ba tter y ch arge rs with ama ximum
vo ltage of 14.8 V. Sta
rter battery
6 Make sure that the battery charger is
swi tche doff and connec tit to the ter-
mi nals on the star ter battery .Observe
the note sin the oper ating inst ruc tions
fo r the battery charger wh endoing so.
6 Refitt he charged sta rterbatter yand
fo ld the bar do wn. 6
Fit the st arte r battery inthe engine
co mp artment.
6 Fold the retainer down.
