PRACTICAL INFORMATION
SNOW CHAINS
In wintry conditions, snow chains im-
prove traction as well as the behaviour
of the vehicle when braking. The snow chains must be fi tted
only to the front wheels. They
must never be fi tted to "space-
saver" type spare wheels.
Take account of the legislation in
force in your country on the use
of snow chains and the maximum
running speed authorised. Advice on installation
 If you have to fi t the chains during
a journey, stop the vehicle on a fl at
surface on the side of the road.
 Apply the parking brake and posi- tion any wheel chocks to prevent
movement of your vehicle.
 Fit the chains following the instruc- tions provided by the manufacturer.
 Move off gently and drive for a few moments, without exceeding
30 mph (50 km/h).
 Stop your vehicle and check that the snow chains are correctly tightened.
Avoid driving on roads that have
been cleared of snow, to avoid
damaging your vehicle's tyres
and the road surface. It is recom-
mended that before you leave,
you practise fi tting the snow
chains on a level and dry surface.
If your vehicle is fi tted with alloy
wheels, check that no part of the
chain or its fi xings is in contact
with the wheel rim.
Use only the chains designed to be fi t-
ted to the type of wheel fi tted to your
vehicle:

Risk of electrocution
Xenon bulbs (D1S) must be re-
placed by a PEUGEOT dealer or a
qualifi ed workshop.
CHANGING A BULB
Model with halogen headlamps
1. Direction indicators (PY 21W amber).
2. Dipped beam headlamps (H7).
3. Main beam headlamps (H1).
4. Daytime running lamps / sidelamps (LEDs).
5. Foglamps (H8). 1. Direction indicators
(PY21W SV silver).
2. Directional dipped / main beam headlamps (D1S).
3. Additional main beam headlamps (H1).
4. Daytime running lamps / sidelamps (LEDs).

Model with xenon and directional
headlamps
The headlamps are fi tted with poly-
carbonate glass with a protective
coating:
 do not clean them using a dry
or abrasive cloth, nor with a
detergent or solvent product,
 use a sponge and soapy water or a pH neutral product,
 when using a high pressure washer on persistent marks, do
not keep the lance directed to-
wards the lamps or their edges
for too long, so as not to dam-
age their protective coating and
seals.
Front lamps
Changing a bulb should only be
done after the headlamp has been
switched off for a few minutes (risk
of serious burns).
 Do not touch the bulb directly with your fi ngers, use a lint-free
cloth.
It is imperative to use only anti-
ultraviolet (UV) type bulbs to avoid
damaging the headlamp.
Always replace a failed bulb with a
new bulb with the same type and
specifi cation.

Changing halogen main beam
headlamps or additional main beam
headlamps
Changing dipped beam headlamp
bulbs (only on models with halogen
headlamps)
Changing direction indicator
bulbs
Amber or silver coloured bulbs,
such as the direction indicators,
must be replaced with bulbs of
identical specifi cations and colour.
When refi tting, close the protective
cover carefully to assure the seal-
ing of the headlamp.
 Turn the bulb holder a quarter of a
turn and extract it.
 Pull the bulb out and change it.
To refi t, carry out these operations in re-
verse order.  Remove the protective cover by
pulling on the tab.
 Disconnect the bulb connector.
 Spread the springs to release the bulb.
 Pull the bulb out and change it.
To reassemble, carry out these opera-
tions in reverse order.  Remove the protective cover by
pulling on the tab.
 Disconnect the bulb connector.
 Squeeze the springs to release the bulb.
 Pull the bulb out and change it.
To reassemble, carry out these opera-
tions in reverse order.

Changing front foglamp bulbs
To replace these bulbs contact a PEUGEOT
dealer or a qualifi ed workshop.
Changing the side spotlamps
For the replacement of this type of LED
lamp, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a
qualifi ed workshop.
Changing integrated direction
indicator side repeaters
 Insert a screwdriver towards the
centre of the repeater between the
repeater and the base of the mirror.
 Tilt the screwdriver to extract the re- peater and remove it.
 Disconnect the repeater connector.
To reassemble, carry out these opera-
tions in reverse order.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a quali-
fi ed workshop to obtain replacement
repeaters. Changing the daytime running
lamps/sidelamps
For the replacement of this type of LED
lamp, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a
qualifi ed workshop.

Rear lamps
1. Brake lamps (LEDs).

5. Reversing lamp (P21W). Changing the foglamp and reversing
lamp bulbs
These two bulbs are changed from out-
side the rear bumper:
On the left-hand side, take care not
to touch the silencer; risk of burns,
if you change the bulb after switch-
ing off the ignition.
 turn the bulb holder one quarter of a
turn and remove it,
 turn the bulb one quarter of a turn and change it.
To refi t, carry out these operations in re-
verse order. Changing brake lamps, sidelamps
and direction indicators
For the replacement of this type of LED

Changing the third brake lamp
(LEDs)
For the replacement of this type of LED
lamp, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a
qualifi ed workshop. Changing the number plate lamp
bulbs (W5W)
 Insert a thin screwdriver in one of
the exterior holes of the lens.
 Push it towards the outside to unclip it.
 Remove the lens.
 Pull the bulb out and change it. High pressure washing
When using this type of washing
on stubborn dirt, do not persist on
the headlamps, the lamps and their
surrounds to avoid damaging their
protective coating and seals.

PEUGEOT will not accept responsi-
bility for the cost incurred in repairing
your vehicle or for rectifying malfunc-
tions resulting from the installation
of accessories not supplied and not
recommended by PEUGEOT and
not installed in accordance with its
instructions, in particular when the
combined consumption of all of the
additional equipment connected ex-
ceeds 10 milliamperes. Installing electrical accessories
Your vehicle's electrical system is
designed to operate with standard
or optional equipment.
Before installing other electrical
equipment or accessories on your
vehicle, contact a PEUGEOT deal-
er or a qualifi ed workshop.
CHANGING A FUSE
Access to the tools
The extraction tweezer is fi tted to the
back of the dashboard fusebox cover.
To gain access to it:
 open the glove box lid,
 push the opening guide to the left past the fi rst notch,
 open the glove box lid fully,
 turn the screw a quarter of a turn to the left,
 unclip the fusebox cover by pulling the top right,
 disengage the fusebox cover com- pletely and turn it over,
 extract the support, on the back of which is fi tted the tweezer.
Changing a fuse
Before changing a fuse, it is necessary
that:
 the cause of the failure be identifi ed and rectifi ed,
 all electrical consumers be switched off,
 the vehicle be immobilised and the ignition switched off,
 the failed fuse be identifi ed using the allocation tables and drawings
in the following pages. Good
Failed
Tweezer
To change a fuse, you must:
 use the special tweezer to extract the fuse from its housing and check
the condition of its fi lament,
 always replace the failed fuse with a fuse of the same rating (same co-
lour); a different rating may cause
malfunctions (risk of fi re).
If the fault occurs again soon after re-
placing the fuse, have the electrical sys-
tem checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or
a qualifi ed workshop.

Engine compartment fuses
The fusebox is placed in the engine
compartment near the battery (left-hand
side).
Access to the fuses
 Unclip the cover.
 Change the fuse (see correspond-ing paragraph).
 When you have fi nished, close the cover carefully to assure the sealing
of the fusebox. Fuse table
