FAMILIARISATION Welcome lighting
This additional exterior and interior light-
ing, controlled remotely, makes your
approach to the vehicle easier when the
light is poor.

OPEN
Retractable roof The operation of the roof is the ex-
clusive responsibility of the driver.
To avoid any risk of injury when
operating the roof, ensure that no
one is standing near the moving
parts.
You are strongly advised not to op-
erate the roof in strong winds. When washing your vehicle:
- lock the vehicle using the re-
mote control or the key,
- avoid spraying the upper part of the windows,
- keep the end of the high pres- sure nozzle at least 1 metre
from the windows and door
seals.
When the vehicle has been
washed or after rain, wait until the
roof has dried before opening it. It is preferable to operate the roof
with the engine running and the
vehicle stationary.
The roof can be operated at a
speed below 6 mph (10 km/h).
After the roof has been operated
fully four times in succession, the
system switches to protection
mode temporarily to avoid dam-
age to the roof motors. Let the
system rest for approximately ten
minutes; if you are unable to oper-
ate the roof after this time, contact
a PEUGEOT dealer.
Preliminary conditions
Switch on the ignition.
Make absolutely sure that:
- the vehicle is not in energy econo- my mode (refer to the correspond-
ing section),
- t h e b a t t e r y v o l t a g e i s s u f fi c i e n t (switching on of the roof control
indicator light),
- the roof fuse is in good condition (re- fer to the corresponding section),
- the electric windows are initialised (see corresponding section),
- the exterior temperature is higher than -15 °C.
Precautions to be taken before
operating the roof
Park the vehicle on level ground.
Check that no objects could hinder
the operation of the roof:
- nothing should be placed on the moving rear shelf 1 , on the boot
screen 2 or on the side trims 3 ,
- if luggage is transported in the boot, it must not lift the boot
screen,
- any objects, such as a jacket or umbrella, placed in the boot, must
be secured using the luggage re-
taining net 4 .
Check that the boot screen 2 is se-

Close the boot correctly.

Pull this control until the roof
opening operation is com-
plete.
Closing the roof
Press this control until the
roof closing operation is
complete.

- the four windows lower partially,
- the boot opens,
- the roof folds into the boot,
- the boot closes.
C h a n g e t o " c o u p é " c o n fi g u r a t i o n :
- the four windows lower partially,
- the boot opens,
- the roof unfolds and locks automati- cally,
- the boot closes.
To ensure that the roof operates cor-
rectly, do not release the control while
the roof is moving.
However, in the event of any danger,
release the control, the roof stops; then,
once the danger had been eliminated,
complete the movement required.
Operating fault
If a malfunction of the roof occurs,
apply the handbrake, switch off
the ignition, start the engine again,
then start the operation required
again.
If the problem persists, contact a
PEUGEOT dealer. The electric window controls and
the control for all four windows are
deactivated while the roof is in op-
eration.

If you continue to pull or press this
control after the end of the ma-
noeuvre, the four windows rise.
The roof’s electronic control unit may
stop the manoeuvre in progress as
a precaution (example: door move-
ment and roof manoeuvre in quick
succession). In this case, release
the control then operate it again to
complete the required manoeuvre.

De-icing - Demisting The symbols on the control panel indicate
the position of the controls for rapid de-icing
or demisting of the windscreen and side
windows:
place the air intake control 4 in the
" E x t e r i o r a i r i n t a k e " p o s i t i o n ( i n d i c a t o r
light off),
place the air distribution dial 3 in the
" W i n d s c r e e n p o s i t i o n " ,
p l a c e t h e a i r fl o w d i a l 2 in position 5
(maximum),
place the temperature dial 1 in the
red position (hot),
close the central vents, The control button is located on
the heating or air conditioning
system control panel.
Switch off the de-icing of the
rear screen and exterior mir-
rors as soon as you consider
this necessary as lower current
consumption results in reduced
fuel consumption.
If the engine is switched off before
the de-icing is switched off auto-
matically, de-icing will resume next
time the engine is switched on.
The de-icing is deactivated when
the retractable roof is stored in the
boot.

The rear screen de-icing can only
operate when the engine is running.

5. Air conditioning On/Off
The air conditioning is de-
signed to operate effectively in
all seasons, with the windows
closed.
It enables you to:
- lower the temperature, in summer,
- increase the effectiveness of the de- misting in winter, above 0 °C.

Press the "A/C" button, the associ-
ated indicator light comes on.

Engage the shafts of the windstop
frame in the openings in the rear
side trim so that the red indicators
are concealed.
W h e n i n s t a l l i n g t h e w i n d s t o p f o r t h e fi r s t
time:
position a size 10 open-ended span-
ner on the hexagonal part of the shaft,
tighten or slacken without forcing on
each side to adjust the depth setting.
Lastly, always check that the wind-
stop is retained securely before use
i n t h e " c a b r i o l e t " c o n fi g u r a t i o n .
Removal
Press and pull on the shaft supports
to release the shafts from the open-
ings in the rear side trim; the red
indicators then become visible. It is not necessary to remove the
windstop when operating the roof.

ACCESS
Unlocking and partially opening
the boot
BOOT Boot anti-theft protection
The boot is designed to remain impregna-
b l e , e v e n i n t h e " c a b r i o l e t " c o n fi g u r a t i o n , i f
the vehicle is locked.
So, when the vehicle is locked and
the roof is open, the boot cannot be
unlocked:
- by means of the interior door opening control,
- by pressing the manual centralised control A , when the key is not in the
ignition switch.
Opening
After unlocking the boot or the vehi-
cle using the remote control or the
key, press the opening control while
raising the tailgate.
When the selective unlocking is acti-
vated, the boot can be opened at the
second press of the unlocking button
on the remote control.
Press this button for more
than two seconds to un-
lock the boot. The boot
opens slightly.
This action also unlocks the doors.
If a battery failure occurs, the boot
is locked. Consult a PEUGEOT
dealer. Closing
Lower the tailgate using the interior
grab handle.
If the tailgate is not closed correctly: -
when the engine is running ,
this warning light comes on,
accompanied by a message
on the multifunction display
for a few seconds,
- when the vehicle is moving (speed
above 6 mph (10 km/h)), this warn-
ing light comes on, accompanied
by an audible signal and a message
on the multifunction display for a
few seconds.

Luggage retaining net
Raise the boot carpet to gain access
to the storage box.
Hook the boot carpet on the boot
seal using its handle.
This has areas for storing the windstop
and two warning triangles.
By removing this box you gain access
to the temporary tyre repair kit and the
tools.

When the boot screen is unfolded,
check that the luggage:
- n e v e r r a i s e s i t ,

The load space cover must always
be unfolded before a roof opening
manoeuvre is triggered (refer to the
" F a m i l i a r i s a t i o n - § O p e n i n g " s e c t i o n ) .
