1. Press the SEND switch.
2. Check the indicator is blinking.

OK >> INSPECTION END
NG >> Check steering wheel audio control switch circuit.
3. CHECK BLUETOOTH INDICATOR OUTPUT VOLTAGE
1. Disconnect Bluetooth microphone connector.
2. Check voltage between Bluetooth microphone connector R15
terminal 4 and ground.
OK or NO
OK >> Replace Bluetooth indicator. Refer to AV- 6 5 , "BLUE-
TOOTH MICROPHONE" .
NG >> GO TO 4.

4. CHECK BLUETOOTH INDICATOR CIRCUIT
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect Bluetooth control unit connector B121 and Bluetooth microphone connector R15.
3. Check continuity between Bluetooth control unit connector B121
(A) terminal 15 and Bluetooth microphone connector R15 (B)
terminal 4.
OK or NO
OK >> Replace Bluetooth control unit. Refer to AV-63, "BLUE-
TOOTH CONTROL UNIT" .
NG >> Repair or replace harness.
Steering Wheel Audio Control Switch Does Not OperateEKS00IB9
1. CHECK STEERING WHEEL AUDIO CONTROL SWITCH RESISTANCE
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect steering wheel audio control switch connector.
3. Check steering wheel audio control switch. Refer to AV- 3 0 , "
Steering Switch Check (With Bluetooth)" .
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 2.
NG >> Replace steering wheel audio control switch. AV- 4 6 , "
STEERING WHEEL AUDIO CONTROL
SWITCHES" .
2. CHECK AUDIO UNIT
1. Turn ignition switch ON.
2. Check voltage between audio unit harness connector M43 ter-
minals 6, 16 and ground.
OK or NG
OK >> Replace audio unit. Refer to AV- 4 3 , "AUDIO UNIT" .
NG >> GO TO 5.
3. CHECK BLUETOOTH CONTROL UNIT
1. Turn ignition switch ON.
2. Check voltage between Bluetooth control unit harness connec-
tor B121 terminals 17, 18 and ground.
OK or NG
OK >> Repair or replace harness.
NG >> Replace Bluetooth control unit. AV- 6 3 , "

Even under the normal condition, Bluetooth voice guidance may not occur when pressing steering wheel
audio control switch.

CONTROL SWITCH
1. CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN BLUETOOTH CONTROL UNIT AND BLUETOOTH MICROPHONE
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect Bluetooth control unit connector and Bluetooth microphone connector.
3. Check continuity between Bluetooth control unit connector B121
(A) and Bluetooth microphone connector R15 (B).
4. Check continuity between Bluetooth control unit harness con-
nector B121 and ground.
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 2.
NG >> Repair harness or connector.
2. CHECK BLUETOOTH MICROPHONE POWER SUPPLY
1. Connect Bluetooth control unit connector and Bluetooth microphone connector.
2. Turn ignition switch ON.
3. Check voltage between Bluetooth microphone connector R15
terminal 5 and ground.
YES or NO
YES >> GO TO 3.
NO >> Replace Bluetooth control unit. Refer to AV- 6 3 , "
BLUE-

2. CHECK BLUETOOTH VOICE SIGNAL CIRCUIT
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect Bluetooth control unit connector and audio unit connector.
3. Check continuity between Bluetooth control unit harness con-
nector B121 (A) and audio unit harness connector M44 (B).
4. Check continuity between Bluetooth control unit harness con-
nector B121 (A) and ground.
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 3.

When BCM is in sleep mode, transistors of OUTPUT 1 and 5 stop the output, and BCM enters low-cur-
rent-consumption mode. OUTPUTS (2, 3, and 4) turn ON-OFF at 60ms intervals, and receives lighting
switch input only.
CAN COMMUNICATION CONTROL
CAN communication allows a high rate of information through the two communication lines (CAN-L, CAN-H)
connecting the various control units in the system. Each control unit transmits/receives data, but selectively
reads required data only.
BCM STATUS CONTROL
BCM changes its status depending on the operation status in order to save power consumption.
1. CAN communication status
With ignition switch ON, CAN communicates with other control units normally.
Control by BCM is being operated properly.
When ignition switch is OFF, switching to sleep mode is possible.
Even when ignition switch is OFF, if CAN communication with IPDM E/R and combination meter is
active, CAN communication status is active.
2. Sleep transient status
This status shuts down CAN communication when ignition switch is turned OFF.
It transmits sleep request signal to IPDM E/R and combination meter.
Two seconds after CAN communication of all control units stops, CAN communication switches to inac-
tive status.
3. CAN communication inactive status
With ignition switch OFF, CAN communication is not active.
With ignition switch OFF, control performed only by BCM is active.
Three seconds after CAN communication of all control units stops, CAN communication switches to
inactive status.

BCM is activated with low current consumption mode.
CAN communication is not active.
When CAN communication operation is detected, it switches to CAN communication status.
When a state of the following switches changes, it switches to CAN communication state:
–Ignition switch
–Key switch (without Intelligent Key)
–Key switch and ignition knob switch (with Intelligent Key)
–Hazard switch
–Door lock/unlock switch
–Front door switch (LH, RH)
–Rear door switch (LH, RH)
–Back door lock assembly
–Combination switch (passing, lighting switch 1st position, front fog lamp)
–Keyfob (lock/unlock signal)
–Front door key cylinder switch LH
When control performed only by BCM is required by switch, it shifts to CAN communication inactive
mode.
Status of combination switch reading function is changed.

Power door lock system. Refer to BL-23, "POWER DOOR LOCK SYSTEM" .
Remote keyless entry system. Refer to BL-54, "REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM" .
Power window system. Refer to GW-17, "POWER WINDOW SYSTEM" . NOTE
Room lamp timer. Refer to LT- 9 1 , "INTERIOR ROOM LAMP" .
Rear wiper and washer system. Refer to WW-30, "REAR WIPER AND WASHER SYSTEM" .
NOTE:
Power supply only. No system control.

Panic system. Refer to BL-54, "REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM" .
Vehicle security (theft warning) system. Refer to BL-193, "VEHICLE SECURITY (THEFT WARNING)

NVIS(NATS) system. Refer to BL-212, "NATS (Nissan Anti-Theft System)" .
