Fillflacon 2with a maximum of 15ml. #
Screw cap 1back onto flacon 2.

Before entering theve hicle, the driver's seat
area or the whole vehicle interior can be briefly
pre-warmed or pre-cooled.
When pre-cooling, thefo llowing functions are

Switching pre-entry climate control via
the

Re quirements:
R The high- voltage battery is charge d suf fi‐
cientl y.
R The function has been activated via the mul‐
timedia sy stem. #
Toswitch on: unlocktheve hicle.
The climate contro l functions are activated
fo r up tofive minutes for pre-heating and
pre-cooling.
Pre-entry clima tecontrol via theke y cannot be
activated more than thre e times when theve hi‐
cle is switched off. #
Toswitch off: pushthe& button up or
down.
The following functions will remain active once
th eve hicle has been star ted:
R Seat heating
R Seat ventilation
R Frag rancing R
Ionisation Pre-entry climate control at depa

WARNING Dangertolife due toexpo‐
sure toextreme heat or cold in theve hi‐
cle
If people, particular lych ildren, are exposed
to extreme temp eratures over an extended
pe riod of time, there is a risk of serious
injury or danger tolife. #
Never lea vepersons, children in partic‐
ular, unat tended in theve hicle. The
vehicle interior can be air conditioned when
th eve hicle is par ked.
When theve hicle is connected topowe r supply
equipment, priority is given tocharging the high-
vo ltage battery toa specified minimum charge. The
running time of pre-entry clima tecontrol
may be reduced under thefo llowing conditions:
R The vehicle is not connected topowe r supp ly
equipment.
R The high-voltage battery is not charge d suf fi‐
ciently.
Wi th active pre-ent ryclimate control, thech arge
le ve l of the high-voltage battery may be reduced,
eve n if thech arging cable connec tor is connec‐
te d.
Fo r cooling, thefo llowing functions are activated
as needed:
R Automatic clima tecontrol
R Blower
R Seat ventilation
Fo r heating, thefo llowing functions are activated
as needed:

Ve ry hot or very cold air can flow from the air
ve nts. #
Makesure that all vehicle occupants
alw ays maintain a suf ficient di stance
from the air vents. #
If necessa ry, direct the air flow to
ano ther area of theve hicle interior. To
guarantee theflow of fresh air thro ugh the air
ve nts into theve hicle interior, comply with the
fo llowing:
R Alw ayske ep theve nts and vent grilles in the
ve hicle interior clear.
R Keep the air inlet free of residue build-up
(/ page 304). #
Toopen or close: Turn adjustment wheel 1
upwards (open) or down wards (closed) as far
as it will go. #
Toadjust the air direction: Push adjust‐
ment slide 2upwards, down wards, to the
left or totheright.
Ad justing the rear air vents #
Toopen or close: turn controller2tothe
left or right as far as it will go. #
Toset the air flow direction: hold air
ve nt 1 inthe cent reand mo veit up or down

fo ld open the soc ketflap.
The % indicator lamp 2and status dis‐
play 3light up white.
% When the drive sy stem is star ted (the õ
display is lit in the multifunction display),
soc ketflap 1 cannot be opened. #
Press cat ch7 tothe left and fold up soc ket
co ver5.
% Only connection 8isrequ ired forthe
ch arging cable connec tor.Open only the
upper part of soc ket co ver5. #
Tocharge at a mains soc ket, insert the mains
plug into the mains soc ket of theex tern al
po we r source tothestop and set the maxi‐
mum charging cur rent if requ ired
(/ page 168). #
Insert thech arging cable connec tor into vehi‐
cle soc ket connection 8tothestop. If the
wa llbox/ charging station is not equipped
with a charging cable, insert the plug of the
ve hicle's charging cable into thewa llbox/
ch arging station soc ketto thestop.
Make sure that thech arging cable is not taut
when inser ted.
The # indicator lamp 4and status dis‐
play 3flash orange and, as soon as the
high-voltage battery is charge d, green.
% When thech arging sequence forth e ambient
lighting is activated, the ambient lighting
lights up for appro ximately 30 seconds as with
the# indicator lamp 4
(/ page 130).
If th ech arging cable is connec tedto theve hicle,
th e drive sy stem cann otbe star ted and theve hi‐
cle cannot be mo ved.
At thest art of thech arging process, thech arge
le ve l display is shown in the instrument clus ter
with a charging prediction. The charging predic‐
tion either refers to the predicted charge leve l at
th e set departure time, or the time at which the
high-voltage battery will be fully charge d.
% When the ignition is switched on, a lightning
symbol appears next tothech arge leve l dis‐
play in the instrument clus ter during the
ch arging process.
% Depending on thete mp erature, thefa n and
battery cooling sy stem may audibly switch
on during thech arging process.
% Ifth eve hicle is idle for lengt hyperiods and
connec tedto the mains suppl y,the high-volt‐
age battery will be rech arge d automatically
as needed or when elect rical consumers are

The brake fluid cons tantly absorbs moi sture
from the air. This lo wersthe boiling point of
th e brake fluid. If the boiling point is too lo w,
va pour poc kets may form inthe brake sys‐
te m when the brakes are applied hard.
This impairs the braking ef fect. #
Have the brake fluid rene we d at the
