By means of the air quality
s e n s o r , t h e s y s t e m a l s o o p t i -
mises the air quality. On entering the vehicle, if the
interior temperature is much
colder or warmer than the
comfort value, there is no need to
change the value displayed in order
to obtain the comfort required more
q u i c k l y . T h e s y s t e m c o r r e c t s t h e d i f -
ference in temperature automatically
and as quickly as possible.
The air conditioning only operates when
the engine is running. The driver and front passenger
c a n e a c h a d j u s t t h e t e m p e r a -
ture to their requirements.
Turn control 2 or 3 to the left or to
the right respectively to decrease or
increase this value.
A setting around the value 21 provides
o p t i m u m c o m f o r t . H o w e v e r , d e p e n d -
i n g o n y o u r r e q u i r e m e n t s , a s e t t i n g b e -
tween 18 and 24 is normal.

Heated seats control
With the engine running, the front seats
can be heated separately.
Use the adjustment dial, placed on
the side of each front seat, to switch

To remove the head restraint, press
the lug A and pull the head restraint
upwards.
To put the head restraint back in
place, engage the head restraint
stems in the openings keeping them
in line with the seat back.
To lower the head restraint, press
the lug A and the head restraint at
the same time.

straint, tilt its lower part forwards or
rearwards. T h e h e a d r e s t r a i n t i s fi t t e d w i t h
a frame with notches which
prevents it from lowering; this
is a safety device in case of

Electronic engine immobiliser
The key contains an electronic chip
which has a special code. When the
ignition is switched on, this code must
b e r e c o g n i s e d i n o r d e r f o r s t a r t i n g t o b e
p o s s i b l e .
T h i s e l e c t r o n i c e n g i n e i m m o b i l i s e r l o c k s
the engine management system a few
minutes after the ignition is switched off
a n d p r e v e n t s s t a r t i n g o f t h e e n g i n e b y
anyone who does not have the key.

DOORS
After unlocking the vehicle com-
pletely using the remote control or
the key, pull the door handle. From inside

The interior door controls do

Closing
When a door is not closed correctly: - when the engine is run-

rush of air. This vacuum, which is

sealing of the fuel system.
FUEL TANK
Capacity of the tank: approximately
60 litres. T o fi l l t h e t a n k s a f e l y :
it is essential that the engine is
switched off,
o p e n t h e f u e l fi l l e r fl a p ,
insert the key in the cap, then turn it
to the left,
When refueling is complete:
p u t t h e c a p b a c k i n p l a c e ,
turn the key to the right, then remove
it from the cap,
c l o s e t h e fi l l e r fl a p .
remove the cap and secure it on the
hook, located on the inside of the
fl a p ,
fi l l t h e t a n k , b u t do not continue af-
ter the 3rd cut-off of the nozzle ;
this could cause malfunctions.
Low fuel level
Operating fault
A malfunction of the fuel gauge is indi-
c a t e d b y t h e r e t u r n t o z e r o o f t h e f u e l
level indicator needle.

Refueling
A l a b e l a f fi x e d t o t h e i n s i d e o f t h e fi l l e r
fl a p r e m i n d s y o u o f t h e t y p e o f f u e l t o b e
used according to your engine.
M o r e t h a n 5 l i t r e s o f f u e l m u s t b e a d d -
e d i n o r d e r t o b e r e g i s t e r e d b y t h e f u e l
gauge. When the fuel tank minimum
level is reached, this warning
lamp comes on on the instru-
m e n t p a n e l , a c c o m p a n i e d b y a n
a u d i b l e s i g n a l a n d a m e s s a g e
on the multifunction screen.
W h e n t h e l a m p fi r s t c o m e s o n , y o u h a v e
approximately 6 litres of fuel remaining.
You must refuel to avoid run-
ning out of fuel.
If you run out of fuel (Diesel), re-
fer also to the "Checks" section.

Quality of the fuel used for petrol engines
The petrol engines are perfectly com-
p a t i b l e w i t h E 1 0 t y p e p e t r o l b i o f u e l s
(containing 10 % ethanol), conforming
to European standards EN 228 and
EN 15376.
E85 type fuels (containing up to 85 %
ethanol) are reserved exclusively for ve-
hicles marketed for the use of this type
of fuel (BioFlex vehicles). The quality of
the ethanol must comply with European
standard EN 15293.
F o r B r a z i l o n l y , s p e c i a l v e h i c l e s a r e
marketed to run on fuels containing up
to 100 % ethanol (E100 type).
Quality of the fuel used for Diesel engines
The Diesel engines are perfectly com-
p a t i b l e w i t h b i o f u e l s w h i c h c o n f o r m t o
current and future European standards
(Diesel fuel which complies with stand-
a r d E N 5 9 0 m i x e d w i t h a b i o f u e l w h i c h
complies with standard EN 14214)
a v a i l a b l e a t t h e p u m p s ( c o n t a i n i n g u p
to 7 % Fatty Acid Methyl Ester).
T h e B 3 0 b i o f u e l c a n b e u s e d i n c e r -
tain Diesel engines; however, this use
i s s u b j e c t t o s t r i c t a p p l i c a t i o n o f t h e
special servicing conditions. Consult a
P E U G E O T d e a l e r .
T h e u s e o f a n y o t h e r t y p e o f ( b i o ) f u e l
( v e g e t a b l e o r a n i m a l o i l s , p u r e o r d i l u t -
e d , d o m e s t i c f u e l . . . ) i s s t r i c t l y p r o h i b i t e d

Front and rear courtesy lamps
In this position, the courtesy
lamp comes on gradually:
Map reading lamps
With the ignition on, press the cor-
responding switch.
With the "permanent lighting"
mode, the duration of lighting
varies depending on the context:
- with the ignition off, approximate- ly ten minutes,
- in energy economy mode, ap- proximately thirty seconds,
- with the engine running, unlimited.
- when the vehicle is unlocked,
- when the key is removed from the
ignition,
- when a door is opened,
- when the remote control locking but- ton is activated, in order to locate
your vehicle.
Permanently off.
Permanent lighting. When the front courtesy lamp
is in the "permanent lighting"
position, the rear courtesy
lamp will also come on, unless it is in
the "permanently off" position.
To switch off the rear courtesy lamp,
place it in the "permanently off" posi-
tion.
Rear side reading lamps
W i t h t h e i g n i t i o n o n , t h e fi r s t p r e s s
of the reading lamp switch switches
on the reading lamp in "permanent
lighting" mode.
Following a second press, it comes
on:
- when the vehicle is unlocked,
- when the key is removed from the ignition,
- when a door is opened,
- when the remote control locking button is pressed, in order to
locate your vehicle.
It switches off gradually:
- when the vehicle is locked,
- when the ignition is switched on,
- 30 seconds after the last door is closed.
It switches off gradually:

Take care not to place anything in contact
with the courtesy lamps.
