This indicates one of the fol-
lowing:
- faulty operation of the charging circuit,
- slack battery or starter terminals,
- a cut or slack alternator belt,
- an alternator failure.
Consult a PEUGEOT dealer.
E m i s s i o n c o n t r o l
s y s t e m w a r n i n g l i g h t

This comes on for a few seconds each
time the ignition is switched on.
If it comes on with the engine running,
this indicates incorrect operation of
the injection, ignition or emission
control system.
I f t h e w a r n i n g l i g h t l a s h e s , t h e r e i s a
risk of damage to the catalytic con-
verter on petrol engines.
Consult a PEUGEOT dealer. D i e s e l e n g i n e p r e - h e a t
warning light
Wait until the warning light
goes out before starting the engine.
If the temperature is high enough,
the warning light comes on for less
than one second. You can start the
engine without waiting.
L o w f u e l l e v e l
warning light
W h e n t h i s l i g h t i r s t
comes on, you have enough fuel to
drive at least 30 miles (50 km). The tank
capacity is approximately 50 litres.
S p e e d l i m i t e r / c r u i s e
c o n t r o l i n d i c a t o r l i g h t
This comes on when the
speed limiter or cruise con-
trol is activated.
D y n a m i c s t a b i l i t y
c o n t r o l s y s t e m ( E S P /
ASR) warning light
This comes on for a few seconds each
time the ignition is switched on.
With the engine running and when
the vehicle is moving, it comes on if
the system is activated.
It lights permanently accompanied by
a message on the multifunction dis-
play when the system is disarmed.
If the warning light remains lit with
the engine running and when the ve-
hicle is moving, consult a PEUGEOT

s y s t e m ( A B S ) w a r n i n g
light
This comes on for a few seconds each
time the ignition is switched on.
If the warning light remains on or
comes on above 8 mph (12 km/h),
this indicates an ABS malfunction.
However, the vehicle retains conven-
tional servo-assisted braking.
Illumination of this warning light,
accompanied by an audible signal
and a message on the multifunction
display, indicates a fault in the ABS
system.
Consult a PEUGEOT dealer.

OPENING THE BONNET
Inside the vehicle: pull the handle on
the left-hand side, under the fascia.
Outside the vehicle: lift the catch
and raise the bonnet.
BONNET STRUT
Secure the strut to hold the bonnet
open.
Before closing the bonnet, replace
the strut in its housing.
FILLING THE FUEL
TANK
T h e t a n k m u s t b e i l l e d w i t h f u e l w i t h
the engine switched off .
Insert the key then turn it to the left.
Remove the cap.
A label indicates which type of fuel to
use.
I f y o u i l l y o u r t a n k , d o n o t c o n t i n u e
after the third cut-off of the pump
nozzle. This could result in vehicle
malfunctions.
The capacity of the tank is approx-
imately 50 litres.
To close
Lower the bonnet and release it at
the end of its travel.
Check that the bonnet is locked.
