If snow chains aremount edon the rear
wheels, thesnow chains couldcause abra-
sion tothe vehicle bodyortochassis com-

To avoid hazardous situations:
R never mount snowchains onthe rear
wheels
R only mount snowchains inpairs onthe
fron twheels.

some tiresizes there isnot enough
space forsnow chains. Toavoid damage to
the vehicle ortires, observe the"Wheel and
tire combin ations" sectionunder "Tiresand
wheels".
For safety reasons, Mercedes- Benzrecom-
mends thatyouonly usesnow chains that
have been specially approved foryour vehicle
by Mercedes- Benz,or are ofacorr esponding
