Apple CarPlay™
Overview of Apple CarPlay™
iPhone®functions can be used via the multime‐
dia sy stem using Apple CarPlay™. They are oper‐
ated using the controller or the Siri
®vo ice-oper‐
ated control sy stem. You can activate thevo ice-
operated control sy stem bypressing and holding
th eó button on the multifunction steering
wheel.
When using Apple CarPlay™ via thevo ice-oper‐
ated control sy stem, the multimedia sy stem can st
ill be operated via Voice Cont rol Sy stem
(
→page 227).
Only one mobile phone at a time can be connec‐
te d via Apple CarPlay™ tothe multimedia sys‐
te m.
The availability of Apple CarPlay™ may vary
according tothe count ry.
The service pr ovider is responsible forth is appli‐
cation and the services and conte nt connected
to it.
Note s on Apple CarPlay™
While using Apple CarPlay™ various functions of
th e multimedia sy stem, e.g. telephony or the

interior air filter, engine air filter, engine oil, oil

& WARNING Risk of accident when driving
in li mp-home mode
When driving in emergency mode the han‐
dling characteristics are impaired, e.g. when
cornering, when accelerating stronglyand
when braking.

speed.
#Av oid any abrupt steering and driving
maneuvers as well as driving over
obs tacles (curbs, pot holes, off-road).

wa ll of the tire.

#Correct the tire pressure if it is still at least
13 0 kPa (1.3 bar/19 psi). See theTire and
Loading Info rmation placard B‑pillar on the
driver's side or the tire pressure table in the
fuel filler flap forva lues.

#To reduce the tire pressure: press pressure
