Ifthere is arisk of becoming trappedbythesteering wheel:

Ifthe easy entryandexitfeature is active,thesteering wheel will moveupwards andthe driv‐er's seat will moveback inthefollowing situa‐tions:
Ryou switchthe ignition off whenthe driver'sdoor is open
Ryou openthe driver's door whenthe ignitionis switched off
%Thesteering wheel will moveupwards onlyifit is not already as high as it will go. The driv‐er's seat will movebackwards only if it is notalready intherearmost position.
Thesteering wheel andthe driver's seat willmovebacktothe last drive position inthefol‐lowing cases:
Ryou switchthe power supplyorthe ignitionon whenthe driver's door is closed
Ryou closethe driver's door whenthe ignitionis switched on

Ifyouexceedthe maximumroof load,thedrivingcharacteristics, aswell asthesteer‐ing and brakingcharacteristics, will begreatlyimpaired.

Cornering light
Cornering light function
The cornering light improvesthe illumination oftheroadwayover a wide angle inthe turningdirection, enabling better visibility on tightbends,forexample. It can be activated onlywhenthe low beam is switched on.
The function is active:
RAtspeeds below 25mph (40 km/h) whenthe turn signal light is switched on orthesteering wheel is turned
RAtspeeds between 25mph (40 km/h) and45mph (70 km/h) whenthesteering wheelis turned
Traffic circle and intersection function:thecornering light is activated on bothsidesthroughanevaluation ofthe current GPS position ofthevehicle. Itremains active until afterthevehiclehas leftthe traffic circle orthe intersection.
Adaptive Highbeam Assist
Adaptive Highbeam Assist function
&WARNINGRisk of accident despiteAdaptive Highbeam Assist
Adaptive Highbeam Assist does notrecog‐nizethefollowingroad users:
RRoad users without lights, e.g. pedes‐trians
RRoad users with poor lighting, e.g.cyclists
RRoad users whose lighting is obstructed,e.g.bya barrier
Onveryrareoccasions,Adaptive HighbeamAssist mayfailtorecognizeotherroad userswiththeirown lighting, or mayrecognizethemtoo late.
Inthese or similar situations,the automatichigh beam is not deactivated or is activateddespitethe presence ofotherroad users.
#Always observethe traffic carefully andswitch offthe high beam in good time.
Adaptive Highbeam Assist cannottakeintoaccountroad,weather or traffic conditions.
Detection may berestricted inthefollowingcases:
Rin poor visibility,e.g.fog, heavyrain or snow
Rifthere is dirt onthe sensors orthe sensorsare obscured
Adaptive Highbeam Assist is onlyan aid.You areresponsiblefor adjustingthevehicle's lightingtothe prevailing light, visibility and traffic condi‐tions.

Ifyou switchoffthe ignition while driving,safety functions arerestricted or no longeravailable. This may affectthe powersteeringsystem andthe brakeforce boosting,forexample.
You willthen needtouse considerably moreforcetosteer and brake.
#Do not switch offthe ignition while driv‐ing.
&DANGERRisk offatal injuries duetoexhaustgases
Combustion engines emit poisonousexhaustgases such as carbon monoxide. Inhalingtheseexhaustgases is hazardoustohealthand can leadtopoisoning.
#Never leavethe enginerunning in anenclosed space without sufficientventi‐lation.
&WARNINGRisk of skidding and of anaccident duetoshifting down on slipperyroad surfaces
Ifyou shift down on slipperyroad surfacestoincreasethe engine braking effect,the drivewheels may lose traction.
#Do not shift down on slipperyroad sur‐facestoincreasethe engine brakingeffect.
&DANGERRisk offatal injury duetopoi‐sonousexhaustgases
Ifthetailpipe is blocked or sufficientventila‐tion is not possible, poisonousexhaustgasessuch as carbon monoxide may enterthevehi‐cle. This isthe case ifthevehiclegetsstuckin snow,forexample.
#Keepthetailpipe andthe area aroundthevehicle free from snow whentheengine orthestationary heater arerun‐ning.
#Open a window onthe windward side ofthevehicletoensure an adequate sup‐ply of fresh air.
&WARNINGRisk of accident and injuryduetobeing underthe influence of alco‐hol and drugs while driving
Driving when underthe influence of alcoholand/or drugs is anextremelydangerouscombination. Even smallquantities of alcoholor drugs may affectyourreflexes, perceptionand judgment.
The probability of a serious orevenfatal acci‐dent greatly increases ifyou drive whenunderthe influence of alcohol or drugs.
#Do not drink alcohol ortakedrugs whiledriving, and do not allow anyonetodrive who has been drinking alcohol ortaking drugs.
