Important point!Due to the large number of accessory and replacement parts
provided by different manufacturers in the market, it is not
always possible for a certified i-MiEV dealer to check whether
the attachment or installation of non-Mitsubishi Motors genu-
ine parts will affect the driving safety of your Mitsubishi-vehi-
cle.
Modification/alterations to the electrical systems
N01200700019
Mitsubishi Motors manufactures high quality vehicles with an
emphasis on safety. It is important to consult a certified i-
MiEV dealer before installation of any accessory which may
involve modification of the electrical systems.
CAUTION
!Please consult a certified i-MiEV dealer concerning
any such accessory fitment or modification.
If the wires interfere with the vehicle body or
improper installation methods are used (protective
fuses not included, etc.), electronic devices may be
adversely affected, resulting in a fire, vehicle dam-
age, or other accident.

3Turn signal lever
N00522600506
When changing lanes, or to making a gradual turn, hold the
lever in the “lane change” position (1). It will return to the neu-
tral position when you let go. Use the full position (2) when
making a normal turn. The lever will return to the neutral posi-
tion when the turn is complete. There may be times when the
lever does not return to the neutral position. This usually hap-
pens when the steering wheel is turned only slightly. You can
easily return the lever by hand.
Also, when you move the lever to (1) slightly then release it,
the turn signal lights and indicator in the instrument cluster will
flash three times.
NOTEA light in the instrument panel flashes to show when the
front and rear turn signal lights are working properly.
If this light flashes faster than usual, check for a burned
out light bulb or malfunctioning connection.
If the panel light does not come on when the lever is
moved, check for a blown fuse or a burned out bulb in the
panel.
Have the vehicle inspected by a certified i-MiEV dealer.
It is possible to modify functions as follows:
• Deactivate the turn signal light 3-flash function for lane
changes.
• Adjust the time required to operate the lever for the 3-
flash function.
See a certified i-MiEV dealer for details.

Bluetooth
® device
N00565000079
Before you can make or receive hands-free calls or play music
using the Bluetooth
® 2.0 interface function, you must pair the
Bluetooth
® device and Bluetooth
® 2.0 interface.
NOTEPairing is required only when the device is used for the
first time. Once the device has been paired with the
Bluetooth
® 2.0 interface, all you need is to bring the
device into the vehicle next time and the device will con-
nect to the Bluetooth
® 2.0 interface automatically (if sup-
ported by the device).
Up to 7 Bluetooth
® devices can be paired with the Bluetooth
®
2.0 interface.
If multiple paired Bluetooth
® devices are available in the vehi-
cle, the cellular phone or music player most recently connected
is automatically connected to the Bluetooth
® 2.0 interface.
You can also change a Bluetooth
® device to be connected.

Ventilation slotsThe ventilation slots in front of the windshield should be
brushed clear after a heavy snowfall so that the operation of the
heating and ventilation systems will not be impaired.WeatherstrippingTo prevent freezing of the weatherstripping on the doors, hood,
etc., they should be treated with silicone grease.Additional equipment (For regions where snow is
encountered)It is a good idea to carry a shovel or a short-handled spade in
the vehicle during the winter so that you can clear away snow
if you get stranded. A small hand-brush for sweeping snow off
the vehicle and a plastic scraper for the windshield, side and
rear window are also useful.
Fusible links
N00942700321
The fusible links will melt to prevent a fire if a large current
attempts to flow through certain electrical systems.
In case of a melted fusible link, see a certified i-MiEV dealer
for inspection and replacement.
For the fusible links, please refer to “Fuse load capacities” on
page 7-30.

!Fusible links must not be replaced by any other
device. Failing to fit the correct fusible link may
result in fire in the vehicle, property destruction and
serious or fatal injuries at any time.
