Manual exterior mirrors Move the lever in all four directions to adjust. When the vehicle is parked, the exte- rior mirrors can be folded back
manually.INTERIOR MIRROR The interior mirror has two positions: -
day (normal),
- night (anti-dazzle).
To change from one to the other, push or pull the lever on the loweredge.

The exterior mirror on the driver's side is convex(outer edge defined by adotted line) in order to eli-minate the "blind spot".
As a result, objects observed inthe driver's and passenger's mir-rors are in reality closer than they
appear. This must be taken into account to correctly judge the distance ofvehicles approaching frombehind.
SUN VISOR WITH
ILLUMINATED COURTESYMIRROR With the ignition on, the mirror is automatically illuminated when theflap is opened.
TOLL CARD / CAR PARK TICKET ZONES The athermic windscreen has two non-reflective zones located either
side of the base of the interior mirror.
They are intended for affixing toll cards and/or car park tickets.

CHECKING THE LEVELS Oil level Check the level regularly and top
up between changes. The maxi-mum consumption is 0.5 l per 1000 km. Check the level with the vehicle level, engine cold, using the oillevel gauge on the instrumentpanel or the dipstick.
Dipstick
There are two marks onthe dipstick : A= maximum
Never fill past this mark.B = minimum
To maintain the reliability of engines and emissioncontrol systems, the useof additives in engine oilis prohibited.
Oil change According to the information given in
"PEUGEOT SERVICING" .
WARNING: avoid used oil from
coming into prolonged contact withthe skin.Viscosity selection In all cases, the oil selected must meet the manufacturer's require-ments. Brake fluid level:
- The level must always be between the DANGER and MAXIMUM
marks in the reservoir.
- If the level drops substantially, contact a PEUGEOT dealer imme-
diately.
Fluid change:
- must be carried out according to the manufacturer's servicing sche- dule,
- use fluids approved by the manu- facturer, which fulfil DOT4 stan-dards.
WARNING: brake and clutch fluid is
harmful to health and very corrosive.
Avoid all contact with the skin. Cooling system Use the fluid approved by the manu-
facturer. When the engine is warm, the tem- perature of the coolant is controlled
by the engine fan. As this fan canoperate with the ignition key remo-ved and because the cooling systemis pressurised, wait for at least onehour after the engine has stoppedbefore carrying out any work. Slacken the cap to the first notch torelease the pressure to prevent anyrisk of scalding. When the pressurehas dropped, remove the cap andtop up the level. Note :
the coolant does not need to
be changed. Used oil Do not dispose of used oil, brake fluid or coolant into drains or into theground. Power steering reservoir Open the reservoir, with the engi-
ne at ambient temperature. Thelevel should always be above theMIN. mark and close to the MAX.mark.
Windscreen wash reservoir For best quality cleaning and for your
safety, we recommend that you useproducts approved by PEUGEOT(reservoir capacity 3.5 litres).

CHANGING A WINDSCREEN WIPER BLADE Placing the wiper blades in the maintenance position Within one minute of switching
off the ignition, operate thewipers stalk to position the wiperblades in the centre of the wind-screen (maintenance position).
Changing a wiper blade Lift the wiper arm, then unclip the blade and remove it.
Fit the new blade and push backthe arm.
Note : the shortest blade is fitted on
the vehicle's right-hand windscreenwiper arm.
To return the windscreen wipers to their normal position, switch onthe ignition and operate the wiperstalk. ECONOMY MODE FUNCTION After the engine has stopped, certain functions (windscreen wipers, elec-tric windows, panoramic roofconcealing flap, courtesy lights,audio equipment etc.) can only beused for thirty minutes, to prevent
discharging the battery.
Once the thirty minutes are over, the message
"Economy mode active"
appears on the multi-function displayand the active functions are put on
standby.
To resume use of these functions, start the engine and let it run for afew seconds. LOAD REDUCTION When driving, certain functions (air conditioning, heated rear screen,heating system for passenger com-partment of diesel vehicles, etc.)
may be switched off temporarily,depending on the level of batterycharge. Reactivation of these functions is automatic, once the battery charge is
sufficient. Note:
at the risk of discharging the
battery, the functions that have been
switched off may be reactivated
manually.

Ð the wheel and tyre sizes,
Ð the brands of tyres approved by the manufacturer,
Ð the tyre pressures (the tyre pressure must be checked when the tyre is cold, at least once a month),
Ð the paint colour reference.
