Warning lamp C or warning lamp D remains
lit depending on the state of the front
passenger airbag (deactivated or activated).
Warning lamps
Displayed as symbols, visual indicators
which inform the driver of the occurrence
of a
malfunction (warning lamps) or of the
operating status of a
system (operation or
deactivation indicator lamps). Certain lamps
light up in two ways (fixed or flashing) and/or in
several colours.
Associated warnings
The illumination of a lamp can be accompanied
b y an audible signal and/or a message
displayed in a
screen.
Relating the type of alert to the operating status
of the vehicle allows you to determine whether
the situation is normal or a
fault has occurred:
refer to the description of each lamp for further
information.
When the ignition is switched on
Certain red or orange warning lamps come on
for a few seconds when the ignition is switched
on. These warning lamps should go off as soon
as the engine is started.

Persistent warning lamp
When the engine is running or the vehicle is
being driven, the illumination of a red or orange
warning lamp indicates a
fault that needs
further investigation, using any associated
message and the description of the warning
lamp in the documentation.
Where a warning lamp remains lit
The references (1) (2) and (3) in the warning
and indicator lamp description indicate whether
you should contact a
qualified professional
in addition to the immediate recommended
actions.
(1 ) : You must stop as soon as it is safe to
do so and switch off the ignition.
(2): Contact a
PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified
workshop.
(3) : Go to a

List of warning and indicator lamps

Brakes Fixed. The brake fluid level has dropped
significantly. Top up with brake fluid approved by PEUGEOT.
If the problem persists, carry out (3).
The braking system is faulty. Carry out (1) then (2).
Parking brake Fixed, accompanied
by an audible signal. The parking brake is applied or not
properly released.
+ Engine oil
pressure
Fixed.
The engine oil pressure is too low. Carry out (1) and then (2).
Maximum
engine coolant
temperature Flashing.
The temperature of the engine
coolant is rising. Drive carefully.
Fixed. The temperature of the cooling
system is too high. Carry out (1), then wait until the engine has cooled
down before topping up to the required level if
necessary. If the problem persists, carry out (2).

ETG gearbox Fixed. The ETG gearbox has a
fault. Quickly carry out (3).
Clutch Flashing,
accompanied by an
audible signal. The temperature of the clutch is too
high.
Carry out (1), place the selector of the ETG
gearbox in position N and wait 15
minutes until the
temperature of the clutch has dropped.
Power steering Flashing or fixed,
accompanied by an
audible signal. The power steering has a
fault. Drive carefully at moderate speed, then carry out (3).
Battery charge Fixed. The battery charging circuit has
a
fault (dirty terminals, slack or cut
alternator belt, etc.). Clean and retighten the lugs. If the warning
lamp does not go off when the engine is started,
carry out (2).
Door(s) open/
Boot open Fixed, accompanied
by an audible signal. A door or the boot is still open.
Close the access concerned.

faulty. Quickly carry out (3).
Engine fault Fixed.
A major fault that does not have a specific
w arning lamp has been detected.Carry out (2) without fail.
Low fuel level Fixed, accompanied
by an audible signal. When it first comes on there remains
approximately 5
litres of fuel in the
tank (reserve). Refuel without delay to avoid running out of fuel.
Never drive until completely empty
, this could
damage the emissions and injection systems.
Under-inflation Fixed. The pressure in one or more tyres is
too low. Check the pressure of the tyres as soon as possible.
Reinitialise the detection system after adjusting the
pressure.
Dynamic
stability control
(DSC)/Traction
control (TRC) Flashing.
DSC/ TRC is activated if there is
a
loss of grip or trajectory.
Fixed. The DSC/ TRC systems are faulty. Carry out (3).

Front passenger

The front passenger airbag is

The control is in the "ON" position. In this case, do NOT install a "
rearward facing"
child seat on the front passenger seat – Risk of
serious injury!
Front passenger
airbag(OFF) Fixed.
The front passenger airbag is
deactivated.
The control is in the "OFF" position. You can install a "rear ward facing" child seat,
unless there is a
fault with the airbags (airbag
warning lamp on).
Keyless Entr y

audible signal. The battery of the electronic key is
defective.
Change the battery.
You are leaving the vehicle without
having activated the " OFF" mode. With the electronic key on your person, press the
START/STOP button to go into "
OFF" mode.
The electronic key is not recognised. Check that you have the electronic key on your
person.
The Keyless Entry and Starting
system has a

The conditions for starting the

Flashing slowly. The vehicle is in "ACC" mode.
The accessories (audio system, 12

socket, …) can be used.
Flashing rapidly. The steering column is not unlocked. Go into " OFF" mode, then into " ON" mode and gently
turn the steering wheel to unlock the steering column.
