Display
General notes
!Do not use the space in front of the display
for storage. Objects placed here could dam-
age the display or impair its function. Avoid
any direct contact with the display surface.
Pressure on the display surface may result in
impairments to the display, which could be
irreversible.
Wearing polarized sunglasses may impair your
ability to read the display.
The display has an automatic temperature-con-
trolled switch-off feature. The brightness is
automatically reduced if the temperature is too
high. The display may temporarily switch off
completely.

XTo select massage programs: turn and press
the controller.
The massage program runs for approximately
15 to 25 minutes, depending on the setting.
XTo change the massage intensity: turn the
controller to :and press to confirm.
The intensity changes between gentle and
vigorous each time the controller is pressed.
XTo exit the menu: press the%button.
Resetting all adjustments
XCall up the seat functions (Ypage 56).
XSelect a seat (Ypage 56).
XTo select Reset: turn and press the controller.
XTo select a seat: slide 1the controller.
XTo reset: press the controller.
A prompt appears.
XTo select YesorNo: turn and press the con-
troller.
If you select No
the process is canceled.
After selecting Yes
all seat adjustments are
reset to the default values (factory setting).
Climate control settings
Overview
You have the following options for adjusting cli-
mate control settings:
Rusing the climate control bar
Rusing the clim ate control menu
You can set the most impo rtantclimate control
functions such as temperature, airflow and air distribution using the climate control bar. The
climate control bar is visible in most displays.
You can find all the climate control functions in
the climate control menu. You can use the cli-
mate control bar (
Ypage 59) to switch to the
clim ate control menu.
Settings in the climate control bar
Overview
You can set the most important clim ate control
functions directly in theclimate control bar and
change them inthe climate control menu.
:Adjusts temperature, airflow and air distri-
bution, left, as well as displaying the current
setting
;Calls up the climate control menu, displays
the current co oling and climate mode set-
ting
=Adjusts air distribution, airflow and temper-
ature on the right and displays the current
settings

XPress the Øbutton.

This setting is made in the bottom bar of the

cation facilitates the cooling of the vehicle
interior even with high outside temperatures.

Activating/deactivating the synchroni-
zati on function
This setting is made in the bottom bar of the
climate control menu.
With theO
Syn c(synchronization) option, you
can decide whether you wish to activate the cli-
mate control setting s for all zones together or
separately.

With the synchronization function switched off,
you can alternate between driver and front
passenger.

Not all climate control function s allow switch-
ing between the driver and front passenger.

Rea r-compa rtment climate control set-
tings
This setting is made in the bottom bar of the
climate control menu.
You can also set the rear-compartment air con-
ditioning from the front.
XCall up the climate control menu(Ypage 60).
XTo switch to th efooter: slid e6 thecontrol -
ler.
XTo select RearSettin g: turnand press th e
controller.
Setting rear-compartmen t climatecontrol is
switched on. The vehicle interior display
changes accordingly.
XTo switch the setting back to thefront again:
select Return to Front.
Afte rashort time, th e multimedia system
automatically switches the adjustment func-
tions back to the front.

Adjusting the climate mode settings
This setting is made in the main area of the cli-
matecontrol menu.
The setting is only active when the air-condi-
tioning system is set to Ã(see the vehicle
Operator's Manual).
XCall up the climate control menu(Ypage 60).
XTo selectClimateMod e: turn and press th e
controller.
XIf necessary, chang e sides: slidethecontrol -
ler to the left 8or to th e right9.
XTo change thesetting : turnthecontroller.
XTo exit the menu: press th e% button.
The current airflow setting is shown in the cli-
mate control bar: DIFFUSE
,MEDIUMor FOCUS(Ypage 59).
Setting the perfu me atomizer
This setting is made in the main area of the cli-
matecontrol menu.
Further information about the perfume atomizer
(see the vehicle Operator's Manual).
XCall up the climate control menu(Ypage 60).
XTo selectAirFreshener: turnand press th e
controller.
The setting element is active.
XTo start/sto pth e perfume atomizer: press
th econtroller.
XTo set the intensity: turn the controller when
th e atomizer is switched on.
XTo exit the menu: press th e% button.
Switching ionization on/off
This setting is made in the main area of the cli-
matecontrol menu.

Pre-entry climate control via SmartKey
This function is only available for
PLUG‑IN HYBRID vehicles.
When you unlock the vehicle, the driver's seat
and the vehicle interior:
Ris briefly pre-heated
Ris briefly pre-ventilated
XCall up the climate control menu (Ypage 60).
XTo selectPre-entry Climate Control
via Key: turn and press the controller.
XTo switch on or off: turn and press the con-
troller.
XTo exit the menu: press the %button.
Further information on pre-entry climate control
via SmartKey (see the vehicle Operator's Man-
ual).
Pre-entry climate control at time of
departure
This function is only available for
PLUG‑IN HYBRID vehicles.
The driver's seat and the vehicle interior are
heated or cooled prior to the set departure time.
XCall up the climate control menu (Ypage 60).
XTo select Pre-entry Climate Ctrl. at
DepartureTime: turn and press the control-
ler.
A rotary menu appears.
XTo select the setting: turn the controller.
The menu symbol, text and image show the
selected setting.
XTo exit the menu: press the %button.

Child-proof locks
Switching the rear compartment dis-
plays on/off
This function serves to switch the rear-compart-
ment displays on/off.
XPress the Øbutton.

XTo select ParentalControl: turn and press
the controller.
The menu to select the side in the rear com-
partment is activated.
XSelect Rear LeftorRear Right.
XTo switch Displayon/off: turn the controller.

Locking/unlocking rear compart-
ment displays
This function serves to lock/unlock the rear-
compartment displays.
