If the cruise control is deactivated by any of the conditions described in “To deactivate”on page 5-83, you can return to the previously set speed by pressing the “ACC RES” switch (C) while driving at a speed of approximately25 mph (40 km/h) or greater. WA R N I N G The spare wheel does not have a tire infla- tion pressure sensor. When the spare tire is used, the tire pres- sure monitoring system will not workproperly. See an authorized Mitsubishi Motors dealer as soon as possible to replace orrepair the original tire.
NOTE
 The tire pressure monitoring system is not a substitute for regularly checking tire infla- tion pressures. Be sure to check the tire inflation pressures as described in “Tires” on page 9-14.  The tire inflation pressure sensor (B) is installed in the illustrated location.Replace grommet and washer (C) with a new one when the tire is replaced. For details, please contact your authorizedMitsubishi Motors dealer.

system warning light normally illuminates and goes off a few seconds later. If one or more of the vehicle tires (except for the spare tire) is significantly under-inflated, the warning light will remain illuminatedwhile the ignition switch is in the “ON” posi- tion. Refer to “If the warning light/display illumi-nates while driving” on page 5-86 and take the necessary measures.
Each tire, including the spare (if provided), should be checked monthly when cold andinflated to the inflation pressure recom- mended by the vehicle manufacturer on the vehicle placard or tire inflation pressure label.(If your vehicle has tires of a different size than the size indicated on the vehicle placard or tire inflation pressure label, you shoulddetermine the proper tire inflation pressure for those tires.) As an added safety feature, your vehicle hasbeen equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) that illuminates a low tire pressure telltale when one or more of yourtires is significantly under-inflated.
NOTE
 In addition, the warning display is displayed on the information screen in the multi-infor- mation display. Type 1 Type 2
CAUTION If the tire pressure monitoring system warn- ing light does not illuminate when the igni- tion switch is turned to the “ON” position, it means that the tire pressure monitoring sys- tem is not working properly. Have the sys-tem inspected by an authorized Mitsubishi Motors dealer. In such situations,
a malfunctioning of the
system may be preventing the monitoring of the tire pressure. Avoid sudden braking, sharp turning and high-speed driving. If a malfunction is detected in the tire pres- sure monitoring system, the tire pressuremonitoring system warning light will blink for approximately 1 minute and then remain continuously illuminated. The warning lightwill issue further warnings each time the engine is restarted as long as the malfunction exists.Check to see whether the warning light goes off after few minutes driving. If it then goes off duri
ng driving, there is no
problem. However, if the warning light does not go off, or if it blinks again when the engine isrestarted, have the vehicle inspected by an authorized Mitsubishi Motors dealer. In such situations,
a malfunctioning of the
system may be preventing the monitoring of the tire pressure. For safety reasons, whenthe warning light appears while driving, avoid sudden braking, sharp turning and high-speed driving.

When the gearshift lever or the selector lever is in the “R” (REVERSE) position with theignition switch in the “ON” position, the rear- view image will be displayed on the DIS- PLAY AUDIO in the center panel.When the gearshift lever or the selector lever is shifted out of the “R” (REVERSE) posi- tion, the rear-view image will go off.
The rear-view camera (A) is built-in to the trunk lid.
Reference lines and upper surface of the rear bumper (A) are displayed on the screen.  Red line (B) indicates approximately 20 inches (50 cm) behind the rear bumper.  Two Green lines (C) indicate approxi- mately 8 inches (20 cm) outside of the vehicle body.  Short transverse lines (1 to 3) indicate dis- tance from the rear bumper.
CAUTION Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the manufacturer for compli- ance could void the user’s authority to oper- ate the equipment.

WA R N I N G Never rely solely on the rear-view camera to clear the area behind your vehicle. Always check visually behind and all around your vehicle for persons, animals, obstructions or other vehicles. Failure todo so can result in vehicle damage, serious injury or death. The rear-view camera is an aid system for backing up, but it is not a substitute for your visual confirmation.
 The view on the screen is limited, and objects outside the view, such as under the bumper or around either corner of the bumper end, cannot be seen on the screen.

CAUTION If the camera lens gets dirty, a clear image cannot be obtained. As necessary, rinse thelens with clean water and gently wipe with a clean, soft cloth. To avoid damaging the camera;• Do not rub the cover excessively or polish it by using an abrasive compound. • Do not disassemble the camera.WA R N I N GA
• Do not splash hot water directly on the lens. • Do not spray the camera and its surround- ings with high-pressure water.• Make sure that the trunk lid is securelyclosed when backing up.

NOTE
 You can adjust to 8 different levels respec- tively for when the tail lights are illuminated and when they are not.  If the vehicle is equipped with the automatic light control, when the light switch is in a position other than the “OFF” position, themeter illumination switches automatically to the adjusted brightness, depending on the brightness outside the vehicle.
 The brightness level of the instruments is stored in memory when the ignition switch is turned off.  If you press and hold the button for longer than about 1 second when the parking lights are illuminated, the brightness level changes to the maximum level. Pressing and holdingthe button for longer than about 1 second again returns the brightness level to the pre- vious level.NOTE
