When the engine is cold, to prevent
too great a distribution of cold
a i r , t h e a i r fl o w w i l l o n l y r e a c h i t s
optimum level gradually. The air conditioning can only operate with the engine running.
The driver and his front
passenger can each set
the temperature to suit their
requirements.
Turn dial 2 or 3 to the left to reduce
the value or to the right to increase it.
A setting around 21 enables you to
obtain an optimum level of comfort.
Depending on your requirements, a
setting between 18 and 24 is usual.
In addition, it is recommended that you avoid a left/right setting difference of more than 3.
4. Automatic visibility programme
The automatic comfort pro-

to quickly demist or de-ice the
windscreen and side windows
(humidity, several passengers,
ice...).
In this case, select the automatic vis-
ibility programme.
The system automatically controls the
a i r c o n d i t i o n i n g , t h e a i r fl o w a n d t h e a i r
intake and provides optimum distribution
of the ventilation to the windscreen and
side windows.

DUAL ZONE AUTOMATIC AIR CONDITIONING
We recommend that you use this mode: it provides optimised automatic control of all of the functions, passenger compartment t e m p e r a t u r e , a i r fl o w , a i r d i s t r i b u t i o n a n d air recirculation, in accordance with the comfort value that you have selected.
This system is designed to operate
effectively in all seasons, with the
windows closed. The value indicated on the display corresponds to a level of comfort and not to a temperature in degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit.

To exit this programme, press the "visibility" button again or the "AUTO"button, the indicator light on the button switches off and "AUTO" is displayed.
Press this button to switch the air conditioning off.

8. Air intake/Air recirculation Deactivation of the system
Press the "small fan" button until
the fan symbol disappears.
This action deactivates all of the func-
tions of the air conditioning system.
The temperature is no longer main-
tained at a comfortable level. However,
a s l i g h t fl o w o f a i r , d u e t o t h e m o v e m e n t
of the vehicle, can still be felt.
Press the "large fan" button again
or the "AUTO" button to reactivate
the system with the values which
were set before it was deactivated.
Press this button to recircu-late the interior air. The air recirculation symbol is dis-played.
5. Air conditioning On/Off
- the windscreen, the side windows and the footwells,
- the windscreen and side windows (demisting or de-icing),
- the central and side vents,
- the central vents, the side vents and the footwells,
- the footwells.
Press the "large fan" button t o i n c r e a s e t h e a i r fl o w .
T h e a i r fl o w s y m b o l , t h e f a n , i s fi l l e d i n progressively in relation to the value required.
Air recirculation prevents exterior odours and smoke from entering the passenger
compartment.
As soon as possible, press this button
again to permit the intake of exterior
air and prevent condensation.
For maximum cooling or heating of
the passenger compartment, you
can exceed the minimum value of
14 or the maximum value of 28 .
Resuming manual control
Depending on your requirements, you
can make a different selection from that
offered by the system by changing a
setting. The other functions will still be
controlled automatically.
Press the "AUTO" button to return
to fully automatic operation.
Switching the system off may result in
discomfort (humidity, condensation).
Press the button again to return to auto-matic operation of the air conditioning. The symbol "A/C" is displayed.

To avoid any risk of jamming of the
pedals:
- only use mats which are suited t o t h e fi x i n g s a l r e a d y p r e s e n t i n
the vehicle; it is imperative that
these are used.
MAT
Removable component which protects the carpet against exterior dirt.
Refitting

position the mat correctly,

check that the mat is secured correctly. Fitting

Removal
To remove the mat on the driver's side:
move the seat as far back as possible,
u n c l i p t h e fi x i n g s ,

USB PLUG - READER
This connection box, consisting of a
JACK socket and a USB port, is located
on the centre console.
It permits the connection of portable
equipment, such as a digital audio play-
er of the iPod ®
or USB stick type.
I t r e a d s t h e a u d i o fi l e f o r m a t s ( m p 3 ,
ogg, wma, wav...) which are transmitted
to your audio equipment and played via
the vehicle's speakers.
Y o u c a n m a n a g e t h e s e fi l e s u s i n g t h e
steering wheel controls or the audio
equipment control panel and display
them on the multifunction screen.
When it is in use, the portable equip-
ment charges automatically.

DOORS
After unlocking the vehicle using the
remote control or the key, pull the
door handle. From inside
Pull the front door control to open
the door; this unlocks the vehicle
completely.
Pull the rear door control to open
the door; this unlocks the door
concerned only.
The interior door controls do not
operate when the vehicle is dead-

Opening
After unlocking the vehicle using
the remote control or the key, with
the boot closed, press the control B
and raise the rear screen using the
base C of the wiper arm.
The boot and the rear screen can-
not both be open at the same time. Closing
Close the rear screen by pressing at
the centre of the glass.
If the rear screen is not closed correctly:
- when the engine is running, this warning light comes on, accompanied by a message on the multifunction display for a few seconds,
- when the vehicle is moving (speed
above 6 mph (10 km/h)), this warning
light comes on, accompanied by an
audible signal and a message on the
multifunction display for a few seconds.
BOOT (SW)
If the rear screen is open, the central
locking does not take place.

LIGHTING CONTROLS
System for selection and control of the various front and rear lights providing the vehicle's lighting.
Manual controls
The lighting commands are made di-rectly by the driver by means of ring A and lever B .
lights off,
side lights only,
dipped or main beam head-lamps,
B. lever for inversion of the lights by pulling: dipped headlamps/main beam headlamps.
In the lights off and side lights modes, the driver can switch on the main beam h e a d l a m p s d i r e c t l y ( " h e a d l a m p fl a s h " ) for as long as he pulls the lever.
Displays
The corresponding indicator light comes on o n t h e i n s t r u m e n t p a n e l t o c o n fi r m t h e s e -lective switching on of the lighting selected.
Main lighting
The vehicle's various front and rear lights are designed to adapt the driver's visibility gradually in relation to the climatic conditions:
- side lights, to be seen,
- dipped headlamps to see without dazzling other drivers,
-main beam headlamps for good visibility when the road is clear.
Additional lighting
Other lights are installed to respond to particular driving conditions:
- rear fog lamps to be seen from a distance,
- front fog lamps for even bettervisibility,
- directional headlamps for improved visibility around bends.
Programmes
Various automatic lighting control modes are also available according to the fol-lowing options:
- "follow-me-home" lighting,
- automatic lighting,
- static directional lighting.

Do not cover the brightness sen-
sor, coupled with the rain sensor
and located in the centre of the
windscreen behind the interior mir-
ror; the associated functions would
no longer be controlled.
Coupling with the "Follow-me-
home" lighting
Association with the automatic lighting
provides the "follow-me-home" lighting
with the following additional options:
- selection of the duration of main-
taining of the lighting for 15, 30 or
60 seconds in the vehicle param-
eters on the multifunction display
c o n fi g u r a t i o n m e n u ,
- automatic activation of "follow-me- home" lighting when automatic light-
ing is in operation.
Automatic lighting
The side lights and dipped headlamps
are switched on automatically, without
any action on the part of the driver,
when a low level of external light is de-
tected (sensor behind the interior mir-
r o r ) o r w h e n t h e w i n d s c r e e n w i p e r s a r e
switched on.
As soon as the brightness returns to a
s u f fi c i e n t l e v e l o r a f t e r t h e w i n d s c r e e n
wipers are switched off, the lights are
switched off automatically.
"Follow-me-home" lighting
porarily, after switching off the vehicle's ignition, to make the driver's exit easier in poor light.
Activation
With the ignition off, activate a " h e a d l a m p fl a s h " u s i n g l e v e r B .
A s e c o n d " h e a d l a m p fl a s h " s w i t c h e s the function off again.
Switching off
The "follow-me-home" lighting is switched off automatically following the door locking command, after a given time.

Daytime lights *
O n v e h i c l e s fi t t e d w i t h d a y t i m e l i g h t s , the dipped headlamps come on when the vehicle is started.
This indicator light comes on on the instrument panel.
The instruments and controls (instru-ment panel, multifunction display, air c o n d i t i o n i n g c o n t r o l p a n e l , . . . ) a r e n o t lit, unless the automatic switching on of the lights mode is activated or the lights are switched on manually.
