Switching the system off
)Press this button to recirculatethe interior air. The indicator lamp in the button comes on and
the air recirculation symbol is
displayed.

Air recirculation prevents exterior odoursand smoke from entering the passenger compartment. It is activated automatically when
operating the screen wash.

Avoid driving for too long with the system switched off (risk of misting andof deterioration of the air quality).
Pressing the "full fan"button reactivates the system with the settings prior to deactivation.
The air
flow symbol (a fan) appears in thescreen. It is filled in progressively in relation to
the value required. Thi
s action switches off all of the functions of
the air conditioning system. The temperature is no longer maintained at a comfor table level. However, a slight flow of air, due
to the movement of the vehicle, can still be felt.) As soon as possible, press this button
again to permit the intake of exterior air and
prevent misting. The indicator lamp in the
button goes off.
) Press this button several times in succession to direct the air flowin turn towards:


6. Air distribution adjustment



- the windscreen, the side windows and the
footwells,

- the windscreen and side windows (demisting or defrosting),

- the central and side vents,

- the central vents, the side vents and the
footwells,

- the footwells.



Avoid prolonged operation in interior air recirculation mode (risk of misting andof deterioration of the air quality).

The control button is located on theair conditioning system control panel.
These markin
gs on the control panel indicate the control positions for rapid demisting or
defrosting of the windscreen and side windows.
With manual air
conditioning


Switching on

The rear screen demisting/defrosting can onlyoperate when the engine is running.)Press this button to demist/defrost the rear screen and (depending on version) the door mirrors. The indicator lamp associated with
the button comes on.

With Stop & Star t, when demisting has been activated, the STOP mode is not available.


Switching off

The demisting/defrosting switches off automatically
to prevent an excessive consumption of current.)It is possible to stop the demisting/defrosting
operation before it is switched off automatically
by pressing the button again. The indicator lamp associated with the button goes off.
With dual-zone digital air
conditioning
Automatic visibility programme)Put the temperature and distributioncontrols to the dedicated marked position. )Switch on the air conditioning by pressing
the "A/C"button; the warning lamp in thebutton comes on.
) Select this programme to demist or defrost
the windscreen and side windows as quickly as possible.
The system automatically manages the air conditioning, air flow and air intake, and
provides optimum distribution towards the
win
dscreen and side windows.) To stop the programme, press either the "visibility"button again or "AU TO "
, the
warning lamp on the button goes off and
the warning lamp in the "AU TO "buttoncomes on.
The system rever ts to the previous settings.

Illuminated glove

It has dedicated locations for storing a water
bottle, the vehicle's handbook pack...
Its lid has locations for a pair of glasses...)To open the glove box, raise the handle.
It is illuminated when the lid is opened
(depending on version).
It houses the front passenger airbag deactivation switch A.If the vehicle is fitted with air conditioning, it provides access to the ventilation nozzle B ,
distributing the same conditioned air as the
vents in the passen
ger compartment.

Additional USB port

Depending on version, your vehicle may be fitted with a second USB por t, located on the centre console. When in use, the USB por t / Jack auxiliar y
socket must not be used to charge apor table device (risk of overload).









USB port / Jack auxiliary socket


This connection box, consisting of a JACK
auxiliary socket and a USB por t, is located on
the centre console.
It allows the connection of por table device,such as a digital audio player of the iPod ®type
or a USB memory stick.
It reads the audio files which are transmitted to your audio system and played via the vehicle's speakers.
You can manage these files using the steeringmounted controls or the audio system control panel and display them in the instrument panelscreen. When the U
SB por t is used, the por table devicecharges automatically.

To remove the mat on the driver's side:)move the seat as far back as possible,)unclip the fixings, )remove the mat.

Refitting
To avoid any risk of jamming of thepedals:- only use mats which are suited to the fixings already present in the vehicle; these fixings must be used, - never fit one mat on top of another. The use of mats not approved byPEUGEOT may interfere with access to the pedals and hinder the operation of the cruise control / speed limiter.

This consists of two sections which can be folded back on each other.
To store it, fold it on itself and place it at the
bottom of the boot. To gain access to the boot
from the rear seats: )

Warning triangle (stowing)

Before leaving your vehicle to set up
and install the triangle, put on your high visibility vest.

The dimensions o
f the triangle (once folded) or
its storage box must be:


- A
: length = 438 mm,

- B: height = 56mm, -C: width = 38 mm.
To use the triangle, refer to the manufacturer'sinstructions.
Placing the triangle in the road


The location for stowing a folded triangle or its box is under the front seat or under the boot carpet (depending on version).

Starting-stopping the engine With a manual gearbox, put the gear lever in neutral.
With an electronic gearbox , put the gear lever on N
.
With an automatic gearbox , put the gear lever on P
or N.
)Inser t the key in the ignition switch.
The system recognises the star ting code. )Turn the key fully towards the dashboard toposition 3 (Starting).)When the engine starts, release the key.
Starting the engine

A heavy object (key fob...), attached tothe key and weighing down on its shaft in the ignition switch, could cause amalfunction.
Key left in the "Ignition on"position
On opening the driver's door, an aler t message is displayed, accompanied by an audible signal, to remind you that the key isstill in the ignition switch at position 1 (Stop).
)
Immobilise the vehicle.)
Turn the key fully towards you to
position 1 (Stop).) Remove the key from the ignition switch.


Switching the engine off

If the key has been left in the ignition
switch at position 2 (Ignition on),the ignition will be switched off automatically after one hour.
To switch the ignition back on, turn the key to position 1 (Stop)
, then back toposition 2 (Ignition on).


Free wheeling

For safety reasons, do not free wheel.
When free wheeling, some vehicle functions will no longer be active.
