COMFORT
De-icing - Demisting
The symbols on the control panel indicate
the position of the controls for rapid de-icing
or demisting of the windscreen and side
windows:
place the air intake control 4 in the
" E x t e r i o r a i r i n t a k e " p o s i t i o n ( i n d i c a t o r
light off),
place the air distribution dial 3 in the
" W i n d s c r e e n p o s i t i o n " ,
p l a c e t h e a i r fl o w d i a l 2 in position 5
(maximum),
place the temperature dial 1 in the
red position (hot),
close the central vents, The control button is located on
the heating or air conditioning
system control panel.
Switch off the de-icing of the
rear screen and exterior mir-
rors as soon as you consider
this necessary as lower current
consumption results in reduced
fuel consumption.
If the engine is switched off before
the de-icing is switched off auto-
matically, de-icing will resume next
time the engine is switched on.
The de-icing is deactivated when
the retractable roof is stored in the
boot.

The rear screen de-icing can only
operate when the engine is running.

The de-icing switches off automatically
to prevent an excessive consumption of

5. Air conditioning On / Off
The air conditioning is de-
signed to operate effectively in
all seasons, with the windows
closed.
It enables you to:
- lower the temperature, in summer,
- increase the effectiveness of the de- misting in winter, above 0 °C.

Pull the windstop forwards to re-
lease the guides from the points,
located behind each corner of the
back of the rear bench seat.
Fold the windstop frame guides. Storing

Unlocking and partial opening of the
boot
Press this button for more
than two seconds to unlock
the boot. The boot opens
slightly.
This action unlocks the v e h i c l e fi r s t .
Press the open padlock
once to unlock the driver's
door only.
Selective unlocking using the
remote control E a c h u n l o c k i n g i s c o n fi r m e d b y r a p i d
fl a s h i n g o f t h e d i r e c t i o n i n d i c a t o r s f o r
approximately two seconds.
According to version, the exterior
mirrors unfold at the same time as the
fi r s t u n l o c k i n g a c t i o n .
Selective unlocking using the key
Turn the key to the left in the driver's
door lock once to unlock the driver's
door only.
Turn the key to the left in the driver's
door lock again to unlock the
passenger's door and the boot. The complete or selective
unlocking parameter is set
via the multifunction dis-
p l a y c o n fi g u r a t i o n m e n u .
System which permits central unlocking
and locking of the vehicle using the lock
or from a distance, as well as of the
interior storage compartments (glove
box and front armrest). It is also used to
locate and start the vehicle, as well as
providing protection against theft.
Unfolding the key
First press button A to unfold the key.

of the direction indicators for approxi-
mately two seconds.
The central unlocking also unlocks
the glove box and the front armrest
compartment.
According to version, the exterior mir-

Deadlocking renders the exte-
rior and interior door controls
inoperative.
It also deactivates the manual central
control button.
Therefore, never leave anyone inside
the vehicle when it is deadlocked.
If one of the doors or the boot is still
open, the central locking does not
take place.
After unlocking the vehicle, if none
of the accesses - door or boot - are
opened within thirty seconds, the
vehicle will re-lock automatically.

The folding and unfolding of the
exterior mirrors using the remote
control can be deactivated by a
PEUGEOT dealer.
Press the closed padlock to
lock the vehicle completely.

ALARM
System which protects and dissuades
against the theft of your vehicle. It pro-
vides two types of protection, exterior
and interior, as well as an anti-tamper
function. Locking the vehicle with full
alarm
D o n o t m a k e a n y m o d i fi c a t i o n s t o
the alarm system, this could cause
malfunctions. In order to be taken into account,
this deactivation must be carried
out each time the ignition is
switched off.
I n t h e " c a b r i o l e t " c o n fi g u r a t i o n , t h e
interior protection is deactivated
automatically.
Reactivation of the interior
protection
Unlock the vehicle using the unlocking
button on the remote control.
Relock the vehicle using the remote
control.
The alarm is activated again with both
types of protection; the indicator light on
button A switches off.
Locking the vehicle with
exterior protection alarm only
Activation
Switch off the ignition and get out of
the vehicle.
Lock or deadlock the vehicle using
the locking button on the remote
control.
The alarm is activated; the indicator light
on button A fl a s h e s o n c e p e r s e c o n d .
Exterior protection
The system detects opening of the
vehicle.
The alarm is triggered if anyone tries to
enter the vehicle by forcing a door, the
boot or the bonnet.
Interior protection
The system detects any variation in the
volume in the passenger compartment.
The alarm is triggered if anyone breaks
a window or moves inside the vehicle.
If you wish to leave a pet in the vehicle
or a window partially open, deactivate
the interior protection.
Anti-tamper function
The system detects the putting out of
service of its components.
The alarm is triggered if anyone tries
to put the wires of the siren, the central
control or the battery out of service.
Deactivation
Unlock the vehicle using the unlock-
ing button on the remote control.
The alarm is deactivated; the indicator
light on button A switches off. Deactivation of the interior
protection
Switch off the ignition.
Within ten seconds, press button A
until the indicator light is lit conti-
nuously.
Get out of the vehicle.
Lock or deadlock the vehicle using
the locking button on the remote
control.
The exterior protection alarm alone
remains activated; the indicator light on
button A fl a s h e s o n c e p e r s e c o n d .

Triggering of the alarm
This is indicated by sounding of the
s i r e n a n d fl a s h i n g o f t h e d i r e c t i o n i n d i -
cators for approximately thirty seconds.
After it has been triggered, the alarm is
again operational. If the alarm is triggered ten times in
succession, the eleventh time will
result in it becoming inactive.
If the indicator light on button A
fl a s h e s r a p i d l y , t h i s i n d i c a t e s t h a t
the alarm was triggered during
your absence. When the ignition
i s s w i t c h e d o n , t h i s fl a s h i n g s t o p s
immediately.
To avoid triggering the alarm when
washing your vehicle, lock it using
the key.
Do not activate the alarm before
disconnecting the battery, other-
wise the siren will sound. Failure of the remote control
Unlock the vehicle using the key in
the driver's door lock.
Open the door; the alarm is triggered.
Switch on the ignition; the alarm
stops.

Malfunction
When the ignition is switched on, lighting
of the indicator light on button
A for ten
seconds indicates a siren fault.
Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer.
Locking the vehicle without alarm
Lock or deadlock the vehicle using
the key in the driver's door lock. Automatic operation *
Depending on the legislation in force in
your country, one of these cases may
occur:
- 45 seconds after the vehicle is
locked using the remote control, the
alarm is activated, regardless of the
status of the doors and boot.
- 2 minutes after the last door or the boot is closed, the alarm is
activated.
To avoid triggering the alarm on
e n t e r i n g t h e v e h i c l e , fi r s t p r e s s t h e
unlocking button on the remote
control.

DOORS
After unlocking the vehicle com-
pletely using the remote control or
the key, take hold of the door handle
then pull it.
The window lowers automatically by a few millimetres to permit opening
of the door. From inside

The interior door controls do not
operate when the vehicle is dead-
locked. Closing
The window rises automatically after
a few seconds and adjusts to provide
perfect sealing when closed.

when the engine is running, this warning light comes on,
accompanied by a message
on the multi-function display
for a few seconds,
- when the vehicle is moving (speed
higher than 6 mph (10 km/h)), this
warning light comes on, accompanied
by an audible signal and a message
on the multifunction display for a few
seconds.
If you leave the door open for more
than one minute, the window rises
again.
Pull the handle again to reactivate
the system.
Opening
From outside
When the selective unlocking is acti- v a t e d , t h e fi r s t p r e s s o f t h e r e m o t e
control unlocking button permits
unlocking of the driver's door only.
With the selective unlocking activated:
- the driver's door control unlocks
the driver's door only.
- the passenger's door control unlocks the passenger's door
and the boot. When washing your vehicle:
- fi r s t l o c k t h e v e h i c l e u s i n g t h e
remote control or the key,
- avoid spraying the upper part of the windows,
- keep the end of the high pres- sure nozzle at least 1 metre from
the windows and door seals.
When a door is not closed correctly:

If the vehicle is locked or dead-
locked from the outside, the red
i n d i c a t o r l i g h t fl a s h e s a n d b u t t o n A
is inactive.
In this case, use the remote
control or the key to unlock the
vehicle.
If one of the doors is open, the
automatic central locking does not
take place.
If the boot is open, the automatic
central locking of the doors is active.
Manual centralised control
System which provides full manual lock-
ing or unlocking of the doors and boot
from the inside.
Locking
Press button A to lock the vehicle.
The red indicator light on the button
comes on. Central automatic control
System which provides full automatic
locking or unlocking of the doors and
boot while driving.
You can activate or deactivate this func-
tion.
Unlocking
Above 6 mph (10 km/h), press button A
to unlock the doors and boot temporarily.
If one of the doors or the boot is
open, the central locking from the
inside does not take place. Unlocking
Press button A again to unlock the
vehicle.
The red indicator light on the button
switches off.
Locking
When the speed exceeds 6 mph
(10 km/h), the doors and boot lock auto-
matically.
The glove box and the front arm-
rest compartment are not locked so
that they remain accessible.

Unlocking and partially opening
the boot
BOOT Boot anti-theft protection
The boot is designed to remain impregna-
b l e , e v e n i n t h e " c a b r i o l e t " c o n fi g u r a t i o n , i f
the vehicle is locked.
So, when the vehicle is locked and
the roof is open, the boot cannot be
unlocked:
- by means of the interior door opening control,
- by pressing the manual centralised control A , when the key is not in the
ignition switch.
Opening
After unlocking the boot or the vehi-
cle using the remote control or the
key, press the opening control while
raising the tailgate.
When the selective unlocking is acti-
vated, the boot can be opened at the
second press of the unlocking button
on the remote control.
Press this button for more
than two seconds to un-
lock the boot. The boot
opens slightly.
This action also unlocks the doors.
If a battery failure occurs, the boot
is locked. Consult a PEUGEOT
dealer. Closing
Lower the tailgate using the interior
grab handle.
If the tailgate is not closed correctly: -
when the engine is running ,
this warning light comes on,
accompanied by a message
on the multifunction display
for a few seconds,
- when the vehicle is moving (speed
above 6 mph (10 km/h)), this warning
light comes on, accompanied by an
audible signal and a message on
the multifunction display for a few
seconds.
