appear. Be careful when moving to the
right. Using only this mirror could cause

ignition switch is in the ACC or ON position.

. Objects in the RearView Monitor
will appear visually opposite com-
pared to when viewed in the rear-
view and outside mirrors.
. Use the displayed lines as a refer-
ence. The lines are highly affected
by the number of occupants, fuel
level, vehicle position, road condi-
tions and road grade.
. Make sure that the trunk lid is
securely closed when backing up.
. Do not put anything on the rearview
camera. The rearview camera is
installed above the license plate.
. When washing the vehicle with
high-pressure water, be sure not to
spray it around the camera. Other-
wise, water may enter the camera
unit causing water condensation on
the lens, a malfunction, fire or an
electric shock.
. Do not strike the camera. It is a
precision instrument. Otherwise, it
may malfunction or cause damage
resulting in a fire or an electric
shock. The following are operating limitations and do
not represent a system malfunction:
.
When the temperature is extremely high or
low, the screen may not clearly display
objects.
. When strong light is directly coming on the
camera, objects may not be displayed
clearly.
. Vertical lines may be seen in objects on the
screen. This is due to strong reflected light
from the bumper.
. The screen may flicker under fluorescent
light.
. The colors of objects on the RearView
Monitor may differ somewhat from the actual
color of objects.
. Objects on the monitor may not be clear in a
dark environment.
. There may be a delay when switching to the
RearView Monitor screen.
. If dirt, rain or snow accumulates on the
camera, the RearView Monitor may not
display objects clearly. Clean the camera.
. Do not use wax on the camera window.
Wipe off any wax with a clean cloth
dampened with mild detergent diluted with water.

Cooling and/or dehumidified heating
(AUTO):

system automatically works to keep a constant
temperature. Air flow distribution and fan speed
are also controlled automatically.
1. Push the AUTO button on. (The indicator light on the button will illuminate.)
2. Turn the temperature control dial on the driver's side to the left or right to set the
desired temperature.
.The temperature of the passenger com-
partment will be maintained automati-
cally. Air flow distribution and fan speed
are also controlled automatically.
.A visible mist may be seen coming from
the vents in hot, humid conditions as the
air is cooled rapidly. This does not
indicate a malfunction.
3. You can individually set driver's and front passenger's side temperature using each
temperature control dial. When the DUAL
zone control button is pushed or the
passenger's side temperature control dial
is turned, the indicator light on the DUAL

zone control button will come on. To turn off
the passenger's side temperature control,
push the DUAL zone control button.
Heating (A/C OFF):

mode. Only use this mode when you need to
heat the vehicle.
1. Push the AUTO button on. (The indicator light on the button will illuminate.)
2. If the indicator light on the A/C button is turned on, push the A/C button. (The
indicator light will turn off.)
3. Turn the temperature control dial on the driver's side to set the desired temperature.
.The temperature of the passenger com-
partment will be maintained automati-
cally. Air flow distribution and fan speed
are also controlled automatically.
.Do not set the temperature lower than
the outside air temperature or the system
may not work properly.
.Not recommended if windows fog up.
4. You can individually set driver's and front passenger's side temperature using each
temperature control dial. When the DUAL
zone control button is pushed or passen-
ger's side temperature control dial is turned,
the DUAL indicator light will come on. To turn off the passenger's side temperature
control, push the DUAL zone control button.
Dehumidified defrosting or defogging:

indicator light on the button will come on.)
2. Turn the temperature control dial on the driver's side to set the desired temperature.
.To quickly remove ice from the outside of
the windows, use the
fan speed
control button to set the fan speed to
maximum.
.As soon as possible after the windshield
is clean, push the AUTO button to return
to the automatic mode.
When the
front defroster button is pushed,
the air conditioner will automatically be turned
on at outside temperatures above 368F (28C) to
defrost the windshield, and the air recirculation
mode will automatically be turned off. Outside
air is drawn into the passenger compartment to
improve the defrosting performance.

. To switch to automatic control mode, push
and hold the
air recirculation button or

outside air circulation button
(whichever indicator light is illuminated) for
about 2 seconds. The indicator lights (both
air recirculation and outside air circulation
buttons) will flash twice, and then the air
intake will be controlled automatically.

charged with a refrigerant designed with the
environment in mind.This refrigerant will not
harm the earth's ozone layer. However,
special charging equipment and lubricant are
required when servicing your NISSAN air con-
ditioner. Using improper refrigerants or lubri-
cants will cause severe damage to your air
conditioning system. (

Your NISSAN dealer or GT-R certified NISSAN
dealer will be able to service your environmen-
tally friendly air conditioning system.
WARNING
The system contains refrigerant under
high pressure. To avoid personal injury,
any air conditioner service should be
done only by an experienced technician
with the proper equipment.

WARNING
.The exhaust gas and the exhaust
system are very hot. Keep people,
animals or flammable materials
away from the exhaust system com-
ponents.
. Do not stop or park the vehicle over
flammable materials such as dry
grass, waste paper or rags. They
may ignite and cause a fire.
NOTICE
.Do not use leaded gasoline. Depos-
its from leaded gasoline seriously
reduce the three-way catalyst's abil-
ity to help reduce exhaust pollu-
tants.
. Keep your engine tuned up. Mal-
functions in the ignition, fuel injec-
tion, or electrical systems can cause
overrich fuel flow into the three-way
catalyst, causing it to overheat. Do
not keep driving if the engine mis-
fires, or if noticeable loss of perfor-
mance or other unusual operating conditions are detected. It is recom-
mended you have the vehicle in-
spected promptly by a GT-R certified
NISSAN dealer.
. Avoid driving with an extremely low
fuel level. Running out of fuel could
cause the engine to misfire, dama-
ging the three-way catalyst.
. Do not race the engine while warm-
ing it up.
. Do not push or tow your vehicle to
start the engine.TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING
SYSTEM (TPMS)
GUID-90024E82-FB34-427B-AB7F-4FE62719A8F1Each tire should be checked monthly when cold
and inflated to the inflation pressure recom-
mended by the vehicle manufacturer on the
vehicle placard or tire inflation pressure label. (If
your vehicle has tires of a different size than the
size indicated on the vehicle placard or tire
inflation pressure label, you should determine
the proper tire inflation pressure for those tires.)
As an added safety feature, your vehicle has
been equipped with a Tire Pressure Monitoring
System (TPMS) that illuminates a low tire
pressure telltale when one or more of your tires is significantly under-inflated. Accordingly, when
the low tire pressure telltale illuminates, you
should stop and check your tires as soon as
possible, and inflate them to the proper pres-
sure. Driving on a significantly under-inflated tire
causes the tire to overheat and can lead to tire
failure. Under-inflation also reduces fuel effi-
ciency and tire tread life, and may affect the
vehicle's handling and stopping ability.
If the vehicle is being driven with one or more flat
tires, the low tire pressure warning light will
illuminate continuously and a chime will sound
for 10 seconds. The chime will only sound at the
first indication of a flat tire, and the warning light
will illuminate continuously. When the flat tire
warning is activated, it is recommended you
have the system reset and the tire checked and
replaced if necessary by a GT-R certified
NISSAN dealer. Even if the tire is inflated to
the specified COLD tire pressure, the warning
light will continue to illuminate until the system is
reset by a GT-R certified NISSAN dealer. Your
vehicle can be driven for a limited time on a flat
tire. (

Please note that the TPMS is not a substitute for
proper tire maintenance, and it is the driver's
responsibility to maintain correct tire pressure,
even if under-inflation has not reached the level
to trigger illumination of the TPMS low tire

pressure telltale.
Your vehicle has also been equipped with a
TPMS malfunction indicator to indicate when the
system is not operating properly. The TPMS
malfunction indicator is combined with the low
tire pressure telltale. When the system detects a
malfunction, the telltale will flash for approxi-
mately one minute and then remain continuously
illuminated. This sequence will continue upon
subsequent vehicle start-ups as long as the
malfunction exists. When the malfunction indi-
cator is illuminated, the system may not be able
to detect or signal low tire pressure as intended.
TPMS malfunctions may occur for a variety of
reasons, including the installation of replace-
ment or alternate tires or wheels on the vehicle
that prevent the TPMS from functioning properly.
Always check the TPMS malfunction telltale
after replacing one or more tires or wheels on
your vehicle to ensure that the replacement or
alternate tires and wheels allow the TPMS to
continue to function properly.Additional informationGUID-853D6301-F8DB-4961-A1F9-51FC1CE15E41.The TPMS will activate only when the
vehicle is driven at speeds above 16 MPH
(25 km/h) . Also, this system may not detect
a sudden drop in tire pressure (for example a
flat tire while driving) .
. The low tire pressure warning light does not
automatically turn off when the tire pressure
is adjusted. After the tire is inflated to the
recommended pressure, the vehicle must be
driven at speeds above 16 MPH (25 km/h)
to activate the TPMS and turn off the low tire
pressure warning light. Use a tire pressure
gauge to check the tire pressure.
. The ªTIRE LOW PRESSURE - VISIT DEAL-
ERº warning appears in the vehicle informa-
tion display when the low tire pressure
warning light is illuminated and low tire
pressure is detected. The ªTIRE LOW
PRESSURE - VISIT DEALERº warning turns
off when the low tire pressure warning light
turns off.
The ªTIRE LOW PRESSURE - VISIT DEAL-
ERº warning appears each time the ignition
switch is placed in the ªONº position as long
as the low tire pressure warning light
remains illuminated.
The ªTIRE LOW PRESSURE - VISIT DEAL- ERº warning does not appear if the low tire
pressure warning light illuminates to indicate
a TPMS malfunction.
. The ªFLAT TIRE - VISIT DEALERº warning
appears in the vehicle information display
when the low tire pressure warning light is
illuminated and one or more flat tires are
detected.
. Tire pressure rises and falls depending on
the heat caused by the vehicle's operation
and the outside temperature. Do not reduce
the tire pressure after driving because the
tire pressure rises after driving. Low outside
temperature can lower the temperature of
the air inside the tire which can cause a
lower tire inflation pressure. Altitude can
also affect tire pressure. These may cause
the low tire pressure warning light to
illuminate. If the warning light illuminates,
check the tire pressure for all four tires.
. GT-R vehicles are delivered from the factory
with nitrogen-filled tires. For best perfor-
mance, NISSAN recommends that GT-R
owners maintain their vehicles by using
nitrogen for tire inflation. Because nitrogen
is more stable than compressed air, it is less
prone to pressure fluctuation resulting from
temperature variations. If nitrogen is not
available, compressed air may be safely

used under normal driving conditions. How-
ever, NISSAN recommends refilling with
Nitrogen for maximum tire performance.
. The Tire and Loading Information label (also
referred to as the vehicle placard or tire
inflation pressure label) is located in the
driver's door opening.
. You can also check the pressure of all tires
on the touch screen display. Refer to the
separate Multi Function Display Owner's
Manual.
. The tire pressure sensor should be reset
anytime the wheels or tires are removed or
replaced.
. If the tire is removed in order to replace the
tire pressure sensor battery, it may not be
possible to reuse the removed tire from the
wheel. To replace the tire pressure sensor
battery, it is recommended you contact a
GT-R certified NISSAN dealer.
WARNING
.If the low tire pressure warning light
illuminates while driving, avoid sud-
den steering maneuvers or abrupt
braking, reduce vehicle speed, pull
off the road to a safe location and stop the vehicle as soon as possi-
ble. Driving with under-inflated tires
may permanently damage the tires
and increase the likelihood of tire
failure. Serious vehicle damage
could occur and may lead to an
accident and could result in serious
personal injury. Check the tire pres-
sure for all four tires. Adjust the tire
pressure to the recommended COLD
tire pressure shown on the Tire and
Loading Information label to turn
the low tire pressure warning light
off. If the light still illuminates while
driving after adjusting the tire pres-
sure, a tire may be flat (
ªRun-
flat tiresº page 6-4) or the TPMS
may be malfunctioning. If no tire is
flat and all tires are properly in-
flated, have the vehicle checked by a
GT-R certified NISSAN dealer.
. Although you can continue driving
with a punctured run-flat tire, re-
member that vehicle handling sta-
bility is reduced, which could lead to
an accident and personal injury.
Also, driving a long distance at high
speeds may damage the tires. .
Do not drive at speeds above 50
MPH (80 km/h) and do not drive
more than 50 miles (80 km) with a
punctured run-flat tire. The actual
distance the vehicle can be driven
on a flat tire depends on outside
temperature, vehicle load, road con-
ditions and other factors.
. When a wheel is replaced, the TPMS
will not function and the low tire
pressure warning light will flash for
approximately 1 minute. The light
will remain on after 1 minute. It is
recommended you contact your
GT-R certified NISSAN dealer as
soon as possible for tire replace-
ment and/or system resetting.
. Replacing tires with those not ori-
ginally specified by NISSAN could
affect the proper operation of the
TPMS.
. Do not inject any tire liquid or
aerosol tire sealant into the tires,
as this may cause a malfunction of
the tire pressure sensors.
