GLOVE BOX
The “Instruments and controls” section of the
Model Year 2014 Rogue Owner’s Manual de-
scribes the feature of locking and unlocking the
glove box. The description of this operation is an
error. This operation is not an available feature of
the Model Year 2014 Rogue. The Owner’s
Manual references to the operation of locking
and unlocking the glove box should be disre-
garded wherever they appear. NISSAN apolo-
gizes for any confusion this inadvertent printing
error may have caused.
OPENING WINDOWS
The “Pre-driving checks and adjustments” sec-
tion of the Model Year 2014 Rogue Owner’s
Manual describes the feature of opening the front
power windows by pressing and holding the UN-
LOCK button on the intelligent key fob. The de-
scription of this operation is an error. This opera-
tion is not an available feature of the Model Year
2014 Rogue. The Owner’s Manual references to
the operation of opening the front power win-
dows by pressing the holding the UNLOCK but-
ton on the intelligent key fob should be disre-
garded wherever they appear. NISSAN
apologizes for any confusion this inadvertent
printing error may have caused.
HOW TO SWITCH THE DISPLAY
With the ignition switch in the ON position, press
the CAMERA button or move the shift lever to the
R (Reverse) position to operate the Around View
Monitor.
The Around View Monitor displays different split
screen views depending on the position of the
shift lever. Press the CAMERA button to switch
between the available views.
If the shift lever is in the R (Reverse) position, the
available views are:
●Rear view/bird’s-eye view split screen
●Rear view/front-side view split screen
If the shift lever is in the P (Park) position, the
available views are:
●Front view/bird’s-eye view split screen
●Front view/front-side view split screen
The display will switch from the Around View
Monitor screen when:
●The shift lever is in the D (Drive) position and
the vehicle speed increases above approxi-
mately 6 mph (10 km/h)
●A different screen is selected.If any malfunction occurs in the AWD system
while the engine is running, the master warning
light will come on.
The master warning light may illuminate while
trying to free a stuck vehicle due to high pow-
ertrain oil temperature. The driving mode may
change to 2WD. AUTO mode may change to
LOCK mode before the warning light illuminates.
If the master warning light illuminates during op-
eration, stop the vehicle with the engine idling in a
safe place immediately.
Then if the light turns off after a while, you can
continue driving.
A large difference between the diameters of the
front and rear wheels will make the warning light
illuminate. Pull off the road in a safe area and idle
the engine. Check that all tire sizes are the same,
tire pressure is correct, and the tires are not worn.
CAUTION
●If the warning light remains on after the
above operation, have your vehicle
checked by a NISSAN dealer as soon as
possible.

●Do not place heavy loads heavier than
2.2 lb (1 kg) on the seatback, head
restraint/headrest or in the seatback
pocket.
● Do not store luggage behind the seat
that can press into the seatback.
● Do not position the front passenger
seat so it contacts the 2nd row. If the
front seat does contact the 2nd row, the
air bag system may determine a sensor
malfunction has occurred and the front
passenger air bag status light may illu-
minate and the supplemental air bag
warning light may flash.
● If a forward-facing child restraint is in-
stalled in the front passenger seat, do
not position the front passenger seat so
the child restraint contacts the instru-
ment panel. If the child restraint does
contact the instrument panel, the sys-
tem may determine the seat is occupied
and the passenger air bag may deploy
in a collision. Also the front passenger
air bag status light may not illuminate.
See “Child restraints” in this section for
information about installing and using
child restraints. ●
Confirm the operating condition with
the front passenger air bag status light.
● If you notice that the front passenger air
bag status light is not operating as de-
scribed in this section, please take your
vehicle to your NISSAN dealer to check
the occupant classification system.
● Until you have confirmed with your
dealer that your passenger seat occu-
pant classification system is working
properly, position the occupants in the
rear seating positions.
This vehicle is equipped with the NISSAN Ad-
vanced Air Bag System for the driver and front
passenger seats. This system is designed to
meet certification requirements under U.S. regu-
lations. It is also permitted in Canada. All of the
information, cautions and warnings in this
manual must be followed.
The driver supplemental front-impact air bag is
located in the center of the steering wheel. The
passenger supplemental front-impact air bag is
mounted in the dashboard above the glove box.
The front air bags are designed to inflate in higher
severity frontal collisions, although they may in-
flate if the forces in another type of collision are
similar to those of a higher severity frontal impact.
They may not inflate in certain frontal collisions. Vehicle damage (or lack of it) is not always an
indication of proper front air bag system opera-
tion.
The NISSAN Advanced Air Bag System has dual
stage inflators. It also monitors information from
the crash zone sensor and the Air bag Control
Unit (ACU) . Inflator operation is based on the
severity of a collision and seat belt usage for the
driver. For the front passenger, the occupant
classification sensor is also monitored. Based on
information from the sensor, only one front air bag
may inflate in a crash, depending on the crash
severity. Additionally, the front passenger air bag
may be automatically turned OFF under some
conditions, depending on the weight detected on
the passenger seat and how the seat belt is used.
If the front passenger air bag is OFF, the passen-
ger air bag status light will be illuminated (if the
seat is unoccupied, the light will not be illumi-
nated, but the air bag will be off) . For additional
information, refer to “Front passenger air bag and
status light” in this section for further details. One
front air bag inflating does not indicate improper
performance of the system.

GLOVE BOX
Open the glove box by pulling the handle. Use the
master key when locking
1or unlocking2the
glove box.
WARNING
Keep glove box lid closed while driving to
help prevent injury in an accident or a
sudden stop.
CONSOLE BOX
Upper half
Pull up on the driver’s side latch to open the
upper half of the console box.
The upper half of the console box may be used for
storage of cellular phones. An access hole is
provided at the front of the upper half of the
console box for a phone or iPod® cord routing to
the power outlet.
Lower half
Pull up on the passenger’s side latch to open the
lower half of the console box. A power outlet is
located inside the console box and there is stor-
age for compact discs.

●Doors do not lock by pushing the door
handle request switch while any door is
open. However, doors lock with the me-
chanical key even if any door is open.
● Doors do not lock with the door handle
request switch with the Intelligent Key inside
the vehicle and a beep sounds to warn you.
However, when an Intelligent Key is inside
the vehicle, doors can be locked with an-
other Intelligent Key.
CAUTION
● After locking the doors using the re-
quest switch, make sure that the doors
have been securely locked by operating
the door handles or the rear liftgate
opener switch.
● When locking the doors using the re-
quest switch, make sure to have the
Intelligent Key in your possession be-
fore operating the request switch to
prevent the Intelligent Key from being
left in the vehicle.
● The request switch is operational only
when the Intelligent Key has been de-
tected by the Intelligent Key system. Lockout protection
To prevent the Intelligent Key from being acci-
dentally locked in the vehicle, lockout protection
is equipped with the Intelligent Key system.
When the driver’s side door is open, the doors
are locked, and then the Intelligent Key is put
inside the vehicle and all the doors are closed;
the lock will automatically unlock and the door
buzzer sounds.
NOTE:
The doors may not lock when the Intelli-
gent Key is in the same hand that is oper-
ating the request switch to lock the door.
Put the Intelligent Key in a purse, pocket or
your other hand.
CAUTION
The lockout protection may not function
under the following conditions:
●
When the Intelligent Key is placed on
top of the instrument panel.
● When the Intelligent Key is placed in-
side the glove box or a storage bin.
● When the Intelligent Key is placed in-
side the door pockets.
● When the Intelligent Key is placed in-
side or near metallic materials.

OPERATING RANGE
The Intelligent Key functions can only be used
when the Intelligent Key is within the specified
operating range.
When the Intelligent Key battery is almost dis-
charged or strong radio waves are present near
the operating location, the Intelligent Key sys-
tem’s operating range becomes narrower and
may not function properly.
If the Intelligent Key is within the operating range,
it is possible for anyone, even someone who does
not carry the Intelligent Key, to push the ignition
switch to start the engine.The operating range of the engine start function
is inside of the vehicle
1.
● The luggage area is not included in the op-
erating range, but the Intelligent Key may
function.
● If the Intelligent Key is placed on the instru-
ment panel, inside the glove box, storage bin
or door pocket, the Intelligent Key may not
function.
● If the Intelligent Key is placed near the door
or window outside the vehicle, the Intelligent
Key may function.
PUSH-BUTTON IGNITION SWITCH
POSITIONS
LOCK (Normal parking position):
The ignition switch can only be locked in this
position.
The ignition switch will lock when any door is
opened or closed with the ignition switched off.
ON (Normal operating position):
This position turns on the ignition system and
electrical accessories. ON has a battery saver feature that will turn the
ignition switch to the OFF position, if the vehicle
is not running, after some time under the follow-
ing conditions:
● all doors are closed.
● shift lever is in P (Park) .
The battery saver feature will be cancelled if any
of the following occur: ● any door is opened.
● shift lever is moved out of the P (Park) posi-
tion.
● ignition switch changes position.
CAUTION
Do not leave the vehicle with the ignition
switch in the ON position when the engine
is not running for an extended period. This
can discharge the battery.
OFF:
The ignition switch is in the OFF position when
the engine is turned off using the ignition switch.
No lights will illuminate on the ignition switch.
