(A/C-OFF)
Deactivation or activation of the
simultaneous Left-Right control

PROGRAMMABLE HEATING Programming remote control
T h e h e a t i n g s y s t e m p r o g r a m m i n g r e -
mote control consists of the following
b u t t o n s a n d d i s p l a y s :
1. Scrolling functions menu buttons.
2. Function indicator lights: clock,
t e m p e r a t u r e , o p e r a t i n g t i m e , p r o -
g r a m m e d t i m e , h e a t e r o p e r a t i o n ,
h e a t i n g m a n a g e m e n t s y m b o l s .
3. D i g i t a l d i s p l a y s : t i m e , t e m p e r a t u r e ,
d u r a t i o n o f o p e r a t i o n , p r o g r a m m e d
time or level of heating.
4. Off button.
5. On button.
Displaying the functions
If a malfunction of the programma-
ble heating system occurs, contact
a PEUGEOT dealer.

W h e n t h e e n g i n e i s o f f , i t p r e - h e a t s
t h e c o o l a n t c i r c u i t i n o r d e r t o b e n e fi t

t e m p e r a t u r e f r o m t h e t i m e t h e e n g i n e
is switched on.

is switched on using the long range
r e m o t e c o n t r o l . A c t i v a t i o n c a n b e i m -

Activation - deactivation
When the signal has been received,
the message
"OK" i s d i s p l a y e d

T h e s y m b o l "HTM" is switched off.
W h e n c a r r y i n g o u t t h e s e o p e r a -
tions, if the message "FAIL" a p -
p e a r s , t h e s i g n a l h a s n o t b e e n
r e c e i v e d . R e p e a t t h e p r o c e d u r e
a f t e r c h a n g i n g y o u r l o c a t i o n .
T h i s s y m b o l i s d i s p l a y e d w h e n
the heater starts.
Switching off the heating
Press button
5 ( O N ) .
T h e s y m b o l "HTM" remains on.
Changing the level of heating
T h e s y s t e m o f f e r s 5 levels of heating
(from the lowest level C1 t o t h e h i g h -
est level C5 ) .
Once the level of heating has been
d i s p l a y e d b y m e a n s o f t h e b u t t o n s 1 ,
p r e s s b u t t o n s 4 and 5 s i m u l t a n e o u s l y .
The letter "C" fl a s h e s .
S e t t h e l e v e l o f h e a t i n g b y p r e s s i n g
the buttons 1 .
Press buttons 4 and 5 s i m u l t a n e o u s l y
to save the level selected. The letter
"C" i s d i s p l a y e d ( fi x e d ) .
T h e f a c t o r y p r e - s e t s a r e r e -
p l a c e d b y t h e n e w s e t t i n g s e n -
t e r e d . T h e p r o g r a m m e d t i m e s
are stored until the next time
t h e y a r e c h a n g e d .
W h e n t h e d e p a r t u r e t i m e i s a c t i -
vated, the level of heating cannot be
c h a n g e d . T h e d e p a r t u r e t i m e m u s t b e

t a n k i s a t t h e r e s e r v e , w e s t r o n g l y a d -
v i s e t h a t y o u d o n o t p r o g r a m m e t h e
heating.
Changing the battery
T h e r e m o t e c o n t r o l i s s u p p l i e d b y a
6 V - 2 8 L b a t t e r y , w h i c h i s s u p p l i e d .

Do not discard the used batteries, take
t h e m t o a n a p p r o v e d c o l l e c t i o n p o i n t . Reinitialising the remote
control
I f t h e v e h i c l e ' s b a t t e r y i s d i s -
c o n n e c t e d o r t h e r e m o t e c o n -
t r o l ' s b a t t e r y i s r e p l a c e d , t h e r e m o t e
control must be reinitialised.
A f t e r s w i t c h i n g o n t h e p o w e r , p r e s s
button 4 ( O F F ) f o r 1 s e c o n d w i t h i n t h e
n e x t 5 s e c o n d s . I f t h e o p e r a t i o n h a s
t a k e n p l a c e c o r r e c t l y t h e m e s s a g e
"OK" i s d i s p l a y e d o n t h e r e m o t e c o n -
trol screen.
I f a p r o b l e m o c c u r s , t h e m e s s a g e
"FAIL" a p p e a r s . R e p e a t t h e o p e r a t i o n .

The electrical system of your
vehicle is designed to oper-
ate with standard or optional
equipment.
Before installing other electrical equip-
ment or accessories on your vehicle,
contact a PEUGEOT dealer. PEUGEOT will not accept responsi-
bility for the cost incurred in repairing
your vehicle or for rectifying the mal-
functions resulting from the installation
of accessories not supplied and not
recommended by PEUGEOT and not
installed in accordance with its instruc-
tions, in particular where the equip-
ment in question consumes more than
10 milliamperes. The maxi-fuses provide additional
protection for the electrical systems.
All work must be carried out by a
PEUGEOT dealer.

CHANGING A WINDSCREEN WIPER BLADE
ECONOMY MODE FUNCTION
After the engine has stopped, certain
electrical functions can be used for a
maximum duration of approximately
one hour, to prevent discharging of the
battery.
LOAD REDUCTION FUNCTION
When driving, certain functions (air
conditioning, heated rear screen,
heating system for passenger com-
partment of diesel vehicles, etc.) may
be switched off temporarily, depending
on the level of battery charge.
Reactivation of these functions is
automatic, once the battery charge is
s u f fi c i e n t .
Note: at the risk of discharging
the battery, the functions that
have been switched off may be
reactivated manually.
Note: if the telephone is being
used when economy mode
starts, it will still be possible to
fi n i s h t h e c a l l .
A fl a t b a t t e r y p r e v e n t s t h e
engine from starting.
Replacing a blade
Lift the arm, then unclip the blade
and remove it.
Fit the new blade and fold down
the arm.
To reposition the blades, switch on the
ignition and operate the windscreen
wiper stalk. Once the hour is over, a switching to
economy mode message appears
on the multi-function display and the
active functions are put on standby.
These functions are reactivated auto-
matically next time the vehicle is driven.
In order to resume the use of these
functions immediately, the engine
must be started and left to run for a
few minutes.
The time available to you will then be
approximately double the duration
for which the engine is left running.
However, this period will always be
b e t w e e n fi v e a n d t h i r t y m i n u t e s .
T h i s t i m e m a y b e s i g n i fi c a n t l y
reduced if the battery charge
is low.
Placing the wiper blades in the
maintenance position
Less than one minute after switch-
ing off the ignition, press the wind-
screen wiper stalk down once
to position the blades at the top
of the windscreen (maintenance
position).
