Zero re-set
Your PEUGEOT dealer carries out this operation after each service.
However, if you carry out the service yourself, the re-set procedure is asfollows: Place the ignition key in the MAR
position (1st notch) and wait until the spanner stops flashing,
Press the trip recorder re-set but-ton for five seconds.
The distance remaining to the nextservice is displayed. Press the trip distance recorder zero reset button for five secondsto store the operation in the
memory.
Important: after this operation, if you
wish to disconnect the battery, lockthe vehicle and wait for at least fiveminutes, otherwise the zero re-setwill not be registered. MAINTENANCE OF PARTS SUBJECT TO WEAR
AND A CHECK OF
CONSUMABLES Certain essential components on your vehicle are subject to checks at specific frequencies. ¥ The brake fluid is to be replaced at a maximum of every 36,000/40,000 miles
(60 000 km) or every two years;
¥ The coolant is to be replaced every 72,000/80,000 miles (120 000 km) or
every 5 years;
¥ The passenger compartment filter must be checked at each service
by a PEUGEOT dealer (services and intermediate visits) or more often,
depending on the environment (dust, pollution, etc.);
¥ Replacement of the timing belt: contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
¥ The check on tyre inflation presure must be carried out cold at least once a
month .

Minimum Check the level with the dipstick and top it up. The figure shown is only correct if the vehicle has been on levelground, with the engine stopped, for10 minutes. Minimum oil level gauge fault Flashing of the segments indicates a fault in the oil level gauge or a lack of oil. There is a risk the engine will be damaged.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer. Maximum oil level gauge fault Flashing of the squares indicates a fault in the oil level gauge or a surplus of oil. There is a risk the engine will be damaged.

Instrument panel display After switching on the ignition, three functions are shown in succession:
Ð service indicator (see correspon-
ding section),
Ð engine oil level indicator,
Ð total distance recorder (total and trip distances).
Engine oil level indicator When the ignition is switched on, the engine oil level is indicated for a fewseconds, after the servicing infor-mation. Maximum Check the level using the dipstick to confirm whether the display is correct;a surplus of oil can cause damage tothe engine.

This permits locating of the required events closest to the defined
address. The options available are"Category"
, "City" , "Street" ,
"Street Number" and "List of
events" .
After confirming the chosen events, itis possible to gain access to the cor-responding information and locationby means of the "Info"and "Map"
options.
To confirm the option, select "OK".
"Near address" function
If you wish to enter the destination directly on the map, select "Atlas"
from the main menu, then confirm bypressing the knob. The options available are " ",
" ", "Scale" and "OK" .
The " "and " "functions
enable you to move laterally on the map using the four directionalarrows, representing the four cardi-nal points (North, East, South,
West). The "Scale" function enables you to
enlarge the map around the selected point, in accordance with the elevenpreset levels in relation to the follow-ing scales:
Ð 100 m/cm, 200 m/cm, 500 m/cm,
Ð 1 km/cm, 2 km/cm, 5 km/cm,
Ð 10 km/cm, 20 km/cm, 50 km/cm,
Ð 100 km/cm, 200 km/cm.
Atlas
This is done by rotation of the knob.
To confirm the chosen option, select "OK"
.
Following confirmation on the map, anew page appears with the"Destination" , "Directory" ,
"Service info" , "RDS TMC" and
"Locate" functions.
The "Locate" function enables you
to display the position of the vehicleon the map.
