After changing the wheel:
- have the tightening of the bolts and the tyre pressure of the spare wheel
checked as soon as possible.
-
have the punctured wheel repaired and
r e fi t i t t o t h e v e h i c l e a s s o o n a s p o s s i b l e .
- have the spare wheel checked and replace it in its boot recess.
Fitting a wheel
Position the wheel.
Tighten the bolts by hand.
Partly tighten the bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 .
Fold the jack 2 and remove it.
Fully tighten the bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 .

Put the tool holder back in position.
T h i s h e l p s t o k e e p t h e b o o t fl o o r i n i t s
correct position, to prevent any defor-
m a t i o n o f t h e fl o o r w h e n l o a d e d .
Tighten the spare wheel securing
strap to prevent noise and for your
safety in the event of impact.
Reminder: for your safety, always
change a wheel:
- on level, stable, non-slippery ground,
- with the handbrake applied,
- w i t h fi r s t o r r e v e r s e g e a r e n g a g e d ( p o - sition P for the automatic gearbox),
- never go underneath a vehicle which is supported only by a jack.
Tools available
The following tools are located in
the holder in the centre of the spare
wheel:
1. Wheelbrace.
Permits removal of the wheel trim and removal of the wheel securing
bolts.
2. Jack with integrated handle.
Permits raising of the vehicle.
3. Removable towing eye.
See corresponding section.
4. Bolt cover tool. Permits removal of
the bolt protectors (covers) on alloy
wheels. Removal
For vehicles with alloy wheels,
remove the covers using tool 4 .
Loosen the wheel bolts.
Place the jack 2 in one of the four
locations underneath the vehicle
(the nearest one to the wheel to be
changed).
Extend the jack 2 until its base is in
contact with the ground.
Unscrew the bolts and remove the
wheel.

Bolt covers
Alloy wheel bolts are covered by
chrome trims.
Use the yellow tool to remove the trims
before slackening the bolts.
Fitting the spare wheel

w h e e l , w h e n fi t t i n g i t , i t i s normal when
tightening the bolts to notice that the
washers do not come into contact with
the rim. The spare wheel is secured by
the cone shape of each bolt.
VERY COLD CLIMATE SCREEN *
The very cold climate screen is a par-
t i a l r e m o v a b l e c o v e r w h i c h i s fi x e d
onto the air intake grille to prevent the
accumulation of snow due to direct
splashes.
O n c e i t h a s b e e n fi t t e d o n y o u r v e h i -
cle, it is imperative that it is removed
when the ambient temperature condi-
tions rise above 10°C again.
Consult a PEUGEOT dealer.

Special features of alloy wheels
Anti-theft bolts
Y o u r w h e e l s a r e fi t t e d w i t h a n t i - t h e f t
bolts (one per wheel), placed under
chrome trims which must be removed
using the yellow tool, before the bolts
are unscrewed using the anti-theft
socket and the wheel brace 1 .
Fitting snow tyres
I f y o u fi t s n o w t y r e s m o u n t e d o n s t e e l
wheels onto your vehicle, it is
essential
to use special bolts available from your
PEUGEOT dealer.
Note: this anti-theft socket
was given to you on delivery
of your vehicle with the dupli-
cate keys. Make a careful note
of the code number engraved on the
head of the anti-theft socket. This will
enable you to obtain a duplicate anti-
theft socket from a Peugeot dealer.
You are advised to do the same for
the duplicate keys and not to leave the
c o n fi d e n t i a l c a r d i n t h e v e h i c l e .

which detects the removal or absence
o f a w h e e l fi t t e d w i t h t h e i n d i c a t o r
sensor signals the anomaly. Have
the wheel repaired and checked by a
PEUGEOT dealer.

CHANGING A FRONT BULB
Handle the bulbs with a dry cloth.
2 - Side lights: W 5 W (COOL BLUE
®).
Turn the access cap a quarter turn,
remove the bulb and change it.
3 - Direction indicators:
PY 21 W (DIADEM
®).
Turn the access cap a quarter turn,
Remove the bulb holder.
Change the bulb.
4 - Front fog lamps: H11 - 55 W.
T h e h e a d l a m p s a r e fi t t e d w i t h p o l y c a r -
bonate glass with a protective coating.
Do not clean them with a dry or abrasive
cloth, nor with a detergent or solvent
product.
E n s u r e t h a t t h e l i q u i d u s e d t o fi l l t h e
wash-wipe and headlamp wash reser-
voir is of good quality. Integrated direction indicator side
repeaters
Push the repeater forwards or
backwards and release it.
Unclip the repeater and change it.
Repeaters can be obtained from a
PEUGEOT dealer.
Front lights
In the engine compartment, remove
the cover secured by one or two but-
t e r fl y s c r e w s , a p l a s t i c r e t a i n e r c l i p a n d
two quarter turn screws.
1 - Dipped beam and main beam headlamps: D1S - 35 W xenon bulb.
WARNING: RISK OF
ELECTROCUTION Coloured bulbs (side lights
and direction indicators) must
be replaced with bulbs of iden-
t i c a l s p e c i fi c a t i o n a n d c o l o u r .
In certain climatic conditions
(low temperature, humidity),
condensation on the inside
surface of the headlamp glass
is normal; it disappears a few minutes
after the lights are switched on.
Xenon bulbs must be replaced by a
PEUGEOT dealer.

CHANGING A REAR BULB
1. Direction indicators: W 16W.
2. Fog lamps: P21 W.
3. Reversing lights: P21 W.
4. Brake lights/side lights: P21/5 W.
Fold down the panel to gain ac-
cess to the light.
U n s c r e w t h e 2 l i g h t fi x i n g n u t s i n -
side the boot.
Disconnect the connector.
Pull the light towards the outside.
Unscrew the bulb holder sleeve a
quarter of a turn.
Unscrew the faulty bulb and
change it.
Screw in the bulb holder sleeve a
quarter of a turn.
Put the light back in place from the
outside.
Reconnect the connector.
S c r e w o n t h e 2 l i g h t fi x i n g n u t s i n -
s i d e t h e b o o t . W h e n r e fi t t i n g , e n -
sure that the light is positioned and
fi x e d c o r r e c t l y .
Number plate lights: W 5 W.
Remove the transparent cover us-
ing a screwdriver.
Change the faulty bulb.
Third brake light: diodes.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer for re-
placement.

CHANGING A FUSE
The fuse boxes are placed in the lower
part of the fascia (driver's side), in the
engine compartment (left-hand side)
and in the left boot trim.
Fascia fuses
To access the fuses, open the cover
of the storage compartment on the
driver's side. Tilt the fuse box down-
wards.
Replacing a fuse
Before replacing a fuse, the cause of
the incident must be found and recti-
fi e d . T h e f u s e n u m b e r s a r e i n d i c a t e d
on the fuse box. Always replace a faulty fuse
with a fuse of the same rating
(same colour). Use the special pliers located on the
support next to the fuse box, this sup-
port also contains the replacement
fuses.

CHANGING A FUSE

Engine compartment fuses
To access the fuses located in the
engine compartment (next to the bat-
tery), remove the battery cover and
unclip the fuse box cover.
Close the fuse box cover carefully and
r e fi t t h e b a t t e r y c o v e r w h e n y o u h a v e
fi n i s h e d .

The electrical system of your
vehicle is designed to operate
with standard or optional equip-
ment.
Before installing other electrical equip-
ment or accessories on your vehicle,
contact a PEUGEOT dealer. PEUGEOT will not accept responsi-
bility for the cost incurred in repairing
your vehicle or for rectifying the mal-
functions resulting from the installation
of accessories not supplied and not
recommended by PEUGEOT and not
installed in accordance with its instruc-
tions, in particular where the equip-
ment in question consumes more than
10 milliamperes. The maxi-fuses provide additional
protection for the electrical systems.
All work must be carried out by a
PEUGEOT dealer.
