Access
Secondary control
For mechanically locking and unlocking the doors in the event of a fault with the central
locking system or a battery failure.


Driver's door

Inser t the key in the lock to lock or unlock the door.


Passenger doors
)On the rear doors, check that the child lock
is not on.)Remove the black cap located on the edge
of the door, using the key. )Inser t the key into the aper ture without forcing, then without turning, move the
latch sideways towards the inside of thedoor.
)Remove the key and refit the cap.




Changing the battery

Battery ref.: CR1620 / 3 volts.
Do not throw the remote control batteries away, they contain metalswhich are harmful to the environment.
Take them to an approved collectionpoint.
Remote control problem
Reinitialisation
)
Switch off the ignition.)
Turn the key to position 2 (Ignition).)
Press the closed padlock immediately for a
few seconds.) Switch off the ignition and remove the key
from the ignition switch.
The remote control is fully operational again. Followin
g disconnection of the vehicle battery,replacement of the remote control battery or in the event of a remote control malfunction, you can no longer unlock, lock or locate your
vehicle.) First of all, use the key in the lock to unlock
or lock your vehicle.) Then, reinitialise the remote control.
I
f the problem persists, contact a PEUGEOT
dealer as soon as possible.
If the batter
y is flat, you are informed
by lighting of this warning lamp in the
instrument panel, an audible signal
and a message in the screen.) Unclip the cover using a screwdriver in thecutout.)
Remove the cover.)
Extract the flat battery from its location.
)
Place the new battery into its location
observing the original direction. ) Clip the cover in place.

Lost keys
Go to a PEUGEOT dealer with the vehicle's registration document, your personal identification documents and if possible the key code label. The PEUGEOT dealer will be able to look up the key code and the transponder code required to order a new key.
Remote control
The high frequency remote control is a sensitive system; do not operate it while it is in your pocket as there is a possibility that it may unlock the vehicle, without you being aware of it.
Do not repeatedly press the buttons of your remote control out of range and out of sight of your vehicle. You run the risk of stopping it fromworking and the remote control would have to be reinitialised.No remote control can operate when the key is in the ignition switch, even when the ignition is switched off, except for reinitialisation.
Locking the vehicle
Driving with the doors locked may make access to the passenger compar tment by the emergency services more difficult in an emergency.
As a safety precaution, never leave children alone in the vehicle, except for a very shor t period. In all cases, it is essential to remove the key from the ignition switch when leaving the vehicle.
Anti-theft protection
Do not make any modifications to the electronic engine immobiliser system; this could cause malfunctions.
When purchasing a second-hand vehicle
Have the pairing of all of the keys in your possession checked by a PEUGEOT dealer, to ensure that only your keys can be used to open andstart the vehicle.

System which protects and provides a deterrent
against theft and break-ins. It provides the
following types of monitoring.





Alarm


- Exterior perimeter

The system checks for opening of the vehicle.
The alarm is triggered if anyone tries to open a
door, the boot, the bonnet...




- Interior volumetric

The system checks for any variation in the
volume in the passenger compartment.
The alarm is triggered if anyone breaks a
window, enters the passenger compar tment or
moves inside the vehicle.
Self-protection function
The system checks for the putting out of service of its components. The alarm is triggered if the battery, thecentral control or the wires of the siren are put out of ser vice or damaged.
For all work on the alarm system, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or aqualified workshop.
Locking the vehicle with full
alarm system
Activation
)Switch off the ignition and get out of the vehicle.
) Press the locking button on the
remote control.
After the locking button on the remote control
is pressed, the exterior perimeter monitoring
is activated after a delay of 5 seconds and the
interior volumetric monitoring after a delay of 45 seconds.
If an opening (door, boot...) is not closed fully, the vehicle is not locked but the exterior
perimeter monitoring will be activated after a
dela
y of 45 seconds at the same time as the
interior volumetric monitoring.
)
Press the unlocking button on
the remote control.

Deactivation

The alarm system is deactivated: the
indicator lamp in the button goes off.
The monitoring system is active: the
indicator lamp in the button
flashes once per second.

Locking the vehicle
w
ith exterior perimeter
monitoring only
Deactivate the interior volumetric monitoring
to avoid unwanted triggering of the alarm incertain cases such as:
- leaving a pet in the vehicle,
- leaving a window par tially open,
- washing your vehicle.
Deactivation of the interior volumetric monitoring
)
Switch off the ignition. )
Within ten seconds, press the button until the indicator lamp is
on continuously. ) Get out of the vehicle.
)
Press the locking button on the
remote control immediately.
The exterior perimeter monitorin
g alone is activated: the indicator lamp in the buttonflashes once per second.

Reactivation of the interior volumetric monitoring


Tr iggering of the alarm


This is indicated by sounding of the siren
and flashing of the direction indicators for
thirty seconds.
The monitorin
g functions remain active until
the alarm has been triggered eleven times in succession.
)Press the unlocking button on
the remote control to deactivate
the exterior perimeter monitoring.
) Press the locking button on theremote control to activate all themonitoring functions.
The indicator lamp in the button
a
gain flashes once per second.

When the vehicle is unlocked usin
gthe remote control, rapid flashing
of the indicator lamp in the button
in
forms you that the alarm was
triggered during your absence. When the ignition
is switched on, this flashing stops immediately.



Failure of the remote control

To deactivate the monitoring functions:
)Unlock the vehicle using the key in thedriver's door lock. )Open the door; the alarm is triggered.)Switch on the ignition; the alarm stops. The
indicator lamp in the button goes off.

Locking the vehicle without
activating the alarm
)Lock or deadlock the vehicle using the keyin the driver's door lock.


Malfunction


When the ignition is switched on, fixed
illumination of the indicator lamp in the button
indicates a mal
function of the system.
Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.

Automatic activation *



2 minutes after the last door or the boot isclosed, the system is activated automatically. )To avoid triggering the alarm on entering
the vehicle, first press the unlocking buttonon the remote control. To be effective, this deactivation mustbe carried out each time the ignition is switched off.

Manual operation
To open or close the window, press or pull the
switch gently. The window stops as soon as theswitch is released.
Automatic one-touch
operation
(depending on version)
To open or close the window, press or pull
the switch fully: the window opens or closes completely when the switch is released.Pressing the switch again stops the movementof the window.
The electric window switches remain
operational for approximately one minute after
the key has been removed. Once this time has elapsed, the electricwindows will not operate. To reactivate them,
switch the ignition on again.

Safety anti-pinch
(depending on version)
When the window rises and meets an obstacle,it stops and immediately partially lowers again.
In the event of unwanted opening of the window
when closing automatically, press the switch
until the window opens completel
y, then pull
the switch immediately until the window closes.Continue to hold the switch for approximatelyone second after the window has closed.
The safety anti-pinch function is not activeduring this operation.


Deactivating the rear
window controls
For the safety of your children,press switch 5to prevent operation
of the windows of the rear doors,
irrespective of their position.
With the warnin
g lamp on, the rear switches
are deactivated. With the warning lamp off, the switches are active.

Reinitialising the electric
w
indows
Following reconnection of the battery, the
safety anti-pinch function must be reinitialised.
The safety anti-pinch is not active during these
operations:
- lower the window completel
y, then raise it, it will rise in steps of a few centimetres
each time the switch is pressed. Repeat
t
he operation until the window closescompletely,
- press and hold the switch upwards for at least one second after reaching this position, window closed.

Always remove the key when leaving the vehicle, even for a shor t time. In the event of contact during operation of the windows, you must reverse themovement of the window. To do this, press the switch concerned.When operating the passenger electric window switches, the driver must ensure that no one is preventing correct closing of the windows.The driver must ensure that thepassengers use the electric windows correctly.Be aware of children when operating thewindows.

Boot
)After unlocking the boot or the vehicle
using the remote control or the key, press
the opening control, then raise the tailgate.
Tailgate release
System for mechanical unlocking of the boot in
the event of a central locking malfunction.

Opening Closing
)
Lower the tailgate using the interior grab
handle. ) If necessary, press down on the tailgate tofully close it.
If the tailgate is not closed correctly:
- when the en
gine is running ,
this warning lamp comes on, accompanied by the display of analert message for a few seconds,
- when the vehicle is moving
(speed above6 mph (10 km/h)), this warning lamp comes
on, accompanied by an audible signal and
the display of an aler t message for a fewseconds.


Unlocking
)
Fold back the rear seats to gain access to
the lock from inside the boot. ) Insert a small screwdriver into hole Aof thelock to unlock the tailgate.

Panoramic sunroof System which comprises configurable light guides and a panoramic tinted glass area to increase
the light and visibility in the passenger compar tment. It is fitted with a manual blind in two par ts tomaintain a comfortable temperature.
It is fitted with an electric blind to improve temperature and acoustic comfor t.

The blind stops when you release the control.

If something is trapped when operatingthe blind, you should reverse the movement of the blind. To do this press the control in question. When the driver operates the blind, they should ensure that nobody prevents its correct closing.
The driver should ensure that passengers use the blind correctly.
Be aware of children when operating the blind.

Head restraint height adjustment
)To raise the head restraint, pull it upwards. )To remove the head restraint, press thelug A
and pull the head restraint upwards.)To put the head restraint back in place,
engage the head restraint stems in the
openings keeping them in line with the seat back. )To lower the head restraint, press the lug Aand the head restraint at the same time.
The head restraint is fitted with a framewith notches which prevents it fromlowering; this is a safety device in caseof impact. The adjustment is correct when theupper edge of the head restraint is level with the top of the head.Never drive with the head restraintsremoved; they must be in place andadjusted correctly.
