boot lid is in progress, you can stop its

When it is stopped, the boot lid is held
in an intermediate position electrically
f o r a p p r o x i m a t e l y 1 0 m i n u t e s .
A f t e r t h i s t i m e , t h e s y s t e m s w i t c h e s t o
s t a n d b y a n d r e l e a s e s t h e b o o t l i d .
To leave the intermediate position, start
an electric opening or closing operation
o r m o v e t h e b o o t l i d m a n u a l l y .
When the function is active, the boot
c a n o n l y b e o p e n e d b y p r e s s i n g b u t -
ton A o n t h e r e m o t e c o n t r o l k e y .

When opening or closing the
boot, ensure that no-one is
close to the rear of the vehicle
to avoid the risk of injury.
To close the boot lid manually, use one
o f t h e t w o h a n d l e s i n s i d e t h e b o o t l i d .
If the automatic central locking
i s a c t i v a t e d , w h e n t h e v e h i c l e
reaches a speed of 6 mph
( 1 0 k m / h ) , t h e b o o t i s l o c k e d
and the push button B i s d e a c t i v a t e d .

COURTESY LIGHTS Deactivation
Activation
To re-activate the automatic lighting,
press switch 1 again. Sill illumination
The sill lighting is at the bottom of each
door panel.
The lamps come on automatically
when a door is opened and switch off
automatically when all of the doors are
closed.
Boot light
The boot light is located in the left boot
trim.
It comes on automatically when the
boot is opened and switches of auto-
matically when the boot is closed.
1. Front courtesy light
2. Front map reading lights
With the ignition on, operate the relevant switch.
3. Rear courtesy light
4. Rear map reading lights
With the ignition on, operate the relevant switch.
Pressing switch 1 switches on the
front and rear courtesy lights for ten
minutes.
The front and rear courtesy lights come
on automatically when the ignition key
is removed, on unlocking the vehicle
or on opening one of the doors.
They gradually go off after the ignition
has been switched on or the vehicle
is locked. The courtesy lights can be deacti-
vated by pressing switch
1 for more
than three seconds. Pressing switch
1 b r i e fl y s w i t c h e s t h e f r o n t a n d r e a r
courtesy lights on and off.
The map reading lights are not affected
by this and can still be switched on .

Luggage net
T h e l e f t s i d e s t o r a g e c o m p a r t m e n t ,
which houses the battery, can accom-
m o d a t e a b o x o f b u l b s . A w a r n i n g t r i -
angle can be secured using the two
e x t e r n a l s t r a p s .
To access a storage compartment:
P u s h t h e h a n d l e d o w n w a r d s a n d
f o l d d o w n t h e p a n e l .
Storage compartments
Do not place anything on the
battery.
The stowing rings allow the net to be
p l a c e d i n d i f f e r e n t p o s i t i o n s . There are two storage compartments
l o c a t e d b e h i n d t h e s i d e t r i m o f t h e
boot.
The right side storage compartment is
fi t t e d w i t h p r e - w i r i n g f o r a C D c h a n g e r
a v a i l a b l e a s a n a c c e s s o r y . Y o u c a n
also store a small oil can and a high
v i s i b i l i t y j a c k e t h e r e .

Sensors check the tyre pressure dur-
ing driving and trigger a warning in the
event of malfunction (speed greater
than 15 mph [25 km/h]). Sensor(s) not detected
This warning light, accompa-
nied by an audible signal and a
message on the multifunction
display, indicates that under-in-
fl a t i o n d e t e c t i o n i s a b s e n t f r o m
one (or several) tyre(s).
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer to replace
the faulty sensor(s).
Pressure check
With the ignition on and after
the engine oil level, this warn-
ing light comes on to indicate
that the system is measuring
the pressure of the tyres.
Pressure OK This warning light comes on
if all of the tyre pressure val-
ues measured are correct.
If one of the warning lights
described below appears,
refer to the corresponding paragraph.
If none of the lights appear, contact a
PEUGEOT dealer to have the system

This warning light comes on,
accompanied by an audible
signal and a message on the

Have the tyre pressure checked as
soon as possible.
Puncture
This warning light, accom-
panied by an audible signal
and a message on the multi-
function display locating the
punctured tyre, is followed
by illumination of the STOP-
warning light.
Stop immediately, avoiding any sud-
den movement of the steering wheel
and the brakes.
Change the damaged (punctured or
v e r y d e fl a t e d ) t y r e , a n d h a v e t h e t y r e
pressure checked as soon as possible. All repairs and changing of
t y r e s o n a w h e e l fi t t e d w i t h t h i s
system must be carried out by
a PEUGEOT dealer.
T h e t y r e u n d e r - i n fl a t i o n d e t e c t i o n
system is an aid to driving which
does not replace the need for the
driver to be vigilant or to drive re-
sponsibly.
This system does not remove the ne-
cessity for having the tyre pressure
(including that of the spare wheel)
checked regularly, to ensure optimum
dynamic performance of the vehicle
and to prevent premature wear of the
tyres, particularly in the case of ardu-
ous driving conditions (heavy load,
high speed).
The system may temporarily be disturbed
by radio broadcasts on a frequency close
to it.
Note: if the damaged tyre is
temporarily stored in the boot,
it will again emit this message
to remind you of the necessity
of having it repaired. This will prevent
another warning of the same type be-
ing displayed.
Note: this message is also
displayed when one of the
tyres is away from the vehi-
cle (being repaired) or when a
w h e e l w i t h o u t a s e n s o r i s fi t t e d .

Access to the spare wheel and the
jack in the boot
Detach the luggage net.
Lift the boot carpet using the lifting
hook. Secure this hook behind the
boot seal.
CHANGING A WHEEL
Tools available
The following tools are located in the
polystyrene holder in the centre of the
spare wheel:
1. Wheelbrace.
2. Centralising tool.
3. Wheelbrace extension.
4. Jack.
5. Removable towing eye.
6. Alloy wheel trim remover.
7. Trim cover tool. Removal
F o r v e h i c l e s w i t h a l l o y w h e e l s fi t t e d
with wheel trims, pull the centre trim
by using tool 6 in one of the holes.
Loosen the wheel bolts.
Take the jack 4 from the tool kit .
Place the jack in one of the four
locations A underneath the vehicle
(the nearest one to the wheel to be
changed).
Extend the jack using wheelbrace 1
and the extension 3 .
Remove a wheel bolt at the top
a n d fi t t h e c e n t r a l i s i n g t o o l 2 in its
place.
Unscrew the other bolts and remove
the wheel.
Park the vehicle so that it does
n o t o b s t r u c t t r a f fi c : t h e g r o u n d
must be level, stable and non-
slippery.
Apply the handbrake, switch off the igni-
t i o n a n d e n g a g e fi r s t o r r e v e r s e g e a r ( p o -
sition P for the automatic gearbox).
It is imperative to ensure that the occu-
pants get out of the vehicle and wait in
a safe location.
Never go underneath a vehicle which is
supported only by a jack; use a ramp.
T h e j a c k a n d a l l o f t h e t o o l s a r e s p e c i fi c
to your vehicle. Do not use them for other
purposes.

Integrated direction indicator

placed with bulbs of identical
s p e c i fi c a t i o n a n d c o l o u r . Rear lights

Remove the eyelet.
Take out the lamp.
Unclip the bulb holder.
Change the faulty bulb.
Clip the bulb holder.
W h e n r e fi t t i n g i t , e n s u r e t h a t t h e l a m p
is correctly positioned and secured.

2. Brake lights/side lights: Hp16.
Detach the luggage net.
Lift the boot carpet with the lifting
hook. Secure this hook behind the
boot seal.
Unclip the lower part of the sill trim,
then dislodge it by pulling upwards.
Remove the plastic retainer clip
s e c u r i n g t h e s i d e t r i m t o t h e fl o o r .
Unclip the side trim.
Push the repeater forwards and re-
lease it.
Remove the repeater and change it.
This can be obtained from a PEUGEOT

Remove the three plastic retainer
clips securing the cover trim (those
nearest to the lamp).
Move aside the trim.
Disconnect the lamp harness.
Extract the lamp from its housing.
R e m o v e t h e fl a t s e a l .
Unclip the bulb holder.
Change the faulty bulb.
Clip the bulb holder.
P u t t h e fl a t s e a l b a c k i n p l a c e .
W h e n r e fi t t i n g i t , e n s u r e t h a t t h e l a m p
is correctly positioned and secured.
N u m b e r p l a t e l i g h t s : W 5 W.
Remove the transparent cover using
a screwdriver blade.
Change the faulty bulb.
Boot lid lights
1. Reversing lights: Hp16.
2. S i d e l i g h t s : H p 1 6 .
3. Fog lamps: Hp16.
