h e i g h t o f t h e fl o o r m o r e e a s i l y . Intermediate position (100 kg max). High position (50 kg max) w

tailgate closed to isolate the lower part
of the boot.
F r o m t h e h i g h p o s i t i o n , p l a c e t h e fl o o r
in this position (at an angle), two stops
support it to allow access underneath it
or to the spare wheel.

shopping bags.
Hooks
In order to connect a 12 V accessory
(max power: 120 Watts), remove
the cap and connect the appropriate
adaptor.
Turn the key to the ignition position.

Observe the loads indicated on the side
of the boot, in accordance with the posi-

For safety reasons in case of sharp
braking, we recommend that heavy ob-
j e c t s a r e p l a c e d o n t h e fl o o r a s c l o s e a s
possible to the back of the rear seats.

TYRE UNDER-INFLATION DETECTION
System which automatically checks the
pressure of the tyres while driving. All repairs and changing of
t y r e s o n a w h e e l fi t t e d w i t h t h i s
system must be carried out by
a PEUGEOT dealer.
If, when changing a tyre, you install
a wheel which is not detected by
y o u r v e h i c l e ( e x a m p l e : fi t t i n g o f s n o w
tyres), you must have the system re-
initialised by a PEUGEOT dealer.
This system does not eliminate
the need to have the tyre pres-
sure checked regularly (refer
t o t h e " I d e n t i fi c a t i o n m a r k i n g s " p a r a -
graph) to ensure that the optimum
dynamic performance of the vehicle
is maintained and prevent premature
wear of the tyres, particularly in ardu-
ous driving conditions (heavy load,
high speed).
The tyre pressures must be checked
cold, at least once a month. Re-
member to check the pressure of the
spare wheel.
T h e t y r e u n d e r - i n fl a t i o n d e t e c t i o n
system may experience temporary
interference due to radioelectric
emissions on a frequency close to
that used by the system.
S e n s o r s fi t t e d i n e a c h v a l v e t r i g g e r a
warning in the event of malfunction
(speed above 12 mph (20 km/h)).
T h e s p a r e w h e e l i s n o t fi t t e d w i t h a s e n s o r .
This warning lamp is displayed on the
instrument panel and/or a message ap-
pears on the multifunction screen, ac-
companied by an audible signal, to locate
the wheel concerned.
Check the tyre pressures as soon as possible.
This check must be carried out when the tyres are
cold.
Flat tyre The
STOP warning lamp
comes on, accompanied by
an audible signal and a mes-
sage on the multifunction
screen locating the wheel
concerned.
Stop immediately, avoiding any sud-
den movement of the steering wheel
and the brakes.
Change the damaged wheel (punc-
t u r e d o r v e r y d e fl a t e d t y r e ) , a n d
have the tyre pressure checked as
soon as possible.
Puncture
T h e t y r e u n d e r - i n fl a t i o n d e t e c -
tion system is an aid to driv-
ing which does not replace the
need for the driver to be vigilant or to
drive responsibly. Sensor(s) not detected or faulty
A message appears on the multifunc-
tion screen, accompanied by an audible
signal, to locate the wheel or wheels
which are not detected or to indicate a
fault in the system.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer to replace
the faulty sensor(s).
This message is also dis-
played when one of the wheels
is away from the vehicle (be-
ing repaired) or when one or more
w h e e l s w i t h o u t a s e n s o r a r e fi t t e d .

Access to the spare wheel
The spare wheel is installed in the boot
u n d e r t h e fl o o r .

Unscrew the yellow central bolt by a
few turns then put it in place in the

Tighten fully until the central bolt

Parking the vehicle

Apply the parking brake unless it
has been programmed to automatic

Check that the braking warning lamp
and the P w a r n i n g l a m p o n t h e p a r k -
i n g b r a k e c o n t r o l c o m e o n .
I f n e c e s s a r y , p l a c e a c h o c k u n d e r t h e
wheel diagonally opposite the wheel
t o b e c h a n g e d .
The occupants must get out of the
vehicle and wait where they are
s a f e .
Never go underneath a vehicle raised
u s i n g a j a c k ; u s e a n a x l e s t a n d .
Removing a wheel
List of operations
Remove the chromed bolt cover
from each of the bolts using the
tool 3 ( a c c o r d i n g t o e q u i p m e n t ) .
F i t t h e s e c u r i t y s o c k e t 5 on the
wheelbrace 1 to slacken the security
b o l t .
Slacken the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 o n l y .
Place the jack 2 in contact with one
of the two front A or rear B locations
p r o v i d e d o n t h e u n d e r b o d y , w h i c h -
ever is closest to the wheel to be
c h a n g e d .
E x t e n d t h e j a c k 2 until its base plate
i s i n c o n t a c t w i t h t h e g r o u n d . E n s u r e
that the centreline of the jack base
plate is directly below the location A
or B u s e d .
R a i s e t h e v e h i c l e u n t i l t h e r e i s s u f -
fi c i e n t s p a c e b e t w e e n t h e w h e e l a n d
the ground to admit the spare (not
p u n c t u r e d ) w h e e l e a s i l y .
Remove the bolts and store them in
a c l e a n p l a c e .
R e m o v e t h e w h e e l .

Fitting the "space-saver"
spare wheel

o n fi t t i n g i t i s n o r m a l t o n o t i c e t h a t t h e
washers do not come into contact
w i t h t h e " s p a c e - s a v e r " s p a r e w h e e l .
The wheel is secured by the conical
c o n t a c t o f e a c h b o l t .
Fitting a wheel

Put the wheel in place on the hub
using the centring guide 4 .
Screw in the bolts by hand to the
s t o p .
P r e - t i g h t e n t h e s e c u r i t y b o l t u s i n g
the wheelbrace 1 fi t t e d w i t h t h e
security socket 5 .
P r e - t i g h t e n t h e o t h e r b o l t s u s i n g t h e
wheelbrace 1 o n l y .
L o w e r t h e v e h i c l e f u l l y .
F o l d t h e j a c k 2 a n d d e t a c h i t .
Tighten the security bolt using the
wheelbrace 1 fi t t e d w i t h t h e s e c u r i t y
socket 5 .
Tighten the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 o n l y .
R e fi t t h e c h r o m e d b o l t c o v e r s o n
each of the bolts (according to
e q u i p m e n t ) .
S t o r e t h e t o o l s i n t h e b o x .
After changing a wheel
To store the punctured wheel in the
b o o t c o r r e c t l y , fi r s t r e m o v e t h e c e n t r a l
c o v e r .
W h e n u s i n g t h e " s p a c e - s a v e r " t y p e
s p a r e w h e e l , d o n o t e x c e e d 5 0 m p h
( 8 0 k m / h ) .
Have the tightening of the bolts and
the pressure of the spare wheel
c h e c k e d b y a P E U G E O T d e a l e r w i t h -
o u t d e l a y .
Have the punctured wheel repaired
and replace it on the vehicle as soon
a s p o s s i b l e .
