ACCESS
Before opening the tailgate, en-
sure that no one is within the ra-
dius of opening.
For reasons of safety and cor-
rect operation, do not drive with
the tailgate open.
If the battery is disconnected,
the tailgate cannot be opened.
Do not climb onto the lower
tailgate and do not subject it to
heavy knocks, it may be dam-
aged.
Always close the lower tailgate
and check that it is secured cor-
rectly before closing the main
tailgate.
When closing the lower tailgate,
ensure that no person or object
is in the proximity of the moving
parts to avoid any risk of injury
or damage.
Do not open the lower tailgate
w h e n a t o w b a r i s fi t t e d .
"Tailgate open" warning
This warning light comes on on the
instrument panel display when the
tailgate is not closed correctly.
LOWER TAILGALOWER TAILGATE
Opening
Push the handle C to the right and
tilt the tailgate D gently.
Closing
Raise the tailgate D , push it to close
it, then check that it is secured
correctly. Maximum authorised weight on
the lower tailgate when open:
200 kg . Tailgate release
This enables the tailgate to be unlocked
in the event of a central locking fault.
- Fold back the rear seats to gain ac-
cess to the tailgate release from in-
side the boot.
- Remove the plastic cap from the open- ing A in the tailgate interior pillar.
- Move the control B to the right to
unlock and open the tailgate.

In the lamps off and sidelamps modes,

fl a s h " ) b y m a i n t a i n i n g a p u l l o n t h e s t a l k .

Main lighting
The various front and rear lights of the
v e h i c l e a r e d e s i g n e d t o a d a p t t h e d r i v -
e r ' s v i s i b i l i t y p r o g r e s s i v e l y i n r e l a t i o n t o
the climatic conditions:
- s i d e l i g h t s , t o b e s e e n ,
- d i p p e d h e a d l a m p s t o s e e w i t h o u t
dazzling other drivers,
- m a i n b e a m h e a d l a m p s t o s e e c l e a r l y w h e n t h e r o a d i s c l e a r .

Front and rear fog lamps

The fog lamps operate with the dipped
a n d m a i n b e a m h e a d l a m p s . front and rear fog lamps
To switch on the front fog lamps,
turn the push ring C forwards one
n o t c h .
To switch on the rear fog lamps, turn
the push ring C f o r w a r d s t w o n o t c h e s .
To switch off the front fog lamps,
turn the push ring C rearwards one
n o t c h .
To switch off the rear fog lamps,
turn the push ring C rearwards two
n o t c h e s .
The ring C returns to its initial position
a u t o m a t i c a l l y .
The front fog lamps are switched on
a u t o m a t i c a l l y w h e n y o u s w i t c h o n t h e
r e a r f o g l a m p s .
The rear fog lamps are switched off
a u t o m a t i c a l l y w h e n y o u s w i t c h o f f t h e
d i p p e d / m a i n b e a m h e a d l a m p s o r t h e
f r o n t f o g l a m p s .
O n v e h i c l e s fi t t e d w i t h d a y t i m e l i g h t s ,
t h e r e a r f o g l a m p s c a n b e s w i t c h e d o n
e v e n i f t h e l i g h t s s t a l k i s i n t h e " O F F "
p o s i t i o n .
I n g o o d o r r a i n y w e a t h e r , b o t h
d a y a n d n i g h t , t h e f r o n t f o g
lamps and the rear fog lamps
a r e p r o h i b i t e d . I n t h e s e s i t u a -
t i o n s , t h e p o w e r o f t h e i r b e a m s
m a y d a z z l e o t h e r d r i v e r s .
Do not forget to switch off the
front fog lamps and the rear fog
l a m p s w h e n t h e y a r e n o l o n g e r
n e c e s s a r y .
Lights on buzzer
T h e t r i g g e r i n g o f a n a u d i b l e s i g n a l
when the driver's door is opened
w a r n s t h e d r i v e r t h a t h e h a s f o r -
gotten to switch off his vehicle's
l i g h t s , w i t h t h e i g n i t i o n o f f .
In this case, switching off the
l i g h t s s t o p s t h e a u d i b l e s i g n a l .
If condensation is present, it is
a d v i s a b l e t o s w i t c h t h e h e a d -
lamps on for a few minutes in order
t o c l e a r i t .

ADJUSTMENT

stationary , t h e s y s t e m a u t o m a t i c a l l y
c o r r e c t s t h e h e i g h t o f t h e b e a m , w h a t -
