Water in diesel filter warning light
This comes on for a few seconds when the ignition is switched on. Illumination of this warning light indicates that there is water in the die-
sel filter.
There is a risk of damage to the injection system.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer as soon as possible.

Passenger air bag disarmed warning light This comes on for a few seconds when the ignition is switched on. If the passenger air bag is disarmed, the warning light comes on when the ignition is switched on and stays on.
In all cases, if the warning light flashes, contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
Low fuel level warning light The warning light comes on for a few seconds when the ignition is swit- ched on.Illumination of this warning light while the engine is running indicates
that the fuel level is low.When the warning comes on, you have at least 8 litres of fuelleft.
Air bag warning light The warning light comes on for a few seconds when the ignition is swit- ched on.Illumination of this warning light while the engine is running indicates:
- a front air bag fault, or- a side air bag fault.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
Front brake pad wear warning light Lighting of this warning light while the engine is running
and the vehicle is moving and whenyou press the brake pedal indicatesextreme wear of the front brakepads.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer as soon as possible.
Electronic immobiliser key warning light This comes on for a few seconds when the ignition
is switched on. Flashing of this warning light, after the ignition has been switched on,
indicates an operating anomaly. If this warning light comes on (per- manently) after the ignition is swit-ched on, check the identification of
the key.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer as soon as possible.

Cancelling a programme
To
clear a programmed start-up time,
press button 6briefly.
The screen lighting switches off and the preselection number "B"
disappears. Recalling a programme Press button 6several times until the
required preselection number "B"
appears. Note: after ten seconds, the time
disappears but remains programmed while the screen lighting and the preselection number "B"remain. MAINTENANCE
At least once a year, before winter, have the programmable heating sys-
tem checked by a PEUGEOT dealer. Maintenance and repairs should only
be carried by a PEUGEOT dealer.
Use genuine replacement parts only.
The programmable hea- ting system is fitted with athermal safety devicewhich cuts off combustion
in the event of over-
heating due to a lack of coolant. Inthis case, top up the coolant andpress the programme selectionbutton before switching the heating on again. In the case of a coolant leak,
contact a PEUGEOT dealer. To avoid the inhaling of poisonous
fumes and asphyxiation, the programmable heating must notbe used in an enclosed area, evenfor short periods (areas not fittedwith an exhaust gas extractionsystem). Always switch off the program- mable heating when filling withfuel to avoid any risk of fire orexplosion. The programmable heating system is supplied from the vehicle's fuel tank. Before use,ensure that the quantity of fuelremaining is sufficient.

THE KEYS The keys allow you to switch on the ignition and operate the passengerair bag disarming switch as well as toindependently operate the locks onthe front doors, the fuel filler cap andthe glove box. Unfolding the key Button
1unfolds the ley from the remo-
te control casing.
To re-fold the key, press button 1and
fold the key into the remote control casing. Central locking
From the driver's door, the keys allow you to lock and unlock the front doors,the side door (Minibus) and the reardoors. If one of the front doors is open, the central locking does not work. The remote control performs the same functions at a distance. The remote control Locking Press button
Ato lock the vehicle.
This is confirmed by fixed lighting of the direction indicators for approxi-mately two seconds. Unlocking Press button Bto unlock the vehicle. Locating your vehicle
To
locate your vehicle, if you have
locked it, in a car park: ☞ press button A. The courtesy
lights come on and the direction indicators flash for a fewseconds.

OPENING THE BONNET From inside: pull the handle on the
right-hand side under the fascia. From outside: lift the catch Aand
raise the bonnet. Bonnet strut Secure the strut to hold the bonnet open. Before closing the bonnet, replace the strut in its housing.
To
close
Lower the bonnet and release it at the end of its travel. Check that thebonnet is properly locked. FILLING WITH FUEL Low fuel level
When the minimum fuel level in the tank is reached, thiswarning light comes on. You have approximately 8
litres of fuel left.
The engine must be switched off when filling with fuel. ☞
Open the fuel filler flap by pres-sing the front of it.
☞ Insert the key then turn it to theleft.
☞ Remove the cap and hang it onthe hook located on the inside ofthe flap.
An indication on the cap reminds youwhich type of fuel to use. When you fill your tank, do not conti-
nue after the third cut-off of the
pump. This could cause your vehicleto malfunction. The capacity of the tank is approximately 70 litres. ☞ After filling the tank, lock the cap and close the fuel filler flap.
The key cannot be removed from thelock until the cap has been replacedon the fuel tank.

CHECKS Battery
At the start of winter, have your bat-
tery checked by a PEUGEOT dealer. Air filter and passenger compartment filter Have the filter elements replaced
regularly. If you drive in dusty
conditions, change them twice asoften. Brake pads Brake pad wear depends on the style of driving, in particular forvehicles which are used in town,over short distances. It may be necessary to check the thickness of the pads, even betweenservices. Handbrake Where the handbrake travel is too great or there is a reduction in theperformance of the system, thehandbrake should be adjusted, evenbetween services. Have the system checked by a
PEUGEOT dealer. Manual gearbox This does not need an oil change. Check the level, according to themanufacturer's servicing schedule. Automatic gearbox This does not need an oil change. Have the level checked by a
PEUGEOT dealer, according to themanufacturer's servicing schedule. Oil filter
Change the filter regularly, in accor- dance with the servicing schedule.
Fuel supply cut-off In a serious collision, a system pre- vents fuel from reaching the engine.
To
re-establish the fuel supply, press
the switch on the angle of the front
left-hand suspension assembly,under the bonnet.
