HEATING
AIR CONDITIONING
1. Air ﬂow adjustmentSlide the control 1 from the
minimum (left) position to the
maximum (right) position to
obtain an air ﬂow sufﬁcient
to ensure your comfort.
2. Temperature adjustment Slide the control 2 from
blue (cold) to red (hot) to
adjust the temperature
to your requirements.
3. Air distribution adjustment
Slide the control 3 to direct the air
ﬂow towards:
the centre and side vents,
the footwells,

4. Air intake
"Recirculated inside air" po-
sition.
the windscreen, the side
windows and the footwells,
the windscreen and the
side windows (demisting -
de-icing).
To quickly de-ice or demist the wind-
screen and side windows:
- set the temperature 2 and air ﬂow 1
controls to maximum,
- close the centre vents,
- place the exterior air intake control 4 in the "Exterior air intake" posi-
tion,
- switch on the air conditioning by pressing button 5. Recirculation of the inside air permits
isolation of the passenger compartment
from external odours and smoke.
Used simultaneously with the air con-
ditioning, the recirculation permits
improvement of the air conditioning
performance at cold settings.
When used in a humid climate, the
recirculation presents risks of misting
of the windows.
"Exterior air intake" position.
As soon as possible, place the con-
trol 4 in this position to avoid the risk
of misting of the windows and dete-
rioration of the air quality.
5. Air conditioning control
The air conditioning is designed to
operate in all seasons. In summer, it
enables the temperature to be low-
ered and in winter, above 0 °C, it in-
creases the effectiveness of the de-
misting.
Press the switch 5, the indi-
cator light comes on.The air conditioning does not
operate while the air ﬂow adjustment
control 1 is in the minimum position .
Note: when stationary, it is quite nor-
mal to notice a slight accumulation
of water under the vehicle as the air
conditioning system discharges its
condensation drop by drop.
Important precaution
Operate the air conditioning system
for 5 to 10 minutes, once or twice a
month, to keep it in perfect working
order.
If the system does not produce
cold air, do not use it and contact a
PEUGEOT dealer.
Note: to optimise the operation of
the air conditioning, leave the vents
open.
Additional heating
Vehicles which are ﬁtted with an HDI
engine may be equipped with auto-
matic additional heating to improve
your comfort.
When the engine is idling or when the
vehicle is stationary, a high-pitched
whistling noise and the emission of
a small amount of smoke and odour
is normal.

FRONT SEATS
Driver and passenger
(single) seats
1 - Forwards-backwards adjustment
Lift the control and slide the seat for-
wards or backwards.
2 - Driver's seat height adjustment
Pull the control upwards. Take your
weight off the seat to raise or push on
the seat to lower.
3 - Seat back angle adjustment
Push the control towards the rear to
obtain the correct seat back angle.

4 - Head restraint height
adjustment
To raise or lower the head restraint,
pull it forwards, sliding it at the same
time.
The adjustment is correct when
the upper edge of the head re-
straint is level with the top of the
head.
To remove the head restraint, place it
in the top position, push the lug and
pull it upwards.
To put it back in position, locate the
stems of the head restraint in the
holes, taking care to keep them in
line with the seat back.
Never drive with the head
restraints removed; they
must be in place and ad-
justed correctly. 5 - Adjustable armrest
To place the armrest in its rest
position:
- raise it until it is in line with the seat
back.
To place the armrest in a position
ready for use:
- fold it down fully,
- raise it slowly to the required posi- tion,
- if the position required is passed, repeat the operations above. Heated seat controls
Press the corresponding control but-
ton. The temperature is regulated
automatically.
Pressing the button again switches
the seat heating off.

FRONT BENCH SEAT
The two-seat passenger bench seat
is ﬁxed.
On a vehicle ﬁtted with a partition, it
is supplied in the forward position.
On a vehicle which is not ﬁtted with a
partition, it is supplied in the rearward
position. You can have it installed in
the forward position by a PEUGEOT
dealer.
The adjustment is correct when
the upper edge of the head re-
straint is level with the top of the
head.
To remove the head restraint, move
it to the upper position, push the tab
and pull it upwards.
To reﬁt the head restraint, place the
stems in the holes taking care to
keep them in line with the seat back.
B - Folding writing table
When open, this has two can holders
and a document clip.
When locked in the open position,
the clip can hold a diary, a laptop... C - Storage basket
Never drive with the head
restraints removed; they

Never drive with the head
restraints removed, they
must be in place and cor-
rectly adjusted.
Installation
From the rear:

check that there is nothing ob-
structing the mountings and
preventing correct locking of
the feet of the bench seat,
 lift the bench seat using the hand-
les C,
 place the bench seat in the vehi-
cle from the rear,
 place the front feet in their ﬁxings
D on the ﬂoor,
 operate control B to check that
the rear feet are not locked,
 tilt the folded bench seat towards
the rear; the rear feet lock auto-
matically,
 pull strap A to unlock the back of
the bench seat,
 raise the back of the bench seat.
Check that the bench seat is
secured correctly (see section
"Securing the bench seat").
REAR HEAD RESTRAINTS
The rear head restraints can be re-
moved and have two positions:
- high, position for use
- low, storage position
To raise or lower a head restraint,
pull it forwards sliding it at the same
time.
To remove it, place it in the high posi-
tion, push the lug and pull it forwards
and upwards.
To reﬁt it, engage the head restraint
rods in the holes taking care to re-
main in the centreline of the seat
back.

REAR SEATS FOR THE 5-6 SEAT VERSION
2nd row bench seat
The bench seat removal and installation operations must be carri
ed out by two
people.
Removal to maximise the load
space
From the rear:
 fold the back of the bench seat,
 lift the control B to release the rear
feet of the bench seat,
 tilt the bench seat,
 detach the front feet from their ﬁx-
ings by lifting the bench seat us-
ing the handles C,
 remove the bench seat via the
sliding side door. Installation
From the sliding side door:

check that there is nothing ob-
structing the mountings and
preventing correct locking of
the feet of the bench seat,
 lift the bench seat using the hand-
les C,
 place the bench seat inside the
vehicle via the sliding side door,
 position the front feet in their ﬁx-
ings D on the ﬂoor,
 reﬁt the assembly checking that the
front feet are secured correctly.
Folding to place in the table
position
From the rear:
 place the head restraints in the
low position,
 pull the strap A to release the
back of the bench seat,
 tilt the back of the bench seat onto
the seat cushion. From the rear:

operate the control B to check
that the rear feet are not locked,
 tilt the folded bench seat towards
the rear; the rear feet lock auto-
matically,
 check that the two central strength-
eners E are hooked on the ﬂoor
correctly,
 pull strap A to release the back of
the bench seat,
 raise the back of the bench seat.
Check that the bench seat is
secured correctly (see section
"Securing the bench seat").

The 2nd row two-seat bench seat is ﬁxed; the 3rd row three-seat bench seat can
be folded and removed.
3rd row bench seat
The bench seat removal and instal-
lation operations must be carried out
by two people. Removal to maximise the load
space
From the rear:

fold the back of the bench seat,
 lift control B to release the rear
feet of the bench seat,
 tilt the bench seat,
 detach the front feet from their ﬁx-
ings by lifting the bench seat us-
ing the handles C,
 remove the bench seat from the
rear.
Tilting the 2nd row seat
Access to the 3rd row or exit from
the 3rd row
From the sliding side door:
 place the head restraint in the low
position,
 pivot handle A to release the rear
feet of the seat,
 tilt the seat forwards fully. Folding to place in the table
position
From the rear:

place the head restraints in the
low position,
 pull strap A to release the back of
the bench seat,
 tilt the back of the bench seat onto
the seat cushion.

SEAT BELTS
Front seat belts
The front seats, driver's seat, one-
seat passenger seat and side seat of
the passenger bench seat, are ﬁtted
with pre-tensioners and force limiters.
Height adjustment:
 to lower the hooking point: press
and slide the control 1 down-
wards,
 to raise the hooking point: slide
the control 1 upwards. Front seat belts with pre-
tensioner and force limiter
Safety in the event of frontal impacts
has been improved by the introduc-
tion of pre-tensioning seat belts with
force limiter for the front seats.
Depending on the seriousness of the
impact, the pre-tensioning system
instantly tightens the seat belts and
pulls them against the bodies of the
occupants.
The pre-tensioning seat belts are
armed when the ignition is on.
The force limiter reduces the pres-
sure of the seat belt on the body of
the occupant in the event of an ac-
cident.
The front centre seat of the two-seat
passenger bench seat is ﬁtted with
an integral three-point inertia reel
seat belt.
Locking:

pull the strap, then insert the end
into the buckle,
 check that the seat belt is fastened
correctly by pulling the strap.
2nd and 3rd row rear side seat
belts
The 2nd row rear side seat and the
rear side seats of the two or three
seat bench seats are each ﬁtted with
a three-point inertia reel seat belt.
Note: a strap-guide* can be ﬁtted
for the 2nd row rear side seat of the
two-seat bench seat for the comfort
of children or individuals of short stat-
ure.
* Available as an accessory.
The passenger must use the raised
buckle, located between the driver's
seat and the centre seat, to attach
his seat belt.
