The special tyre tread in combination with the
optimised tyre compound means that therisk of skidding and
hydroplaning on wetro ads is
increased.
In addition, the tyre grip is greatly reduced at
a low outside temp erature and tyre running
te mp erature. #

ing style accordingl y. #
Use i M+S tyres at outside temp era-
tures of less than 10 °C. #
Only use the tyres forth eir intended pur-
pose. Obser
vethefo llowing when selecting, /tting and
re placing tyres:
R Countr y-speci/c requ irements for tyre
appr oval that de/ne a speci/c tyre type for
yo ur vehicle.
Fu rthermore, the use of cer tain tyre types in
cer tain regions and areas of operation can be
high lybene/cial.
R Only use tyres and wheels of the same type
(summer tyres, winter tyres, MOExtended
tyres) and the same make. R
Only /t wheels of the same size on one axle
(leT and right).
It is only permissible to/t a di.e rent wheel
size in the event of a 0at tyre in order todrive
to the specialist workshop.
R Only /t tyres of the cor rect size onto the
wheels.
R Do not make any modi/cations tothe brake
system, the wheels or the tyres.
The use of shims or brake dust shields is not
permitted and may in validate theve hicle's
ge neral ope rating permit.

R Use only a vehicle-speci/c jack that has been

ing theve hicle for a short time while a wheel
is being changed and not for maintenance

R The jack must be placed on a /rm, 0at and

R The foot ofthe jack must be positioned verti-

Using the wheel wrench, loosen the wheel
bolts on the wheel you wish tochange by
about one full turn. Do not unscr ewthe

tyre pressure monitoring system cannot func-
tion reliabl y.Fo r a few minutes aTer an emer-
ge ncy spa rewheel is /tted, the system may
