Heated seats control
With the engine running, the front seats
can be heated separately.
Use the adjustment dial, placed on
the side of each front seat, to switch
o n a n d s e l e c t t h e l e v e l o f h e a t i n g r e -
quired:
0
: Off.
1
: Low.
2
: Medium.
3
: High.
H e a d r e s t r a i n t h e i g h t a n d a n g l e
a d j u s t m e n t
T o r a i s e t h e h e a d r e s t r a i n t , p u l l i t f o r -
wards and upwards at the same time.
To remove the head restraint, press
the lug A and pull the head restraint
upwards.
To put the head restraint back in
place, engage the head restraint
stems in the openings keeping them
in line with the seat back.
To lower the head restraint, press
the lug A and the head restraint at
the same time.
T o a d j u s t t h e a n g l e o f t h e h e a d r e -
straint, tilt its lower part forwards or
rearwards. T h e h e a d r e s t r a i n t i s fi t t e d w i t h
a frame with notches which
prevents it from lowering; this
is a safety device in case of
impact.
T h e a d j u s t m e n t i s c o r r e c t w h e n t h e u p p e r e d g e o f t h e h e a d r e s t r a i n t i s
l e v e l w i t h t h e t o p o f t h e h e a d .
Never drive with the head restraints
removed; they must be in place and
adjusted correctly.

Turn the dial to obtain the correct
lumbar position.

Check that nothing is preventing
t h e s e a t b a c k f r o m f o l d i n g ( h e a d r e -
s t r a i n t , s e a t b e l t s , . . . ) ,
c h e c k a l s o t h a t n o o b j e c t o n o r u n -
d e r t h e s e a t c o u l d h i n d e r i t s m o v e -
ment,
pull the control from the boot.
REAR SEATS
N e v e r d r i v e w i t h r e a r p a s s e n -
gers when the head restraints
a r e r e m o v e d ; t h e h e a d r e -
straints must be in place and in the
high position.
R e a r h e a d r e s t r a i n t s
T h e s e h a v e a h i g h p o s i t i o n ( c o m f o r t
a n d s a f e t y ) a n d a l o w p o s i t i o n ( r e a r v i s -
i b i l i t y ) .
They can also be removed.
To remove a head restraint:
pull the head restraint fully upwards,
then, press the lug A .
B e n c h s e a t t h e l e f t - h a n d ( 2 / 3 ) o r r i g h t -
h a n d ( 1 / 3 ) s e c t i o n o f w h i c h c a n b e f o l d -
ed to adapt the boot load space.

Rear parcel shelf To fold it:
unhook the two cords,
fold it concertina-style to the rear
seats.
To remove it:
fold the rear parcel shelf as de-
scribed above,
u n c l i p t h e fi x i n g s o n t h e l e f t a n d o n
the right by pushing gently,
place your hands as shown on the
illustration then pull the assembly
towards you, To store it at the bottom of the boot:
remove the rear parcel shelf as de-
scribed above,
p l a c e t h e fl o o r a t a n a n g l e ,
place the rear parcel shelf in its lo-
cation (recess marked A ), at bottom
of the boot,
the rear parcel shelf will be protect-
e d i f y o u p l a c e t h e fl o o r i n t h e i n t e r -
mediate position.
This consists of three sections which
can be folded back on each other.
To put it back in place:
take hold of the rear parcel shelf
with both hands then place it on its
support,
unfold it to the boot pillars,
hook the two cords,
if necessary, press on the top of the
rear parcel shelf, on the left and on
t h e r i g h t , t o e n g a g e t h e fi x i n g s .

When changing a wheel
The hooks permit easy access
to the spare wheel by retain-
ing the boot carpet by means of the
two cords.
The hooks permit the securing of
shopping bags.
Hooks
In order to connect a 12 V accessory
(max power: 120 Watts), remove
the cap and connect the appropriate
adaptor.
Turn the key to the ignition position.

Hooked onto the stowing rings on the
m o v a b l e b o o t fl o o r , t h i s e n a b l e s y o u t o
secure your luggage.
Observe the loads indicated on the side
of the boot, in accordance with the posi-
t i o n o f t h e m o v a b l e fl o o r .
For safety reasons in case of sharp
braking, we recommend that heavy ob-
j e c t s a r e p l a c e d o n t h e fl o o r a s c l o s e a s
possible to the back of the rear seats.

For the airbags to be fully
effective, observe the
following safety rules:
Sit in a normal upright position.
W e a r a c o r r e c t l y a d j u s t e d s e a t b e l t .
Do not leave anything between the
occupants and the airbags (a child,
p e t , o b j e c t . . . ) . T h i s c o u l d h a m p e r t h e
o p e r a t i o n o f t h e a i r b a g s o r i n j u r e t h e
occupants.
After an accident or if the vehicle has
been stolen or broken into, have the
airbag systems checked.
All work on the airbag system is strict-
ly forbidden unless it is carried out by
q u a l i fi e d p e r s o n n e l o f t h e P E U G E O T
dealer network.
Even if all of the precautions men-
t i o n e d a r e o b s e r v e d , a r i s k o f i n j u r y
or of minor burns to the head, chest
or arms when an airbag is triggered
c a n n o t b e r u l e d o u t . T h e b a g i n fl a t e s
almost instantly (within a few mil-
l i s e c o n d s ) t h e n d e fl a t e s w i t h i n t h e
same time discharging the hot gas
via openings provided for this pur-
pose. Front airbags
Do not drive holding the steering
wheel by its spokes or resting your
hands on the centre part of the
wheel.
Passengers must not place their feet
on the dashboard.
If possible, do not smoke as deploy-
ment of the airbags can cause burns
o r t h e r i s k o f i n j u r y f r o m a c i g a r e t t e
or pipe.
Never remove or pierce the steering
wheel or hit it violently.
Lateral airbags
Use only approved covers on the seats.
T h e s e w i l l n o t h i n d e r i n fl a t i o n o f t h e
lateral airbags. Consult a PEUGEOT
dealer.
D o n o t fi x o r a t t a c h a n y t h i n g t o t h e
seat backs (clothing...). This could
c a u s e i n j u r y t o t h e c h e s t o r a r m s i f
the lateral airbag is triggered.
Do not sit with the upper part of the
body any nearer to the door than
necessary.
Curtain airbags
D o n o t fi x o r a t t a c h a n y t h i n g t o t h e
r o o f . T h i s c o u l d c a u s e i n j u r y t o t h e
head if the curtain airbag is trig-
gered.
Do not remove the grab handles in-
stalled on the roof, they play a part in
securing the curtain airbags.
