"SETUP" menu
Press the "SETUP" button for ac-
cess to the "SETUP" menu. This al-
lows you to select from the following
functions:
- "Languages",
- "Date and time",
- "Display",
- "Vehicle parameters",
- "Units",
- "System".
L a n g u a g e s
This menu allows you to select the lan-
guage used by the display: Deutsch,
English, Espanol, Français, Italiano,
Nederlands, Polski, Portugues, Türkçe * .
Date and time
This menu allows you to set the date
and time, the format of the date and the
format of the time (refer to the "Audio
and Telematics" section or to the specif-
ic user guide given to you with the other
owner's documents). * According to country.
Display
This menu allows you to set the bright-
ness of the screen, the screen colour
scheme and the colour of the map (day/
night or auto mode).
Vehicle parameters
This menu allows you to activate or
deactivate certain driving and comfort
equipment (according to country):
- wiper linked with reverse gear (refer
to the "Visibility" section),
- selective unlocking (refer to the "Access" section),
- guide-me-home and welcome light- ing (refer to the "Visibility" section),
- interior mood lighting (refer to the "Visibility" section),
- daytime running lamps (refer to the "Visibility" section),
- directional headlamps (refer to the "Visibility" section),
- automatic or manual parking brake (refer to the "Driving" section),
- ...
Units
This menu allows you to select the
units: temperature (°C or °F) and fuel
consumption (km/l, l/100 or mpg). F o r s a f e t y r e a s o n s , c o n fi g u -
ration of the multifunction
screen by the driver must only
be done when stationary.
System
This menu allows you to restore the fac-
t o r y c o n fi g u r a t i o n , d i s p l a y t h e s o f t w a r e
version and activate scrolling text.

TRIP COMPUTER
Press the button, located at the end
of the wiper stalk , to display the
various items of trip computer data
in succession. The trip computer provides the following
information:
System which provides current informa-
tion concerning the trip travelled (range,
fuel consumption...).
Press the control for more than
two seconds to reset to zero the dis-
tance travelled, the average fuel con-
sumption and the average speed.
Zero reset
Data displays - range,
- current fuel consumption,
- distance travelled,
- average fuel consumption,
- average speed.
The next press then returns you to
the normal display.

Press this button to demist/defrost
the rear screen and the door mir-
rors. The indicator lamp associated
with the button comes on.

The demist/defrost switches off auto-
matically to prevent an excessive con-
sumption of current.
It is possible to stop the demist/
defrost operation before it is switched
off automatically by pressing the but-
ton again. The indicator lamp associ-
ated with the button switches off.
5 . A i r c o n d i t i o n i n g O n / O f f
The air conditioning is de-
signed to operate effectively in
all seasons, with the windows
closed.
It enables you to:
- lower the temperature, in summer,
- increase the effectiveness of the demisting in winter, above 0 °C.

O p e n i n g t h e c a p m a y t r i g g e r a n i n -
rush of air. This vacuum, which is
c o m p l e t e l y n o r m a l , i s c a u s e d b y t h e
sealing of the fuel system.
FUEL TANK
Capacity of the tank: approximately
60 litres. T o fi l l t h e t a n k s a f e l y :
it is essential that the engine is
switched off,
o p e n t h e f u e l fi l l e r fl a p ,
insert the key in the cap, then turn it
to the left,
When refueling is complete:
p u t t h e c a p b a c k i n p l a c e ,
turn the key to the right, then remove
it from the cap,
c l o s e t h e fi l l e r fl a p .
remove the cap and secure it on the
hook, located on the inside of the
fl a p ,
fi l l t h e t a n k , b u t do not continue af-
ter the 3rd cut-off of the nozzle ;
this could cause malfunctions.
Low fuel level
Operating fault
A malfunction of the fuel gauge is indi-
c a t e d b y t h e r e t u r n t o z e r o o f t h e f u e l
level indicator needle.

Refueling
A l a b e l a f fi x e d t o t h e i n s i d e o f t h e fi l l e r
fl a p r e m i n d s y o u o f t h e t y p e o f f u e l t o b e
used according to your engine.
M o r e t h a n 5 l i t r e s o f f u e l m u s t b e a d d -
e d i n o r d e r t o b e r e g i s t e r e d b y t h e f u e l
gauge. When the fuel tank minimum
level is reached, this warning
lamp comes on on the instru-
m e n t p a n e l , a c c o m p a n i e d b y a n
a u d i b l e s i g n a l a n d a m e s s a g e
on the multifunction screen.
W h e n t h e l a m p fi r s t c o m e s o n , y o u h a v e
approximately 6 litres of fuel remaining.
You must refuel to avoid run-
ning out of fuel.
If you run out of fuel (Diesel), re-
fer also to the "Checks" section.

Quality of the fuel used for petrol engines
The petrol engines are perfectly com-
p a t i b l e w i t h E 1 0 t y p e p e t r o l b i o f u e l s
(containing 10 % ethanol), conforming
to European standards EN 228 and
EN 15376.
E85 type fuels (containing up to 85 %
ethanol) are reserved exclusively for ve-
hicles marketed for the use of this type
of fuel (BioFlex vehicles). The quality of
the ethanol must comply with European
standard EN 15293.
F o r B r a z i l o n l y , s p e c i a l v e h i c l e s a r e
marketed to run on fuels containing up
to 100 % ethanol (E100 type).
Quality of the fuel used for Diesel engines
The Diesel engines are perfectly com-
p a t i b l e w i t h b i o f u e l s w h i c h c o n f o r m t o
current and future European standards
(Diesel fuel which complies with stand-
a r d E N 5 9 0 m i x e d w i t h a b i o f u e l w h i c h
complies with standard EN 14214)
a v a i l a b l e a t t h e p u m p s ( c o n t a i n i n g u p
to 7 % Fatty Acid Methyl Ester).
T h e B 3 0 b i o f u e l c a n b e u s e d i n c e r -
tain Diesel engines; however, this use
i s s u b j e c t t o s t r i c t a p p l i c a t i o n o f t h e
special servicing conditions. Consult a
P E U G E O T d e a l e r .
T h e u s e o f a n y o t h e r t y p e o f ( b i o ) f u e l
( v e g e t a b l e o r a n i m a l o i l s , p u r e o r d i l u t -
e d , d o m e s t i c f u e l . . . ) i s s t r i c t l y p r o h i b i t e d
(risk of damage to the engine and fuel
system).

All-terrain mode (mud, wet grass, ...)
Mode which, when moving off allows
considerable spin on the wheel with
the least grip to optimise clearing of the
mud and regain grip. At the same time,
the wheel with the most grip is control-
led in such a way as to pass as much
torque as possible.
When moving, the system optimises
wheel spin to respond to the driver’s re-
quirements as fully as possible. Sand mode
Mode which allows little spin on the two
driving wheels at the same time to allow
the vehicle to move forward and limit
the risks of getting stuck in the sand.
Driving advice
Your vehicle is designed princi-
pally to drive on tarmac roads
but it allows you to drive on other less
passable terrain occasionally.
However, it does not permit all-
terrain activities such as:
- crossing and driving on terrain which could damage the under-
frame or strip away components
(fuel pipe, fuel cooler, ...) due to
obstacles or stones in particular,
- driving on terrain with steep gra- dients and poor grip,
- crossing a stream.

As a safety precaution and to fa-
cilitate starting of the engine:
Only engage reverse gear
when the vehicle is stationary
with the engine at idle.
Engaging reverse gear
Raise the ring under the knob and
push the gear lever to the left then
forwards.

GEAR SHIFT INDICATOR *
System which reduces fuel consumption
by advising the driver to change up on
v e h i c l e s fi t t e d w i t h a m a n u a l g e a r b o x .
Operation
The system intervenes only when driv-
ing economically.
Depending on the driving situation and
your vehicle's equipment, the system
may advise you to skip one or more
gears. You can follow this instruc-
tion without engaging the intermediate
gears.
The gear engagement recommenda-
tions must not be considered compulso-
r y . I n f a c t , t h e c o n fi g u r a t i o n o f t h e r o a d ,
t h e a m o u n t o f t r a f fi c a n d s a f e t y r e m a i n
determining factors when choosing the
best gear. Therefore, the driver remains
responsible for deciding whether or not to
follow the advice given by the system.
This function cannot be deactivated. Example:
- You are in third gear.
In the case of driving which
makes particular demands on
the performance of the engine
( fi r m p r e s s u r e o n t h e a c c e l e r a t o r p e dal,
for example, when overtaking...), the
system will not recommend a gear
change.
The system never suggests:
- e n g a g i n g fi r s t g e a r ,
- engaging reverse gear,
- engaging a lower gear. - You press the accelerator pedal
moderately.
- The system may suggest that you engage a higher gear, if appropriate.
The information appears in the form of
an arrow on the instrument panel dis-
play.
Depending on your vehicle's equipment,
this arrow may be accompanied by the
recommended gear.
This equipment will become available
during the year.
