1 -Lock 2 -Unlock
If th e lever is set to th e locked position, the rear doors cannot be opened from inside the vehicle. However, the rear doors can still be opened from outside the vehicle unless they are locked by the lock buttons.

& CAUTION If adults are to sit in the rear seat,
release the child-protection lock in order to provide emergency exit from the vehicle in the event of an accident. This is especially important if the vehicle is equipped with the optionally available electric window control because it may not be possible to operate the window in an emergency.

& VAROITUS Alkaa jattako istuimien lammitysta paalle tarpeettomasti. silla akku saattaa tyhjeta. Kayttakaa lammittimia suurimmalla teholla lammittaaksenne istuimen nopeasti. Istuimen lammittya saatakaa lammittimen teho pienimmilleen ja istuin pysyy lampimana. Istuimen lampotilassa saattaa tuntua pienia vaihteluita lammittimen ollessa kaytossa. Tama johtuu istuimen sisaisesta termostaatista, eika sui nkaan ole merkki toimintahairiosta. lammittimen kayttoa ei suositella mikali istuimella istuu lapsi. vanhus tai sairas henkilo. -._-------
Istuimelle ei tule laskea painavia esineita, eika myoskaan teravia
esineita kuten esim. nastoja tai nuppineuloja. Lammittimen ollessa kaytossa istuinta ei saa peittaa tyynyilla , huovilla tai muilla lampoa eristavilla materiaaleilla , silla talloin on olemassa lammittimen ylikuumenemisen vaara.
Istuinta puhdistettaessa
ei tule kayttaa bentseenia , bensiinia , alkoholia tai muita orgaanisia liuottimia, silla ne saattavat vahingoittaa ei ainoastaan istuimen paallysta, vaan myos itse
lammitinta. Mikali vetta tai jotain muuta nestetta laikkyy istuimelle, antakaa sen kuivua kunnolla, ennen kuin kaytatte lammitinta .
& CAUTION Switch off seat heaters when not in use: leaving the heater on could run down the battery. Operate the heaters at high for quick heating. After the seat has become warm, set the heater to low to keep it warm. Slight variations in the seat temperature may be felt while using the heated seats. This is caused by the operation of the heater's internal thermostat ·and does not indicate a malfunction.
If the following types of persons use the heated seats, they might become too hot or receive minor burns (red skin, heat bl isters, etc.) :
(1) Children , elderly persons , ill persons (2) Person with sensitive skin (3) Excessively fatigued persons (4) Persons under the influence of alcohol or sleep inducing medication (cold medicine , etc.)
Do
not place heavy objects on the seat or stick pins, needles , or
other pointed objects into it. Do not use a blanket. cushion, or other material with high heat
insulation properties on the seat while using the heater ; doing
so could cause the heater to overheat. When cleaning the seat. do not use benzine, gasoline, alcohol,
or other organic solvents; doing so could damage not only the
surface of the seat. but also the heater.

Adjustable seat belt anchor
(front seats)* EG08C·A
The seat belt anchor height can be adjusted to one of five positions.
1 - Pull the
lock knob.
2-Slide the seat belt anchor up or down to the position that best fits your body and release the knob.
Make sure that a click is heard and that the seat belt anchor is locked firmly.
& CAUTION When adjusting the seat belt anchor. set it at a position that is sufficiently high so that the belt will make full contact with your shoulder but will not touch your neck.
Child restraint EG28B·B
W.hen transporting children in your vehicle, some type of child restraint system should always be used according to the size of the child. This is required by law in most countries.
This is reguired by law in most countries.
The regulations concerning driving with children in the front seat may differ from country to country. It is recommended that you obey the pertinent regulations.

WARNING (1) Accident statistics indicates that children are safer when properly restrained in the rear seat rather than in the front seat. Accordingly, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation recommends the child be restrained in the rear seat.
(2) Holding a child in your arms is no substitute for a restraint system. Failure to use a proper restraint system can result in severe or fatal injury to your child.

Infants and small children
For infants small enough for infants
seats, an infant carrier should be used.
For small children whose height when seated allows the shoulder belt to lie in contact with the face or the throat. a
child seat should be used . No more than
one restraint device or fixing to be used
by more than one child.

for your child's weight and
height and properly fit the vehicle . For a

RESTRAINT SYSTEM SHOULD BE INSTALLED IN THE REAR SEAT.
When installing a child restraint system,
refer
to the instructions provided by the
manufacturer of the restraint system.
Failure to
do so can result in severe or
fatal injury to your child. When not in
use , keep your child or infant seat se
cured with the seat belt or remove it from the vehicle in order to prevent injury to

NOTE Before purchasing a child seat or infant carrier, try installing it in
the rear seat to assure a good fit Due to the location of the seat
belt buckles in the seat cushion, it may be difficult to securely
install some child restraint systems.
If the child restraint system can be pulled forward easily on the seat cusion after the belt has been tightened, choose another child restraint system.
Older children Children who have outgrown child restraint system should be
seated in the rear seat and wear combination lap shoulder belt The lap belt should be snug and positioned low on the abdomen so that it is below the top of the hip-bone . Otherwise,
the belt could intrude into the child's abdomen during an
accident and cause personal injury.
& CAUTION (1) Children who aren't buckled up can be thrown out of the vehicle in an accident,
(2) Children who aren't buckled up can strike other people who are.

Mitsubishi Motors Corporation recommends that pregnant women use the available seat belts. This will reduce the likelihood of injury to both the woman and
the unborn child. The lap belt should be worn as low as
possible throughout the pregnancy.

(2) A dirty belt should b e c leaned with n eutral d ete rgent in warm wate r. Afte r rin sing in wate r, le t it dry in the s had e. Do not atte m pt to bl eac h or re -d ye the belts because thi s affects their ch arac teris ti cs .
& CAUTION All seat belt assemblies including retractors and attaching hardware should be inspected by an authorized MITSUBISHI dealer after any collision. We recommend that seat belt. assemblies in use during a collision be replaced unless the collision was minor and the belts show no damaQe and continue to operate properly.
