DETECTION

b y y o u r v e h i c l e ( e x a m p l e : i t t i n g

system reinitialised by a PEUGEOT
dealer.

T h e t y r e p r e s s u r e s m u s t b e c h e c k e d
c o l d , a t l e a s t o n c e a m o n t h . R e -
m e m b e r t o c h e c k t h e p r e s s u r e o f
t h e s p a r e w h e e l .
T h e t y r e u n d e r - i n l a t i o n d e t e c t i o n
s y s t e m m a y e x p e r i e n c e t e m p o r a r y
interference due to radioelectric
e m i s s i o n s o n a f r e q u e n c y c l o s e t o
that used by the system.
S e n s o r s i t t e d i n e a c h v a l v e t r i g g e r a
w a r n i n g i n t h e e v e n t o f m a l f u n c t i o n
( s p e e d a b o v e 1 2 m p h ( 2 0 k m / h ) .
A m e s s a g e a p p e a r s o n t h e m u l t i f u n c -
t i o n d i s p l a y , a c c o m p a n i e d b y a n a u d i b l e
s i g n a l , t o l o c a t e t h e w h e e l c o n c e r n e d .
C h e c k t h e t y r e p r e s s u r e s a s s o o n
a s p o s s i b l e .
T h i s c h e c k m u s t b e c a r r i e d o u t w h e n
the tyres are cold.

S t o p i m m e d i a t e l y , a v o i d i n g a n y s u d -
d e n m o v e m e n t o f t h e s t e e r i n g w h e e l
and the brakes.
C h a n g e t h e d a m a g e d w h e e l ( p u n c -
t u r e d o r v e r y d e l a t e d t y r e ) , a n d
h a v e t h e t y r e p r e s s u r e c h e c k e d a s
s o o n a s p o s s i b l e .
Puncture
T h e t y r e u n d e r - i n l a t i o n d e t e c t i o n
s y s t e m i s a n a i d t o d r i v i n g w h i c h
d o e s n o t r e p l a c e t h e n e e d f o r t h e
driver to be vigilant or to drive
r e s p o n s i b l y . Sensor(s) not detected or faulty
