If you continue to drive the vehicle while
the warning is displayed, the hybrid
system may become temporarily inop-
erative and the system cannot provide
power to the wheels. This can result in
reduced or zero vehicle speed. The re-

lower than other traffic, which could in-
crease the chance of a collision. If the

Only attach the hook and loop fastener on
the cargo cover privacy cloth to the area on
the rear seatback where it is supposed to
be attached. Otherwise, the seat surface
could be damaged.
To remove the cargo cover:
1Remove the straps from the rear
hatch.
2Remove the edge of the cargo cover
privacy cloth from the rear seatback.
3Remove the cargo cover holders from
the rear pillar.
ROOF RACK (if so equipped)
Do not apply any load directly to the roof side
rails. Cross bars must be installed before ap-
plying load/cargo/luggage to the roof of the
vehicle. Genuine NISSAN accessory cross
bars are available through a NISSAN dealer. It
is recommended that you visit a NISSAN
dealer for additional information.
The service load capacity for the roof side
rails is 74 kg (165 lbs.), however, do not exceed
the accessory cross bars load capacity.
Be careful that your vehicle does not exceed
the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or its
Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR front and rear). For additional information regarding
GVWR and GAWR, refer to âVehicle loading
informationâ in the âTechnical and consumer
informationâ section of this manual.
WARNING
â Always install the cross bars onto the
roof side rails before loading cargo of
any kind. Loading cargo directly onto
the roof side rails or the vehicleâs roof
may cause vehicle damage.
â Drive extra carefully when the vehicle is loaded at or near the cargo carrying
capacity, especially if the significant
portion of that load is carried on the
cross bars.
â Heavy loading of the cross bars has the potential to affect the vehicle sta-
bility and handling during sudden or
unusual handling maneuvers.
â Roof rack cross bars should be evenly distributed.
â Do not exceed maximum roof rack cross bars load capacity.
â Properly secure all cargo with ropes or straps to help prevent it from sliding
or shif ting. In a sudden stop or colli-
sion, unsecured cargo could cause
personal injury.

1. Intelligent Keys (two sets)
2. Mechanical key
3. Key number plate (one plate)NISSAN INTELLIGENT KEYÂŽ
Your vehicle can only be driven with the
Intelligent Keys which are registered to
your vehicleâs Intelligent Key System com-
ponents and NISSAN Vehicle Immobilizer
System components.Never leave the keys in the vehicle.
As many as four Intelligent Keys can be
registered and used with one vehicle. The
new keys must be registered prior to use
with the Intelligent Key System and NISSAN
Vehicle Immobilizer System of your vehicle.
It is recommended that you visit a NISSAN
dealer for this service. Since the registra-
tion process requires erasing all memory in
the Intelligent Key components when reg-
istering new keys, be sure to take all Intelli-
gent Keys that you have to the NISSAN
dealer.
A key number plate is supplied with your
keys. Record the key number and keep it in
a safe place (such as your wallet), not in the
vehicle. If you lose your keys, it is recom-
mended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for
duplicates by using the key number.
NISSAN does not record key numbers so it
is very important to keep track of your key
number plate.
A key number is only necessary when you
have lost all keys and do not have one to
duplicate from. If you still have a key, it can
be duplicated without knowing the key
number.
