The trunk lid opening height can be restricted when
transporting goods on a roof rack (e.g. presence of an
MB sport luggage container). When activated, the trunk
lid opens to below the roof line of the vehicle.
To a c ti va te :
Press upper half of trunk lid opening /closing switch for
a minimum of 5 seconds.
To deactivate:
Press upper half of trunk lid opening /closing switch for
a minimum of 5 seconds.Note:
To fully open the trunk lid while opening height
restriction activated, deactivate it.

Drive sensibly – save fuel
Fuel consumption, to a great extent, depends on driving
habits and operating conditions.
To save fuel you should:
•keep tires at the recommended inflation pressures.
•remove unnecessary loads,
•remove roof rack when not in use,
•allow engine to warm up under low load use,
•avoid frequent acceleration and deceleration,
•have all maintenance work performed at regular
intervals by an authorized Mercedes-Benz Center.
Fuel consumption is also increased by driving in cold
weat her, i n stop -and -go traf f ic, on short trip s an d i n hilly

Roof rackUse only those roof racks approved by Mercedes-Benz to
avoid damage to the vehicle. Follow manufacturer’s
installation instructions.
Only mount roof racks on the retrofitted mounting
points (see arrows).
Mounting a roof rack requires a one-time installation of
take-up points.
Note:
Please observe that the roof does not interfere with the
operation of the sliding / pop-up roof and that there is
sufficient clearance between the roof rack and the trunk
lid in the full open position.
