the monitored area.Ifyou then switch onthe
corresponding turnsignal tochange lane,you
will also receive anoptical andaudiblewarn-
ing.

approximately 20mph (30km/h).

The radar sensors forBlind SpotAssist are
integrated intotherear bumper. Makesure

slush. Thesensors mustnotbecovered, for
example bycycle racks oroverhanging loads.
Following asevere impact orinthe event of
damage tothe bumpers, havethefunction of
the radar sensors checked ataqual ified spe-
cialist workshop. BlindSpotAssist maynolon-
ger work properly.

If avehicle isdetected withintheblind spot
monitoring rangeatspeed sabove 20mph
(30 km/h), warning lamp0043onthe corre-
sponding sidelights upred. This warning is
alw ays emitted whenavehicle enterstheblind
spot monitoring rangefrombehind orfrom the
side. When youovertake avehicle ,the warning
only occurs ifthe difference inspeed isless
than 7mph (12km/h ).
The yellow indicator lampgoesoutifreverse
gear isengaged .In this event, BlindSpot
Assist isno longer active.
