U s e y o ur   I nf o t a i n m e nt   sy st e m  i n  s uc h   a  
way  that you can alwa ys drive  safely. 
If y ou hav e any  doubts,  stop  the vehic le 
and operate the Infotainment system while 
t h e v eh i cl e  i s n o t  m ov i ng .
Theft protecti on
T h e I nf o t a i n m e nt  s ys t em  i s  equ i p p e d w i t h  
an ele ctronic the ft-de terre nt fe ature  which 
works by  learning part of the  Vehic le 
Ide ntification Num ber (V IN). 
The Infotainme nt s ys tem only w ork s in your 
vehicle and  is therefore of no value to 
thieve s.  
Retained Ac cessory  Pow er  (RAP)
This fe ature allows  the  Infotainme nt 
system to be played even after the ignition 
is turne d off.
Display
The following information can be shown on 
the c entral dis play p ane l:
– Radio inform ation,
–Time,
–Date,
– S o u nd  se t t i ng s,
–CD/MP3 information.Operation
Swit ching on/ off Press the X e kn ob .
 T h e In fo t a i n m e nt  sy st e m  s w i t c h es  
on/off.
Informat ion dis pla ye d
The  illumina ted dis play  shows  informa tion 
for the rad io,  the  CD/MP3 pla yer, tim e and 
the sound settings.
When  the Infotainm ent system  is switched 
on, the  dis play illuminate s and  the mos t 
re ce ntly  s e le cted  aud io s ourc e play s at the 
previous  volume  se tting.
Vo lu m e
 Turn the X e knob; 
clockw is e  to increas e the  volume  or 
anticlockwis e to decre ase  the volum e.
 zW hen it is  s witched on,  the  
Infotainment s ys te m play s at the  most 
re cently s et  volum e.
 zThe  radio volume  can be  adjuste d 
automatically  to c om pensate for road 
and w ind  nois e,  de pending on ve hicle 
speed.  See “Sp eed Comp ensa ted 
V olum e (SC V)”  on p age  86 for furthe r

backwa rd s to othe r tracks on the  disc.

Main men u
The main me nu is  the  display  that app ears  
after  the Infota inm ent system is switched 
on. The following inform ation may be 
dis playe d:
– Wav eband,
– Radio station frequency or nam e,
–Time,
–CD/MP3 information,
– Dis play , play back,  sound or 
station me mory labe ls  etc..
Audio I nformat ion
The following inform ation is  s how n  in 
the d isplay :
– Current wav eband or C D.
– Current station frequency, 
CD track numb er or e lapse d track time.
– If the RDS  function is active , 
the  s tation nam e or s tation  call lette rs 
appea r on the  dis play. Se e “RDS  
(R adio Data S yste m)” on page  8 7.
– If  th ere  is a  CD  in  th e  CD  s lo t, 
the  “CD”  sy mbol illuminates on the 
display . S ee  “CD/ MP3  Play er” on 
page 90 .
– If the C D is  in  rand om  mode , 
the  “RDM” sym bol illum inate s  on  the  
display . S ee  “Random Mode ” on 
page 94 .Ti me  and da te

Single-dis c C D playe r
In vehicle s with a s ingle -dis c CD play er, s et 
the  time  and date  as follow s:
 T u r n  i g n i ti o n  k e y  to  AC C  or  R U N .  
 Press the X e kn ob . 
 T h e In fo t a i n m e nt  sy st e m  s w i t c h es  o n .
 Press the C 1 clock button.
 T h e  HR, M I N, M M , D D ,  YYY Y 
(hour,  minute, m onth,  day and  yea r) 
labe ls appe ar on the  dis play.
 Press the ap prop ria te  button 6 
locate d be low  the labe l that you wis h 
to change .
 Press the same button 6 again to 
i n cr ea se  t h e t i m e /d a t e.
 T h e  va l u e s e le ct ed  i n cr ea s es  by  o n e 
(h o ur/ min u te/ mo nth / day/ ye ar) eve ry 
time  the same  button 6 is pressed 
aga in. zThe va lue selected can  also be 
changed us ing the SEE K wf, 
SE EKq g, FWD c and RE V  d 
buttons and the  
K8 tune  knob, as 
follows:
 Press the SE EKwf button or the  
FW D c button.
 The va lue selected increases

REV  d b utton.
 The va lue selected decreases

 Turn the K8 tune knob clock wise or 
anticloc kwise .
 The va lue selected increases  or 
dec reases (hour/minute/m onth/d ay/
ye ar).
The date does  not disp la y automatically.  
To dis play  the  date , proce ed  as  follows :
 Press the C 1 clock  button w ith the

 The  date  appe ars . 
 zAfter a few seconds, the display reverts 
back  to  the  normal radio and  tim e 
disp lay.
