To avoid damaging the electrical
units, the use of a high pressure
washer in the engine compartment
is strictly prohibited .
Brake disc wear status
Brake pads Handbrake
Brake wear depends on the
style of driving, particularly in
the case of vehicles used in
town, over short distances. It
may be necessary to have the
condition of the brakes checked, even
between vehicle services.
Unless there is a leak in the circuit, a
d r o p i n t h e b r a k e fl u i d l e v e l i n d i c a t e s
that the brake pads are worn. For information relating to
checking the brake disc wear
status, contact a PEUGEOT
dealer.
If the handbrake travel is too
long or if a loss of effectiveness
of this system is noticed, the
handbrake must be adjusted,
even between two services.
This system must be checked by a
PEUGEOT dealer.
Manual gearbox
The gearbox does not re-
quire any maintenance (no oil
change).
Refer to the servicing book-
let for the details of the level
checking interval for this com-

PUNCTURE REPAIR KIT Using the kit
The puncture repair kit is located in the

the tool box, located under the storage
b o x .
Tick the wheel to be repaired on the
speed limitation sticker enclosed

steering wheel to remind you that a
w h e e l i s i n t e m p o r a r y u s e .
Clip the bottle 1 on the compressor 2 .
Check that the switch A is tilted to
position "0" .
Connect the pipe of the bottle 1 to
t h e v a l v e o f t h e t y r e t o b e r e p a i r e d .
Connect the pipe of the compressor
2 t o t h e b o t t l e .
C o n n e c t t h e c o m p r e s s o r ’ s e l e c t r i c

the bottle in the plastic bag, supplied

D r i v e i m m e d i a t e l y f o r a p p r o x i m a t e l y
two miles (three kilometres), at re-
duced speed (between 10 and 35 mph
[ 2 0 a n d 6 0 k m / h ] ) , t o fi l l t h e p u n c t u r e .
Stop to check the repair and the
p r e s s u r e .
Connect the compressor pipe directly
t o t h e v a l v e o f t h e r e p a i r e d w h e e l .
Switch on the compressor by tilting
the switch A to position "1" until the
t y r e p r e s s u r e r e a c h e s 2 . 0 b a r s . I f t h i s p r e s s u r e h a s n o t b e e n
reached after approximately three
minutes, the tyre cannot be re-
paired; contact a PEUGEOT dealer
t o h a v e y o u r v e h i c l e r e p a i r e d .

CHANGING A WHEEL
Procedure for changing a faulty wheel
for the spare wheel using the tools pro-
v i d e d w i t h t h e v e h i c l e .
The tools are installed in the boot under
t h e fl o o r .

open the boot,

secure it by hooking its handle on
the boot seal,

Fixing the steel spare wheel
I f y o u r v e h i c l e i s fi t t e d w i t h a l l o y
wheels, it is normal to notice, when
t i g h t e n i n g t h e b o l t s o n fi t t i n g , t h a t
the washers do not come into con-
t a c t w i t h t h e s t e e l s p a r e w h e e l . T h e
wheel is secured by the conical
c o n t a c t o f e a c h b o l t .
Access to the spare wheel
The spare wheel is installed in the boot
u n d e r t h e fl o o r .
A c c o r d i n g t o c o u n t r y , t h e s p a r e w h e e l
m a y b e s t e e l o r a l l o y .
To gain access to it, refer to the paragraph
" A c c e s s t o t h e t o o l s " o n t h e p r e v i o u s
p a g e .
Taking out the wheel
U n s c r e w t h e y e l l o w c e n t r a l b o l t .
Raise the spare wheel towards you
f r o m t h e r e a r .
T a k e t h e w h e e l o u t o f t h e b o o t .
Putting the wheel back in place
P u t t h e w h e e l b a c k i n i t s h o u s i n g .
Unscrew the yellow central bolt by a
few turns then put it in place in the
c e n t r e o f t h e w h e e l .
Tighten fully until the central bolt
c l i c k s t o r e t a i n t h e w h e e l c o r r e c t l y .
Put the box back in place in the centre
o f t h e w h e e l a n d c l i p i t .

each of the bolts using the tool 3 .
Fit the anti-theft socket 5 on the
wheelbrace 1 to unlock the anti-theft
b o l t .
Unlock the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 o n l y .
P l a c e t h e j a c k 2 in contact with one
of the two front A or rear B locations
p r o v i d e d o n t h e u n d e r f r a m e , w h i c h -
e v e r i s c l o s e s t t o t h e w h e e l t o b e
c h a n g e d .
E x t e n d t h e j a c k 2 until its base plate
i s i n c o n t a c t w i t h t h e g r o u n d . E n s u r e
t h a t t h e c e n t r e l i n e o f t h e j a c k b a s e
plate is directly below the location A
or B u s e d .

Handle the bulbs using a dry
c l o t h .
T h e h e a d l a m p s a r e fi t t e d w i t h p o l y -
carbonate lenses, coated with a
p r o t e c t i v e v a r n i s h :
do not clean them with a dry
or abrasive cloth or using a
detergent or solvent product,
use a sponge and soapy water,
when using a high pressure
washer on stubborn dirt, do not
spend too long on the head-
lamps, lights and their surrounds
