Warning/indicator lampStateCauseAction/Observations



Diesel engine pre-heating
fixed. The START/STOP
switch has been pressed (ignition on). Wait until the warning lamp goes off before star ting.
The period of illumination of the warning lamp is
determined by the ambient conditions (up to about
thir ty seconds in extreme conditions).
If the engine does not star t, switch the ignition off and
then on, wait until the warning lamp goes off again,
then start the engine.
Parking brake
fixed. The parking brake is applied or notproperly released. Release the parking brake to switch off the warninglamp, keeping your foot on the brake pedal.
Obser ve the safety recommendations.
For further information on the parking brake, refer to
the "Driving" section.
Deactivation of the automatic functions of the electric parkingbrake
fixed. The "automatic application" (on switching off the engine) and
"automatic release" functions aredeactivated or faulty.
Activate the function (according to country) via the
vehicle configuration menu or contact a PEUGEOT
dealer or a qualified workshop if automatic application/release is not possible.
The parking brake can be released manually usingthe emergency release procedure.

Automatic wipingfixed.The wiper control is pushed downwards. Automatic front wiping is activated. To deactivate automatic wiping, operate the controlstalk downwards or put the stalk into another position.
Passenger's

traffic jams, ...) the Stop & Star t system has put the engine into STOP mode. The warnin

move off.

Warning lamps
When the engine is running or the vehicle is being driven, illumination of one of the following warning lamps indicates a fault which requires action on
the par t of the driver.
Any fault resulting in the illumination of a warning lamp must be investigated fur ther by reading the associated message in the instrument panel screen.
If you encounter any problems, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.

punctured
wheel, the braking system, the power steering, the engine oil pressure,
the engine coolant temperature or a major electrical fault.
Stop as soon as it is safe to do so as the engine may cut out.
Park, switch off the ignition and call a PEUGEOT
dealer or a qualified workshop.


Serviceon temporarily.Minor faults have occurred for which
there is no specific warning lamp. Identify the fault by reading the message shown in the screen, such as, for example:
- the engine oil level,
- saturation o
f the par ticle emissions filter (Diesel).
- the power steering,
- a minor electrical fault.
-
...
For any other faults, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a
qualified workshop.

ed.Major faults have occurred for which
there is no specific warning lamp. Identify the fault by reading the message shown in

Electric parking brake

flashing.The electric parking brake is not
applied automatically.
The application/release is faulty. You must stop as soon as it is safe to do so.
Park on flat level ground, switch off the ignition and contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
Electric parking brake fault

fixed. Alone, the electric parking brake has a fault. Contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop
without delay.
The parking brake can be released manually.
For more information on the electric parking brake,
refer to the "Driving" section.


Braking
fixed. The braking system fluid level has
dropped significantly. You must stop as soon as it is safe to do so.
Top up with brake fluid listed by PEUGEOT.
If the problem persists, have the system checked by a
PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.

fixed, associated
with the ABS warninglamp. Th
e electronic brake force distribution(EBFD) system has a fault. You must stop as soon as it is safe to do so.
Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified
workshop.
Deactivation of the automatic functions of the electric parkingbrake
fixed. The "automatic application"(on switching off the engine)and "automatic release" functions aredeactivated or faulty.

Low fuel levelfixed with the needle
in th
e red zone. Wh
en it first comes on there remains
approximately 7 litresof fuel in the
tank.
At this point, you begin to use the fuel reserve.Re
fuel as soon as possible to avoid running out of
fuel.
This warning lamp will come on every time the ignition
is switched on, until a sufficient addition of fuel is
made.
Never continue to drive until you run out of fuel,
as this could damage the emission control and injection systems.


Anti-lockBraking System(ABS)
fixed.The anti-lock braking system has afault. The vehicle retains conventional braking.
Drive carefully at reduced speed and contact a

Coolant temperature gauge
With the engine running, when the needle is:


- in zone A
, the temperature is correct,

- in zone B, the temperature is too high;the central STOPwarning lamp comes on, accompanied by an audible signal and amessage in the instrument panel screen.You MUST stop as soon as it is safe to do so.
Wait a few minutes before switching off theengine.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified
workshop.
After drivin
g for a few minutes, the temperatureand pressure in the cooling system increase.
To top up the level:
) wait for the engine to cool, )
unscrew the cap by two turns to allow the
pressure to drop,
) when the pressure has dropped, remove
the cap,) top up the level to the "MA X" mark.


On switching on the ignition or when driving,
it indicates the engine oil temperature.
With the needle in zone C , the temperature is correct.
With the needle in zone D , the temperature is
too high.
Slow down to lower the oil temperature.

Be aware of the risk of burns whentopping up the cooling system. Do not fill above the maximum level (indicatedon the reservoir).

Automatic CHECK
With the key in the ignition on position, all of the
warning lamps for the functions tested are displayed.
They are switched off after a few seconds. At the same time, an automatic CHECK(vehicle autotest) is carried out.
In the presence of a fault
A "minor" fault has been detected: the warning
lamp(s) are displayed then go off.You can star t your vehicle; however, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop as soon as possible.
A "major" fault has been detected:
the associated warning lamps(s) remain
on accompanied by the STOP or SERVICE
warning lamp.
Do not star t your vehicle. Call a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified
wor
kshop without delay.

Manual CHECK

Pressing the "CHECK"button on the instrument
panel star ts the manual CHECK (vehicle autotest).
This function enables you to recall at any time (with
the key in the ignition on position or with the engine
running), the aler ts present.
The passenger's airbag deactivated warning lamp * remains on while the airbag is deactivated.
With the en
gine running and the vehiclemoving, the instrument panel displaysthe warning lamps (in the event of a fault). I
f no "major" fault is found, you can star t your
vehicle.

Lighting dimmer control

With the headlamps on, press button B
to
increase the brightness of the instruments and controls and the interior mood lighting or button Ato reduce it.
As soon as the lighting reaches the required
level of brightness, release the button.

Engine oil level indicator

Oil level incorrect

This is indicated by a message in the
instrument panel screen.
I
f the low oil level is confirmed by a check usingthe dipstick, the level must be topped up to
avoid damage to the engine.
Oil level indicator fault
This is indicated by a message in the instrument panel screen. Contact a PEUGEOT
dealer or a qualified workshop.
Dipstick
Refer to the "Checks" section to locate the
dipstick and the oil filler cap on your engine.
There are 2 marks on the dipstick: The total milea
ge is displayed in zone Aof thescreen and the trip mileage in zone B.
With the trip milea
ge displayed, press the button for a few seconds.


Mileage recorder

Tr i
p recorder zero reset
System which informs the driver whether theengine oil level is correct or not.
This information is indicated for a few seconds
when the ignition is switched on, after theservice information.

The level read will only be correct if
the vehicle is on level ground and the engine has been off for more than30 minutes.
