If yo u open the bonnet in theev ent of an over-
heated vehicle or /re in the engine compart-
ment, thefo llowing situations may occur:
R You may come into contact with hot gases.

engine compartment, keep the bonnet
closed and call the /re service. #
Allow theov erheated vehicle tocool
down /r stifyo u need toopen the bon-

tem
The brake 0uid constantly absorbs moisture
from the air. This lo wersthe boiling point of
th e brake 0uid. If the boiling point is too lo w,
va pour poc kets may form inthe brake system
when the brakes are applied hard.
This impairs the braking e.ect. #
Have the brake 0uid rene we d at the
speci/ed inter vals. Ha
ve the brake 0uid regula rly re placed at a quali-
/ed specialist workshop.
Only use a brake 0uid appr ovedby Mercedes-
Benz according toMB-F reigabe or MB-Appr oval

antif reeze
If antifreeze comes into contact with hot com-
ponent parts in the engine compartment, it
may ignite. #
Allow the drive system tocool down
before youto p up the antifreeze. #
Make sure that no antif reeze spills out
next tothe /ller opening. #
Thoroughly clean the antifreeze from
component parts before starting the
ve hicle. *
