NOTE:
If the windshield wiper operation is in-
terrupted by snow or ice, the wiper may
stop moving to protect its motor. If this
occurs, turn the wiper switch to the OFF
position and remove the snow or ice that
is on and around the wiper arms. Af ter
approximately 1 minute, turn the switch
on again to operate the wiper.
The windshield wiper and washer operates
when the ignition switch is in the ON
position.
Push the lever down to operate the wiper
at the following speed:
1Intermittent (INT) — intermittent opera-
tion can be adjusted by turning the
knob toward
OA(faster) orOB(slower).
Also, the intermittent operation speed
varies in accordance with the vehicle
speed (if so equipped). (For example,
when the vehicle speed is high, the in-
termittent operation speed will be
faster.)
2Low (LO) — continuous low speed
operation
3High (HI) — continuous high speed
operation Push the lever up
O4to have one sweep
operation (MIST) of the wiper.
Pull the lever toward you
O5to operate the
washer. The wiper will also operate several
times.
NOTE:
The Wiper with Speed feature and wiper
guidance may be disabled. For addi-
tional information, see “Vehicle informa-
tion display–7 inch (18 cm) Type A”
(P. 2-23) or “Vehicle information display—
12.3 inch (31 cm) Type B” (P. 2-48).
WARNING
Do not operate the windshield wiper
while the wiper arm is pulled up. The
wiper arm may be damaged.RAIN-SENSING AUTO WIPER
SYSTEM (if so equipped)
CAUTION
• Do not touch the rain sensor and
around it when the wiper switch is in
the AUTO position and the ignition
switch is in the ON position. The wip-
ers may operate unexpectedly and
cause an injury or may damage a
wiper.
