Installing a booster seat
T h e c h e s t p a r t o f t h e s e a t b e l t m u s t

E n s u r e t h a t t h e l a p p a r t o f t h e s e a t
b e l t p a s s e s c o r r e c t l y o v e r t h e c h i l d ’ s
thighs.
PEUGEOT recommends the use of
a b o o s t e r s e a t w h i c h h a s a b a c k , i t -
t e d w i t h a s e a t b e l t g u i d e a t s h o u l -
der level. A s a s a f e t y p r e c a u t i o n , d o n o t
l e a v e :
- one or more children alone and
u n s u p e r v i s e d i n a v e h i c l e ,
- a child or an animal in a vehi- c l e w h i c h i s e x p o s e d t o t h e s u n ,
w i t h t h e w i n d o w s c l o s e d ,
- t h e k e y s w i t h i n r e a c h o f c h i l d r e n inside the vehicle.

unless the rear seats are already
o c c u p i e d b y o t h e r c h i l d r e n , c a n n o t
be used or are absent.
D i s a r m t h e p a s s e n g e r a i r b a g w h e n
a "rear facing" child seat is installed
o n t h e f r o n t s e a t . O t h e r w i s e , t h e
c h i l d w o u l d r i s k b e i n g s e r i o u s l y i n -
j u r e d o r k i l l e d i f t h e a i r b a g w e r e t o
i n l a t e .
The incorrect installation of a child
s e a t i n a v e h i c l e c o m p r o m i s e s t h e
c h i l d ’ s p r o t e c t i o n i n t h e e v e n t o f a n
accident.
Remember to fasten the seat belts
or the child seat harnesses
keeping
the slack in relation to the child’s
b o d y t o a m i n i m u m , e v e n f o r s h o r t
j o u r n e y s .
F o r o p t i m u m i n s t a l l a t i o n o f t h e " f o r -
w a r d f a c i n g " c h i l d s e a t , e n s u r e t h a t
the back of the child seat is in con-
t a c t w i t h t h e b a c k o f t h e v e h i c l e ’ s
seat and that the head restraint
does not cause any discomfort.
If the head restraint has to be re-
m o v e d , e n s u r e t h a t i t i s s t o r e d o r
a t t a c h e d s e c u r e l y t o p r e v e n t i t f r o m
b e i n g t h r o w n a r o u n d t h e v e h i c l e i n
t h e e v e n t o f s h a r p b r a k i n g .

Deadlocking

unlock your vehicle, without you being aware of it.
The remote control does not operate when the key is in th e ignition,
even when the ignition is switched off, except for reprogr amming.
Do not operate the deadlocking function if there is anyone inside the
vehicle.
Driving with the doors locked may make access to the pa ssenger
c o m p a r t m e n t b y t h e e m e r g e n c y s e r v i c e s m o r e d i f i c u l t i n a n
emergency.
As a safety precaution (with children on board), remove th e ignition
key when you leave the vehicle, even for a short time.
Do not repeatedly press the button of your remote control o ut of range
and out of sight of your vehicle. You run the risk of stop ping it from
working and the remote control would have to be reprogr ammed.

Make a careful note of the number on each key. The key n umber is
coded on the label attached to the key.
If the keys are lost, your PEUGEOT dealer can rapidly sup ply you with
new keys.
The high frequency remote control is a sensitive system; do not
operate it while it is in your pocket as there is a poss ibility that it may
unlock your vehicle, without you being aware of it.
The remote control does not operate when the key is in th e ignition,
even when the ignition is switched off, except for reprogr amming.
Do not operate the deadlocking function if there is anyone inside the
vehicle.
Driving with the doors locked may make access to the pa ssenger
c o m p a r t m e n t b y t h e e m e r g e n c y s e r v i c e s m o r e d i f i c u l t i n a n
emergency.
As a safety precaution (with children on board), remove th e ignition
key when you leave the vehicle, even for a short time.
Do not repeatedly press the button of your remote control o ut of range
and out of sight of your vehicle. You run the risk of stop ping it from
working and the remote control would have to be reprogr ammed.
When purchasing a second-hand vehicle:
- e n s u r e t h a t y o u a r e g i v e n t h e c o n i d e n t i a l c a r d ;
- have the key codes memorised by a PEUGEOT dealer, to ens ure
that the keys in your possession are the only ones whic h can
start the vehicle.
